Matt, don't worry about losing your marbles - we all do it! I remember a few years ago, I couldn't find my mobile, so I rang it from the landline to hear it. I duly heard it ringing upstairs and off I ran to find it. In the moment I rushed to find the phone before voicemail cut in, I forgot what I was doing, and when I found the phone...... I answered it.

Sounds like one of my marbles.. I was changing an inner door lever on my nieces Audi A2 , while doing it I needed to use the torch function on my fone and placed it inside the door cavity, meanwhile my sister came out with coffee n biscuits , totally forgot the fone and put the door card back on etc and sent them home some 20 miles away, after lunch I noticed something missing so I drove to their house and asked my sister to call my fone .. So funny hearing the car ringing like an old 70s telephone ...,😀

@@marty3469 that was annoying eh, only funny later, not while you had to remove the door card again though :) I did it on the wife's Seat Leon a few weeks ago doing the winder mech, and because you have to unplug the door lock mech to take it off, I did and forgot to plug it back in after getting it out, so had to remove the door card again to plug it in, doh :) It was partly because I kept getting interrupted by cars going by, on a street that barely ever has any cars go down it, except, apparently when I choose to do my wife's window winder lol

@@hanshoogendyk2203 Wood burner with fans, need a supply of wood.
We used to have a Natural gas heater in our shop, but every time we opened the doors, the heat dissipated quickly, it was expensive to maintain, and expensive to run. Did ask for a used engine oil heater, the only cost was for the electric fan, but that was dismissed by the boss. He spent double the amount for the oil heater, on the gas heater, and again on the repairs to aforementioned gas heater. 3 times the cost for 3 winter seasons heating. We have a mechanical workshop on site which could have supplied the used engine oil. Valet workshop have had oil burner for over 7yrs, needs a bit of cleaning occasionally, but very reliable. Depends on whether you have access to used engine oil supplier to keep costs to a minimum.

I know you’re looking to build that up and one thing that occurs (knowing nothing about how UA-cam search engine works I admit) would be to add some MX5/ Miata/ Eunos etc wording in title / write up maybe? My thinking being that more people (who don’t know you already) would find you that way. Just a thought.

@@Urchfab Don't get discouraged or, to some degree, be concerned about pushing out content every day, the work flow will come. I was looking at some of the very basic channel metrics the other day and based on subscribed viewers the view rate per "episode" is generally quite high (as a percentage). When I checked, you were getting the same view count as some automotive channels with 5x the subscription rate and the viewer count, approximate, was near 10x the count as channels with similar subscriber base. At some point even with say 50 000 subscribers if you are getting 120 000 views you are the high count outlying channel. The other number I have seen tossed around is you are doing well if you get 15% of the subscriber count in the first 48 hours after releasing the video.

I've subscribed to your channel and I'm watching the build casually because I truly appreciate the craftsmanship. So please don't take what I'm about to say the wrong way but there are a couple of things I don't quite understand. For starters, a Mazda Miata doesn't have enough top speed or road holding ability to justify that sort of a roll cage. And with the Ford body the aerodynamics are going to cut down on the potential speed even more. I don't see you tubbing the rear end to put Monster drag racing tires in the back, so I am totally totally confused as to why that little car requires that much roll cage. What engine do you plan on using, and what do you intend to do with this little beast? Keep up the good work, always looking forward to your videos

@@stardom_fab9144 was pondering this earlier, I would treat the door bars as a "main hoop". You know in this case the bars are not going to be outside the shape of the outer doorskin and by measurement (if the door bellies out a lot from the door opening) you know where that is relative to the threshold and you could then draw the shape connecting the uprights at either pillar/post. In my mind, effectively, like a sideways main hoop. The cope will vary depending on how much from true horizontal the door bar(s) are and if either (both) posts are at some angle from vertical. For me it can help to imagine all are true 90 degrees at the joint and then go "plus" or "minus" so I can try and keep the angle going in the correct orientation. Don't know if that helps. There are all sorts of "cheats" including bending welding wire in the shape you need. I suspect Matt has either found something that works for him in the difficult areas but more that this comes so naturally to him, he just goes and does it. How tube is coped varies hugely as well, some won't do it in any other way than on a lathe, some use a hole saw, others just use a flap wheel and you can do it, to a large extent, with just a saw blade if you know where/how to compensate the offset (depending on tube size and angle of the intersecting tube) as from a side view the cope is a flat surface.
