In one of the Phantom Liberty missions you can threaten some goons that come to collect from one of the NPCs you're hanging out with and they back away saying something like "We didn't know he could afford that level of protection". I thought it was pretty cool :)
They should add more "fear" type mechanics to gameplay, like exist through some of the quickhacking passives(which they need to fix). It would work so well with the flow of combat to have a mechanic where some weaker ads panic and either disengage combat temporarily or get debuffed by their crippling fear in some way.
There's actually a "secret" fear status which levels depends on your street cred that make ennemies do slightly less damage, be more campy and miss lots of their bullets. You know it's the case when some1 says a line where he seems he's shitting his pants.
Yeah, that'd be really cool especially now where you can ground pound on someone with your fists and make them into gibs. Its not like every Joe from a corpo is cybernetically an ice cold commando.

You have all these low level thugs who still try like dude do you know who I am? Doesn’t even need to be a cutscene. Maybe if you walk by some npc’s they’ll be like “yo man is that… is that V?” And the other one will be like “stop staring dude, you tryna get us killed?”
I wish street cred played more of a role in situations like this. If you're really a living legend, people should recognize it. Even Oblivion had random strangers commenting on your deeds and recognizing you. You would think someone who Took on Kang Tao face first or ambushed MaxTac and lived to brag about it would get a little more fear and respect from lowly gangoons and mercs that cross their path.
The funny thing about the gonk diner stickup crew is that they don't even run off too far. They're just across the road from the place once you're out of there, and are flagged as hostile. Plenty of bystanders though, so be careful if you decide to put them out of your misery.
I mean considering the fact that we literally came back from the dead messed with militech, maelstrom and all the other gangs and goons on the streets of night city not shortly including the fact that we stole from and killed Arasaka’s best I think that makes us one hell of a strong front not to be messed with. Can I also mention the fact that more than most of the folk living in night city we’re chromed up with the best possible cyberware upgrades that most people can’t even get their hands on. I think everyone has a reason to fear V’s reputation being either a lone wolf or team player in either case we’re one hell of a badass that’s for sure.

The game started out (in my playthrough) with everyone kicking V's ass. Then you get to level 50, and start tearing up everyone who caused problems before. I got to these scenes after getting strong enough to destroy them, easily. It was very satisfying to here V tell them how afraid they really should be.
I mean, she practically is. High functioning, but still cyberpsycho. If the Silverhand chip in her head didn't do it in for her mental state, dunno what would.
@@Humaricslastcall Adam smasher is considered a high-functioning cyber psycho. He's fully borged out and extremely apathetic, but not unpredictable. V isn't there YET, but is verging on it.
Male V reminds me of Jason Statham. "You can leave and live or I can just kill you all." Female V reminds me of Jack from ME2 "Don't run, you'll just die tired."
Would be really cool if in Cyberpunk 2 there were dialogue options locked behind what chrome you have installed. Got a sandy? Click this button and you basically teleport behind the guy at the diner to show him how outmatched he is.
What i love about this game is the distinction of dialogue between male and female when interacting with NPC'S especially when your a female you get called a B more and get hit on more instead of the npcs saying lines that dont differentiate between male and female like other RPG's. Dragon age origins also captured that point well.
My favourite is a “day in the life” with the food vendor. The two guys who try to steal his bike normally fight if you get involved but with enough street cred one notices you as the “merc everyone’s been talking about, the one that rose from the dead” and they proceed to run away after recalling how many people you’ve killed in such a short amount of time.
For the dela, the protqg diff that i felt was like: Male v: reminds u who he is, what he can do Female v: this is what i will do to you, just give me a reason to do it
Ghost of Tsushima's fear mechanic made me love every other game that gets a similar mechanic. Literally the point reached where the enemy reconsiders simply because your character became too strong, and they recognize it makes it my favourite mechanic in the game. If stuff like that happened with my V, I'm pretty sure their prey drive gets triggered similar to a tiger if you turn your back on them.
This is the kind of V that I'd imagine would stand up and walk up to an enemies gun barrel and encourage them to pull the trigger, just to see if they would actually do it.
I mean why wouldn’t you? This is the same bastard who crawled out of the grave, got dragged into a car of a suit, had an iron put in their dying cold hands, and started blasting at Saka ninjas on a HIGH SPEED CHASE! And LIVED to do more shit after that! Why . The fuck . WOULDN’T you be scared of this walking corpse?!
Imagine is as your reputation grows the enemys just start to know u and rather scurry away then confront you that would be a mechanic i would enjoy a lot.
Dealing with the Scavs using the 12 Strength option is one of the most badass things in this game. You straight-up tell the most ruthless, psychotic gangs in the city "yeah. I did it. I slaughtered your people like sheep. What are you gonna do about it?" AND THEY GIVE YOU THE MONEY AND WALK AWAY.
In phantom liberty there’s another intimidation V can do if they killed Brigitte where when some Voodoo boys blocking your way mention that you killed her you can threaten to wipe them out like how you wiped out Brigitte
Im playing a build with the sovereign and sandevistan and blunt weapons. I imagine the fear they feel as they see someone literally flying through the air and going full doomslayer. All of the health resto, plus the adrenaline, and the armour makes you pretty much unkillable, or use LMGs from a distance if you REALLY need to stay away.
Wish, wish, WISH more games have this, where NPCs recognize that you've offed LITERAL HUNDREDS of enemies & they decide they'd rather run than fight you. Hate games where you're wearing the best armour, wielding the best weapon, defeated feared foes & some random bandit just thinks "yeah I'll kill 'em with this pipe". Fucking stupid.

Chermi Leigh makes Female V sound so badass when she makes her threats. She goes from sounding confident to cold and brutal in a heartbeat nicely.
Guy sticks up a restaurant
V: I run the fade with arasaka for fun
Guy dips faster than a sandevistan user
Nobody:
Not a soul:
V:*sounded like she was about to go cyber psycho
That one with the Aldecaldos is the most badass that V ever sounds lol
V is just a badass. Funny how v even scared carol lol
V... a Boogeyman of NC
She's the solo you send to zero the fucking boogeyman
What i love about this game is the distinction of dialogue between male and female when interacting with NPC'S especially when your a female you get called a B more and get hit on more instead of the npcs saying lines that dont differentiate between male and female like other RPG's. Dragon age origins also captured that point well.
The main badass character we always wanted 🙌🏻🙌🏻🔥
My favourite is a “day in the life” with the food vendor. The two guys who try to steal his bike normally fight if you get involved but with enough street cred one notices you as the “merc everyone’s been talking about, the one that rose from the dead” and they proceed to run away after recalling how many people you’ve killed in such a short amount of time.
God, as if I didn't love Cherami Leigh's performance as V enough.
For the dela, the protqg diff that i felt was like:
Male v: reminds u who he is, what he can do
Female v: this is what i will do to you, just give me a reason to do it
I think they should've added something like if you killed enough enemies fast enough, the rest just dropped their guns and left
That would so boring💀💀
@@williammoutchia9292 one, nobody said you needed ti spare them. Two, it's realistic. If you saw 5 dudes die in a second you'd run for your life.
@@williammoutchia9292 tell that to ghost of tsushima.
@@memeboi2096 I want to actually fight people. Not chase them down
@@memeboi2096 Plus, that happens all the time. Sandevistan is a common implant. Why is it any different when V does it?
“I’ve danced with malestrom and arasaka” love that line just shows v isn’t your average merc
I like how female v threatening an enemies.
1:40 Wait... wallet?
How come these all happen in Rancho Coronado
4:43 Me: *proceeds to quicksave and see if my V can indeed slice these scavs to ribbons before he pulls said trigger*
Fem V has just the right amount of sassy, snare, psyco and calm to not be overdone in any way but perfect
“shit…she followin his?” E
Ghost of Tsushima's fear mechanic made me love every other game that gets a similar mechanic.
Literally the point reached where the enemy reconsiders simply because your character became too strong, and they recognize it makes it my favourite mechanic in the game.
If stuff like that happened with my V, I'm pretty sure their prey drive gets triggered similar to a tiger if you turn your back on them.
wanted to do the scav mission like this on my second playthrough but the scav hater in me just couldn't do it. Doesn't feel right to let them live.
This is the kind of V that I'd imagine would stand up and walk up to an enemies gun barrel and encourage them to pull the trigger, just to see if they would actually do it.
Yeah you don’t mess with Sailor V
Fem V's VA was so fucking perfect holy shit I love this game
Yep I agree also I consider her voice actress as a legendary in my opinion
Her name is Cherami Leigh
I had 50 street cred and first one didn't trigger. All the others were Solo/Body dialogue so that makes sense.
On that last part, i didnt listen because i thought the fight was about to start, i just started blasting.
Idk, V had redditor energy on some of those intimidation lines. Less is more sometimes
I feel like male V works better because he is a lot more calm than female V and so he seems more confident and intimidating
@@paulsimonin6465Male V has dogshit voice acting that sounds the same in every scene
@@paulsimonin6465male v has the intimidation while female v has more of the sass and spunk
Finally, someone else said it
True but unlike redditors, V can back their threats up 😂
I usually do my legendary rocket launcher do the talking, never had this kind of conversation haha.
Female V sounds like she really belongs in NC, she’s tough, gritty and scary 😂
These strength checks should really be chrome checks to see how cyberpycho you're becoming
4:17 is how V should almost always talk past lvl 35 or 50 street cred
I mean why wouldn’t you? This is the same bastard who crawled out of the grave, got dragged into a car of a suit, had an iron put in their dying cold hands, and started blasting at Saka ninjas on a HIGH SPEED CHASE!
And LIVED to do more shit after that! Why . The fuck . WOULDN’T you be scared of this walking corpse?!
I didn't know you could resolve that scav meeting peacefully
Imagine is as your reputation grows the enemys just start to know u and rather scurry away then confront you that would be a mechanic i would enjoy a lot.
Does anyone know the song playing in the first scenario?
Female V is canon for me it makes it all much more enjoyable.
Nomad male v is canon. Corpo female v is canon. Streetkid is gonk.
@@owlsayssouthstreetkid is badass, tf are you talkin' bout, punk?
@@owlsayssouth Choom sniffin too much glitter eyo.
Making silverhand fuck a cop is worth all of it.
You only get these options if you're street cred is high enough. They're not scared of V just scared how much the player has grinded.
V has offed so many gonks she should be an honorary member of the NCPD by now.
Always fun when you call pull off a terrifying presence and the baddies just cheese it
In phantom liberty there’s another intimidation V can do if they killed Brigitte where when some Voodoo boys blocking your way mention that you killed her you can threaten to wipe them out like how you wiped out Brigitte
I didnt even know you could make the scavs cough up the eddies.
In all these scenarios I wasn't 'solo' enough to intimidate them but it was fun to collapse their systems before the leader even stopped talking.))
Fucking stupid.
shit! didn’t realise there was more dialogue after “you can die together” they were dead before old mate got off his bike 😂
When the bender said order whatever you want it's on the house, İ cleared out all the menu lol
Female V is the superior voice actor by far 😂 Male V just has a raspy voice
It's always satisfying to see V scaring the sh*t out of these choombas.
Was the "I know it, you know it" an The Irishman easter egg.
Two years later some random gong from nowhere just knocked your teeth out. Good ending?
sad
this is the thing i never saw before since i played this game...
Why are you running? WHY ARE YOU RUNNING?!
Would loved if there were more random gangoons who are scared, avoid fighting or who try to just run away.
Vhen I look at V, I think of a lyrics by Black Sabbath... ‘nobody wants him. he just stares at the world.’
