I have a very unimpressive stash 🥲 I’ve been trying to use all of the yarn I have rn but I also just ordered 9.5 lbs of yarn with several projects in mind 😂
iits so easy to fall for All The Yarn, but harder to decide what to do with it. I rarely have concrete plans ahead of time. Definitley make a hexagon cardigan - they ae simple, amazing and great to wear. And all colours look good. Good on you for all your organising skills
I would need 100 boxes of ziplock bags to organize my stash. 😅 your room with lights and greenery and colors galore is uhhhhh-MAZING!! The big skein you want to use for a vest is boucle yarn. Joanne's used to carry it.
Three beautiful and creative people have given me yarn from their stashes, and this winter I had the idea to gather all the lingerie bags, gallon zip bags, even reusable shopping bags. Then I paired paper patterns with yarns. I adhered removable hooks to the column that divides my work space from the dry foods storage half of the sun room, and hung my ready-to-go projects each on their own hook. I still have yarns to pair with patterns, but now I have an easier time doing so.
Those fuzzy cakes of yarn made me laugh!😂 it is definitely very cool and would be cute as little monsters! Thanks for the organizing inspiration. Love how you said you aren’t buying yarn this year. 🥳
I love your organizing technique. It’s admirable to be organized with the chaos of creation that happens to us. 😂 I use vegetable storage bags from dollar tree and organize by project. I organize my fabric that way as well. You get like 4 or 5 in a pack from dollar tree, but they are nice, breathable, but protective (for the most part) and have drawstrings. And I can see through them. Which I have to be able to see what I have. I have a shorts video and my craft room tour video that shows how I organize. Love your channel!
I put all my yarn in 2gal bags a few months ago, added benefit of keeping the moths from eating the yarn. My current project is a shawl for my mom, hoping to have it done by feb 18th and then a mosaic wall hanging for my sister, after that I have a few blankets I want to do. The multi colored yarn you put in the same cubby as the jiffy green yarn fuzzes up like crazy, I made a blanket with it and it was a fuzzy mess in only a few months.
I love your room, and your t-shirt is awesome. I also use zip lock bags for my yarn. I'm also a massive 1D fan Louis is my favourite 😍 im going to see Niall in August
I like that ombre color yarn!!!! Today i just crochet my first ever granny square with some free yarn that i got at my local yarn shop and im so proud of myself. Yesterday i crocheted a dishcloth. Looking forward to seeing all of the progress and projects
I organize my projects in cubbies; I put a printed copy of the pattern and all of the yarn for it in a cubby so that I can see what I have and remember I don’t need any more things on my to do list 😅.
Thank you! and honestly not very well lol, the worst offender is my bookshelf and I usually just wipe off dust when I see it build up or when I'm deep cleaning my room I try and make a point to dust. :)
Do you have any ideas for chunky stash busting? I'm tempted to make a rug but im not sure. Ive just made 3 blankets so my stash is going down now haha.
3 blankets is so impressive omg, a rug would be cool! you could also take up learning stuffies if you haven't! They are pretty simple to get the hang of when using chunky yarn
@EmmaLorraineCrochet I've started a rug it's going to be absolutely massive because I intend to use all my chunky wool haha. I'm not sure what stuffies are, but I'm definitely going to have a look now.
That ball at 7:30 I went bonkers over! My mom used that exact same stuff when she was learning to knit. it was her first expensive purchase, and she threaded on small glass beads and knit my auntie a shawl with it! She still has enough scraps to make something woth and ive been trying to find where she hid them! If anyone knows what it is please tell me!!!
Love your videos. I am a old retired teacher who has a ton of yarn. You have motivated me to get organized. 🥰🙏
Awh yay! I hope it goes well🩷

Lol don't feel bad, mine is definitely excessive! 🩷

Thank you! Hoping you can get some nice projects done too :)

Ahh I put so much time into my room so thank you!! And good to know, wish they still carried it because I haven't seen it all 💔

Wow I love that organization! I hope your projects turn out beautifully 🩷
Those fuzzy cakes of yarn made me laugh!😂 it is definitely very cool and would be cute as little monsters! Thanks for the organizing inspiration. Love how you said you aren’t buying yarn this year. 🥳
Thank you! I'm hoping your year is just as creative 🩷

Oh I love that! I also need to see everything lol otherwise I WILL forget what I have 😭🩷

Omg I love your plans, but noo😭 Hopefully if I hold a sturdier yarn with it, it will be less mess? We'll see I guess 💔
I love your room, and your t-shirt is awesome. I also use zip lock bags for my yarn. I'm also a massive 1D fan Louis is my favourite 😍 im going to see Niall in August
louis is my fave too! my sister and i are seeing niall in july!
@EmmaLorraineCrochet that's because Louis is the best. I saw him twice last year for the first time. It was amazing!
I like that ombre color yarn!!!! Today i just crochet my first ever granny square with some free yarn that i got at my local yarn shop and im so proud of myself. Yesterday i crocheted a dishcloth. Looking forward to seeing all of the progress and projects
awh yay first projects are so exciting!
Yes! They are exciting. :) I'm hoping to do a small project and then a bigger one

printing out the pattern ahead of time is so smart, good luck!
Girl the best investment for me was getting a yarn winder, I was able to lower the space my yarn took by like 50%
yessss i love mine!
LOVE the decor of/in your craft space! Just wondering. How do you keep everything dusted?
Thank you! and honestly not very well lol, the worst offender is my bookshelf and I usually just wipe off dust when I see it build up or when I'm deep cleaning my room I try and make a point to dust. :)
I’m a new subscriber, I like your energy
Awh thank you so much!
I use zip bags, too, so I can see what’s in them!
Yes! Makes it so much easier
I use dollar tree underbed shoe storage. It allows me to see at a glance. I would "dig" through bins...it was😢😢😢😢
Oh I like that too! I think I would run out of space under my bed 😭
Do you have any ideas for chunky stash busting? I'm tempted to make a rug but im not sure. Ive just made 3 blankets so my stash is going down now haha.

Zip lock bags are the best
10/10 reliable organizer for sure 😌

Omg! I've gotten a few comments on it but no one seems to know yet, if I find out I'll let you know🩷🩷
