It's so nice to see someone that has decided that they have too much yard ACTUALLY doing something actively to reduce that number in such a nice way. Go you!
also you should use your handspun to make a scrappy open front vest! use larger stitches like a treble crochet to show off the texture of the yarns and can even add a little bow to be able to tie the vest closed.
I've been knitting from stash for almost 1.5 years, and it's completely reasonable that you don't get into the really scrappy projects until you've used up your larger quantities☺️ happy knitting!
OMG!!! not my actual hair stuck to the yarn, I am mortified LMFAOOOO a little piece of me made it to u! 😅 literally I could cry tho, I am so happy you love them, I loved sitting here watching 🥹🤍 here’s to a new (familiar) subscriber. i cannot wait for more :)
i'm cracking up that "THE CRIME" is the prettiest yarn i have ever seen lmaooo making stuff to donate is so smart! i am definitely going to start doing that :)
I love the entire journey of using up your stash but give yourself more flexibility so that you can enjoy it 😊 I absolutely love the blanket!!! It looks so cozy and comfortable!
I am also spring yarn 🧶 De stashing. My son goes to a special education middle school so whatever I had that was a single skein went to the school last night. I thought I would have 10-15 skeins. I had 78 😮🙄😮💨 I can’t believe I had that many. But I’m so glad it went to the kids they have a crochet 🧶 class. The blanket is GORGEOUS 😊
I hope to see more of these stash project videos! I recently made a sweater from two balls of pink yarn I had left over from a big blanket and I'm making granny squares from a lot of my stashed yarn to eventually make into blankets and sweaters.
I love that you are using up your stash to make qranny squares even without a plan in mind! I could definitely do that with my seemingly bottomless acrylic box. I will have to revisit this video idea with more true scrappy projects! 😊
UA-cam randomly gave me this video and I'm so glad! That blanket looks so comfy. Also side note: you would look wonderful in the bright yellow yarn, should make a Charlie brown sweater or something
Omg I was already thinking a Charlie Brown sweater for that one ☺ if you see it too, I might have to really do it!! I cant believe you commented that of tall things lol
I don't have a huge stash. I go through my stuff pretty quick. I buy extra so i always have something i can work on. Currently making a hexi-cardigan. I love the dogs playing poker idea for a sweater. Thatd be awesome
The Vest and the sweater are so pretty, congratulations! I was knitting while watching your video and of course I have 100 plans and way too much yarn but I decided not to stress about it 😊 I do write down how many kg of yarn I use every month and make a total per year out of curiosity not as a rule
Do you have a favorite tutorial for making hats on your sentro? Ive had one for over a year and am so intimidated by it. Also, im testing the Flora Sweater by silly hands and am suuuuper excited to see yours 💕
Hi Liz, I enjoyed your video and have already started watching another. YT showed me this video because I’m working on stash busting too. Fun, positive inspo really helps me. I have much more yarn to get through, some of it because of a couple of large projects I bought yarn for. I crochet and haven’t learned to knit yet. I appreciate that you show both 👍I also have an Addi, need to use that as well. Just followed you over on IG. Nice job!
I started knitting for my friends to reduce my stash, I have a lot of novelty yarns and singular balls so I try a lot of mixing and adding texture for all I do :D is fun, my mother was getting mad at me for hoarding so much yarn lol (taking in the fact that I'm mostly allergic to yarn in general)
With my reading and fiber arts I go back and forth between having rules and not having rules. Usually it's me following my desires for a while, then having too many projects going at once and instituting some gentle rules to focus on those projects for a while to bring down the overwhelm. But I don't find it helpful to have rules all the time, at that point the rules feel arbitrary. They make sense to me when they're short term and have a clear goal.
I think you summarized some of my feelings pretty well! I totally relate to following your desires and then making rules to pair down your active projects. I like to let myself take on a lot of projects (or a lot of yarn with theoretical projects) then need to work to manage it all. 😊
A basket would be simply too cute! I have been wanting to make some sort of big basket/bag for home decor and storage! 😊 also I do amigarumi sometimes and am always surprised at how hard I find it! Mine never turn out cute like the pattern haha
I don’t think you failed. You used up a lot of your yarn. I am also using up yarn from my stash and trying not to buy any yarn. I’m mostly successful.😂
@@LizArtsNCrafts you can also check with the oncology centers. Ask them what their specifications are, hospitals are often quite specific both for babies and cancer patients as far as type of yarn, etc. I think women’s shelters, animal rescues and agencies that help the unhoused take items like these & small blankets year round. It’s pretty fun to go down the rabbit hole re crochet and knit donations in your local community 😊
It's so nice to see someone that has decided that they have too much yard ACTUALLY doing something actively to reduce that number in such a nice way. Go you!
Thank you so much for the kind comment!
the game of yarn chicken you played with your blanket was impressive! It really is the best feeling when you get the perfect amount of yarn

Thay would be so cute! I think i can see the vision here 🤩 an open vest is a good idea

I adore the yarn and am so excited to put it to use! You are so talented already at spinning 💖
i'm cracking up that "THE CRIME" is the prettiest yarn i have ever seen lmaooo making stuff to donate is so smart! i am definitely going to start doing that :)
i told myself i can't start another WIP unless i have a project bag to put it in, but then i just found myself making/buying more project bags ahah
You are so smart for limiting yourself! I don't have any limitations so some things I literally never get to 😆
I love the entire journey of using up your stash but give yourself more flexibility so that you can enjoy it 😊
I absolutely love the blanket!!! It looks so cozy and comfortable!
The crochet tapestries on your wall are so lit
Thank you! 😊
I love when I find other small crafty channels!!!

@@LizArtsNCrafts you will find a way that works for you for sure, enjoy the journey!

I loved this video. Do you have a pattern for the, 'I'll pencil you in sweater'?
I followed a pattern from @JustTheWorsted! 😊
Also thank you so much for watching!
Exited to see this stash busting

I liked that crying heart tapestry (?), is there a pattern?
Thanks for watching! I used a pattern for that one from TheCrochetHo (on Etsy and Instagram)

Idk if you make amigarumi but I’m thinking you could make something Easter themed like a cute bunny or a Easter basket/bag of some sort 👍🩷💚🤍
