time goes by too fast - I remember seeing them at Rechter theater during the reunion..he even worked at Paintball Wholesalers in Frederick next to the Beef Buns N' Paradise. Can't believe the dude is dead.....we are all reaching that age now :(
La habilidad que tenía Matt para pasar de una voz súper gutural a una voz muy melódica automáticamente, joder que pedazo de vocalista era! R.I.P Matt Holt. 🙏🏻❤
Seen them live in Philly back in 98, when I was in High School.. Matt Holt came out of the venue and talked with us until 2a.m. I missed the last el, had to walk home, but 20 years later I still vividly remember that night.. R.I.P Matt!
For anyone that has never had the pleasure of seeing them live, I'm truly sorry. They're still on my top 5 list of greatest bands I've ever seen and met. R.I.P. Matt.. 🤘🏻🤘🏻
Got to see them live at House of Blues Hollywood back in early 2000’s with Motograter (awesome fucking band), and Ministry, one of the biggest underrated bands ever

I was lucky enough to meet Matt and become friends with him. I miss him dearly. I'll never forget our phone calls. In the most Matt way, after I'd met him a few times, he said, "I don't know why I give a fuck about you, but I do" haha
@Manny Salazar Violence was my intro and what I believe became the staple album for Nothingface. Skeletons came second as of then, although... I, Diablo is my hands down fav.....
Did Nothingface break up? I read that somewhere... it would be a shame for one of the best bands to retire. Totally underappreciated and underrespected band right here.
All I know is I said nothing face to UA-cam and saw this it was new to me and I love this song it's the best thing I heard in ages it's funny that it's not a current song 0 button older song
That's the beauty of music though, you play what you want, how you want. You'll never have a unique sound if you always play, Metal/country/jazz with only a "metal/country/jazz" guitar. Any guitar can play any genre.
these guys are the shit. i used to work at the Dallas Clubhouse, Vinnie Paul's club, and we got to meet a lot of musicians. when Hell Yeah! formed we all got to meet the band, party at the house, and get passes to the shows, do promos, they even used some of the club girls for their early music videos.
this is the first nothingface song i ever heard. i heard it way back in 2000 and instantly started listening to the band. it's still one of my favorites from them.
Meeeee toooooo! I miss seeing them in small ass rat holes where everyone loved nothing face. They opened up for mudvayne one year in a place that didn't even hold a 100 people
Miss seeing them when they were starting out. Manny's in Rockville so many good times. Must be 14 years or so now. Damn were getting old but damn good times back in the day!
I will never get sick of this song. About 20 years later. This band got me through middle school. And then I find out Matt Holt passed away in the town I went to middle school in? And to think the only time I saw them live was on vacation in south carolina. lol
The Albumns: "An Audio Guide to Everyday Atrocity" & "Violence", remind me, when I was doing weight training at night, to my 14 and 15 years old. / Los discos: "An audio guide to Everyday atrocity" y "Violence", me recuerdan cuando por las noches hacía pesas, a mis 14 y 15 años.
To the people about HellYeah i have seen these guys live before, and i have to say they were pretty good live, put on a good perfomance. I did read before it all kicked off that vinnie didn't want a part of it but then eventually changed his mind. Bands come and go and collaborations happen and not always to make a quick buck, so i guess HellYeah is one of those good collaborations but i bet you they will all return to their roots when they get bored of it. Mudvayne and Nothingface are good.
Remember how annoying it was to listen to your parents' "oldies" music when you were a kid? I cannot wait to inflict my oldies on the next generation. Wish I'd seen these guys live, great stuff.
First time I saw Nothingface, they were playing at someone else's show, never heard of them. I saw these guys come out with khaki pants, nice button down shirts, looking like total tools and like they came to the wrong show. They started playing, boy was I wrong, instant fan. Loved them ever since. I saw them a bunch of times after that.
I heard the news today and wanted to come here to share a funny story. Well I think it is funny. Back in high school I got into Nothingface after seeing them on a Mudvayne tour, I think it was right after Violence came out. The show changed my life because I realized then that I wanted to be in a band after seeing them play. But the funny part is that I live in the south and at the show I bought a shirt of theirs that had pentagrams and devil horns, needless to say I wore it to school and got in so much trouble but did not care at all because, fuck em right? I continued to wear that shirt to school until it pretty much fell apart from wearing it so much. Well I guess its not a funny story, but damn all of those memories came back today. R.I.P. Matt.
Ahhhh, metal with jazz holobody guitars. These guys are the reason I use a holobody for my own metal. I just love it. It's so "wrong", which couldn't make it more right ;)
This is the song that got me into Nothingface in the late 1990s. Heard it on my local college radio station. It's my opinion that this band is one of the few from that scene that doesn't sound completely dated today. Atrocity or Violence could be released today and get the same response.
thumbs up if you're here to remember how much of a beast Matt was...RIP brother...
blvck gold I've been listening to them like this before he died

RIP Matt, you are one of the most unique singers of prolly the most underrated nu metal band there ever was!

So proud to say that I saw them live multiple times, met them, and still have their autographs. R.I.P. Matt. We all miss you... 🤘😔
"An audio guide for everyday atrocity" is the darkest nu metal record ever created.
But there was nothing nu metal about everyday atrocity, it sounded like old school heavy metal & a bit grungy.
Old school heavy metal mixed with grunge is one of the many flavours of nu metal lol

I’d say Korn’s self titled is the darkest in the genre
Helio - ...Until I Wake Up Bleeding...
man that first verse is something else, some of the best nu metal rage
