The Minneapolis show is by far my favorite performances by them, especially how panned the guitars were (which helped me learn many of the songs back in the day). I also saw a lot of comments about the guitars they were using, and to clarify, Beck used either a Les Paul Standard or Studio with EMG pick ups, and Todd used a 60's Gibson Firebird which he kept on using into Men, Women, & children. It was also broken many times though out the years.
maybe they were just obsessed with Portraits of Past at the time of its writing. after all, the latter literally have a song in their discog called KQED Equals Volvo, and the following lyrics appear in the prechorus to Two Tabs: "K-Q-E-D, it's a tune that equals you"
@navindrenchetty8307 I think that's an interesting theory since Must've Run All Day also references lyrics from Mind Over Matter's song "Mindset Overhaul" Needless to say, I always really enjoyed how ETYEWTKAS and Worship & Tribute had lyrics with a lot of double meanings and self-referential commentary that is also directed at other people. Maybe I'm just too much of a glazing fan boy, but I think there is more thoughtfulness and self-awareness to these older songs than some of the commentary nowadays that characterizes them as misogynistic screeching and pedantic gibberish.
Cody Bourque This was back when Coheed was the same genre as GJ, especially the Turbine Blade album, so it would make sense that he would be wearing one.
You think "Coloring Book" was a bunch of dance rock? I'm not insulting you but I respectfully disagree. I feel that ep had their most atmospheric material yet. Just in my view.
Give yourself a culture... "Crohn's Desease", start from this, than you've got some hints about Daryl's lyrics (whoops, sorry if I've got a little bit personal, but otherwise you'd never have the right key to read through them)
Daryl isnt taking his job seriously at all here...he acts like he can just word it all out or that the audience will sing it all out..Step it up Daryl..
Hi we're Glassjaw and we saved rock music

this band will always be perfect to me
The chorus is just fucking chef's kiss
Agreed. My favourite from Worship and Tribute, perhaps my favourite overall. Just an outstanding evolution throughout the track.
AHAH just love how the bassist looks at Daryl when he says that!
that snare is so damn loud
helped me remember why i got the gj ligature tattooed on my leg umpteen years ago.
Pics
Old school
greatest band everrr
one of our classics ♥
they haven't taken mescaline, up until recently they were a straight edge band, so i guess you're right about that.
I love. Glassjaw
i’m so curious why they referenced the bay areas NPR radio station KQED.

My fave GJ song. Good find!
Who gives a fuck if he's wearing a Cohhed shirt, it's fucking glassJAw!
Cody Bourque This was back when Coheed was the same genre as GJ, especially the Turbine Blade album, so it would make sense that he would be wearing one.
nice. Bass player with the coheed shirt.
A lot of songs people make are from perspectives of other people. Such as a few of Thrices songs being from captains of ships or men in jail.
he screams with ease

There's a reason I bought it then lost is at Mardi Gras a few weeks later. It ruled.
I'm glad!
Thanks for your time!
Fukn goosebumps. Still.
i love daryl's goofy hair haha
1 person doesn't know what it's like to "fit in".

so fucking good last Wednesday. I admit, I m0shed on people during the SAILOR SCENT part. hahaha.
@alexmelch yes.
oh. then yeah, i TOTALLY agree with that.
Give yourself a culture... "Crohn's Desease", start from this, than you've got some hints about Daryl's lyrics (whoops, sorry if I've got a little bit personal, but otherwise you'd never have the right key to read through them)
1:43 haha
oh, they are happening. 11/4/07
@parrish2 Gibsons non-reverse firebird
That's a Tobacco Burst. Probably a Les Paul Classic.
@VanBurenBoi hahaahhhaaha........ i hope so
How much deftones did this guy listen to?
was this in Pittsburgh? I think i was there
@alexmelch Um, yes?
Is it a Les Paul Desert Burst or maybe a Tobacco Burst?
If anyone is a guitarfreak here...
He doesn't say KQED here. For copyright reasons, perhaps?
Gibson firebird
one of the drum mics is WAY too loud
Yeah you're right. It's the Les Paul Standard?
i actually think the studio version guitars sound better, but on the other hand on this video they sound fatter/crunchier.
pretty sure he was talking about dead automatica
tribute
Dear Glassjaw,
Mescaline doesn't come on tabs. Apparently you were ripped off.
Thanks.
Needs the 2 guitars. Sounds hollow with just one guitar I’ve seen in other videos.
It's a gibson firebird,not a Jazz master.
A non-reversed one.
a concertina to my veins (L)
Louder snare, plz
or Fender Jaguar? ;)
I
head*
What's the problem with educating the masses? Did I say anything to offend Glassjaw or their fans? No, I didn't.
Thanks, anyway!

Did he really say "sodomy between him and me"???
I like how he just didn’t sing the one part lmao
Que sera?
Erotic hurrah
With no rescue, girl.
the crowd is really pissing me off
did he just have back surgery or something?
What the hell does that have to do with anything?
lol he didnt have back surgery daryl palumbo has problems XD
this crowd is lame. i guess it's "knowing you fit, you fit, you fit in."
Daryl isnt taking his job seriously at all here...he acts like he can just word it all out or that the audience will sing it all out..Step it up Daryl..
hahahaha weird
So many drug references in thier songs??
Thought daryl and beck are edge wtf??
