I’m glad to hear that your MIL is staying at the farm and is close by for the kids to see often. I’m sorry that your dad wasn’t able to come back from Poland to stay with you. The prices of all groceries are insane but it seems like you got some decent meat deals at Costco. Yes the price seems high for the meat but you can get multiple meals from most of the cuts of meat. That pork loin should give you a good number of pieces for making into schnitzel. Those steaks weren’t too badly priced at around $8 each for a decent size steak. The thighs and wings might be a bit pricey but you aren’t using all of them in a single meal so again the price broken down per meal or serving isn’t too bad of a deal. The eggs seem a bit expensive but they are still considered a relatively inexpensive protein source. Especially since they are free run eggs and worth the extra expense. OverallI don’t think you overpaid for anything except maybe the single cucumber, bell peppers and tomatoes from Yummy Market. But considering they are fresh out of season produce , it’s to be expected for what the stores are charging for everything these days.
