Yeah, not having this sort of interaction is something that pisses me of in games - had this sort of problem in TW3 as well - a lot of the low level encounters should definitely be a lot more scared of the player and be aware of how outmatched they are, instead of being all like "Oh, you murdered 10 of our people a while back and didn't even break a sweat? Well now theres a whole 4 of us, and well take revenge", no, mfers you gonna die

There’s a small gig like that as well. In that small open air area where the kids are trying to steal this man’s motorcycle. They realize it’s you and damn near piss their pants and run away

Literally the smartest scav in the whole game. He was totally right, it would have played out the exact same way; he pulls his gun and V slices his head off with his mantis blades. The rest of his chooms fire at him but the bullets only ricochet off of his metal implants, then next goes their heads.
Scavs are one of the only factions I kill on sight regardless of the situation. So seeing you whip out the katana towards the end there had me smiling and nodding my head.
I did this quest recently with a sandy katana build, quick saved beforehand because I was experimenting with dialog. First time I just tried to talk it through and they pulled weapons, so I hit the sandy and did indeed slice them into ribbons before any of them could pull the trigger.

2:25 Little mistake here in the dialogue when the Scav said "You're the one who flushed us out in Watson, Sandra Dorsett. Thought we'd forget, huh?". That's the first rescue mission you took with Jackie and it was NOT in Watson, it was in Japantown. Although you do return to Watson after that quest, and Sandra Dorsett lives in Watson, so the person responsible with this dialogue got it mixed. Dunno if this has been fixed in 2.1 or not.

This particular side quest here, Gun Music, becomes available after you finished Riders On The Storm where you help Saul out of a Wraith base. You're not required to finish one of Regina's gig where you might accidentally find Sandra Dorsett's databank, which is in Watson and also involves the Scavs, in order for this quest to become available.
there's a way to make it even more badass. they have a sniper, hiding above, behind them. if you scan it (there's also other requirement which i don't remember), you can mention it to the aldecaldos. then when talking to the scav boss, you'll tell him about not being scared at all of that sniper they have in hiding. same dialogue, but with more lines which basicaly make them see not only how strong v is, but also it'll take more them that to take v by surprise.

There's a side quest were you can do this to stop a diner robbery. You never even stand up during the entire discussion and just intimidate them into leaving.
In PL there's a gig where you need to call off accusations from some guy's son by talking to the prosecutor/lawyer lady in Heavy Hearts. If you managed to sneak up and enter the lodge, her “bodyguard” will threaten you if you won't take a deal from her. You can literally say to him something like this - Take a look at me and count how many days you have till retirement, or something like that. And guy just leave the room scared as shit.
when i got this quest i was dashing and jumping around the yards and literally jumped in the middle of the scavs and aldecados. it really added to the "hey whats up whats happening? is there a problem here?"
V is literally Adam Smasher without being 95 percent borged up. Man fights Cyberpsychos as a side hustle a job that takes a squad of Maxtac guys to do but V does it for less than 10k worth of eddies. I swear those jobs dont pay enough given what the hell you are going against in those jobs. I love when games recognize your OPness. Wish it was done more given V is already a legend solely from the Arasaka heist and coming back from the dead. I had a mission where some guys were freaked out I was the guy who came back from the dead after the Arasaka thing. V is the goddamn boogeyman to this punks next to Adam Smasher.

I didn't realize this was a scripted event with dialogue options and all. I found this encounter by accident while playing, I was jumping from building to building testing out my new double jump implant. I noticed the interaction between the scavs and my nomad chooms and literally jumped down smashed the guy to the ground and proceeded to shoot them all down quick and easy with the sandevistan lmao. Seeing this now on my feed cracked me up 😂
for me the line that make V feel super badass is not even from V him/herself, its from that poor arasaka dude in the "dont fear the reaper" ending who says "it's just a fucking merc ?? alone ??" god i always feel so powerfull whenever i hear that one

In this mission I always walked up behind the scavers, quietly taking them down one by one (non lethally, but lord knows they deserve worse) till that was only the main group. I then strolled past them and joined the Aldecados looking chill but slightly smug.
Scariest thing about V is even after the 2.0 update, he's still able to slaughter a group of Scavs in seconds, so when he says "I could slice you into ribbons before you squeeze a trigger" he's telling the truth.
Male v knocked it out of the park with this line. I like how cold and assertive he is but is only best played as a streetkid. Fem v sounds vicious as well but I prefer her Corpo lines. I don't get the argument that male V is "trying too hard" but doesn't explain how, which is usually a sign that they heard someone elses opinion and try to pass it off as their own.

Subdued every single cyberpsycho in the city. And has a perk that lets them temporarily go cyberpsycho themselves. Yeah if anything they were pretty smart not picking a fight.
I'm a woman yet I played the game with a male V, and even if I had to play as a voman, I wouldn't play, not this kind of game. Everyone says how emotional was female V, but honestly, V isn't supposed to be an emotional freakshow. Sure, it has some deep moments, but I like how male V is struggling inside to keep the tough guy act while he's falling into pieces. Just because female V acted like a crying girl and act like a tough guy, that's just doesn't match at all. Not to mention, between Johnny and male V, the chemistry just works way better. That's that brother from another mother effect, I actually loved all the dialogues between them. Even when Johnny made fun of V's size on some private arena :D But it's just my opinion, you don't have to agree or argue. I just prefer male characters :D
Ya, the games story and interactions just fit better with a male V. Its not the same when Johnny starts talking about his "adventures", when its a female V. Or the fact that Johnny would be that indifferent to taking over a female body despite his male persona. Maybe if they thought to swap the person who was the Rocker and the Netrunner between Alt and Johnny to suit the gender of V, itd work better.

Bro i have been playing this game since launch, and i somehow did not know i can succeed on this mission :'D I always ended up angering them, and then had to take them out. Though.. I only play netrunner builds, so i have basically nothing put on my body attribute so, maybe that's why..
Why does everyone step over eggshells when mentioning the female voice over? Be real. Vincent fits the tough guy and ruffian characterization excellently. valerie just tries to be some hard ass, but she ends up looking and sounding like a try-hard. Unconvincing at all. Be sincere.

There's a sniper behind the silos if you decide to go guns blazing on this one you can take him out in stealth before interrupting the deal

Ya, the games story and interactions just fit better with a male V.
Its not the same when Johnny starts talking about his "adventures", when its a female V. Or the fact that Johnny would be that indifferent to taking over a female body despite his male persona.
Maybe if they thought to swap the person who was the Rocker and the Netrunner between Alt and Johnny to suit the gender of V, itd work better.

Bro i have been playing this game since launch, and i somehow did not know i can succeed on this mission :'D I always ended up angering them, and then had to take them out. Though.. I only play netrunner builds, so i have basically nothing put on my body attribute so, maybe that's why..

Played both.
Both have their moments when they work exceptionally well and when they feel forced or unreal.
Overall, I prefer female V over male V as well.
