You are a lovely lady! I loved watching your video because now I know what I'm going to do with my bumper crop of homegrown strawberries, so fun! Thank you! My family is going to be HAPPY HAPPY HAPPY!
Lady, you are so funny! you made me laugh so much. Any way loved how your jam turned out. Delicious!! I am getting to do my apple pie filling, then Strawberry Jam!! only because you made it look so easy peasy. I subscribed so will stay in touch. thank you for the video and your time.
Awe, thank you so much! I figure if we have to cook, we should have a little fun doing it. 😄 Wishing you all the best with your jam and pie filling. It really is pretty easy all-in-all. I did the peach "jam" that was more like a pie filling...oh how delicious! Best of everything to you! God Bless. ❤
They will last in the pantry. Just place them on the self (unopened)! Once you open a jar and the seal is broken, you will have to keep it in the fridge.
Hi. I have always water bathed them. I have never flipped them and really not sure if it would work. I guess if you wanted to try a jar, you could see what would happen. If it did not seal, you could put it in the fridge to use first. Good luck and God Bless ❤
Yes, you can use less sugar. Not sure how much it would affect the taste, but the sugar amount is up to the individual. I would try a smaller batch and see how you like it. As for the Sure Gel packets, they are 1.75oz. God Bless ❤
7 Cups of sugar to the 5 cups strawberry mash. You could add less if you want it less sweet, but I use this standard recipe and it comes out perfect. ❤

Can I use frozen strawberries? Can’t wait to make this recipe for Christmas!
Frozen strawberries adds more water into the process, so if using, you may have to add more pectin or cook down longer to thicken. 💗
@ thank you. I wasn’t sure 👍
After they are done, do you freeze them, into the fridge or will they last in the pantry?
They will last in the pantry. Just place them on the self (unopened)! Once you open a jar and the seal is broken, you will have to keep it in the fridge.
I really enjoyed your video. Do they need to be water bath or can you flip them like plum jelly?
Hi. I have always water bathed them. I have never flipped them and really not sure if it would work. I guess if you wanted to try a jar, you could see what would happen. If it did not seal, you could put it in the fridge to use first. Good luck and God Bless ❤
@@CHwT thank you I will let you know how it goes.😊
what do I do if I only have enough of the last jar, about 2/3 full thanks y
You can try to still process it in the canner, but if it does not seal once it's cool, place it in the refrigerator and use it up first.
How much sure jel is in the packet? Can I use less sugar?
Yes, you can use less sugar. Not sure how much it would affect the taste, but the sugar amount is up to the individual. I would try a smaller batch and see how you like it. As for the Sure Gel packets, they are 1.75oz. God Bless ❤
How much sugar for in this recipe?
