Red Wing boots. I may be wrong, but up until a several years ago, Red Wings were only sold in the tan color in the States because only construction workers bought them, and they were not interested in other colors. But in Japan, Red Wings were made in a variety of colors because they were worn for fashion.
That's why Japan for me is a bucket list. Here in Saudi, North Face and Carharrt are so effin expensive but nobody knows or wear much these brands. I am always watching Japan lifestyle videos and I agree alot with you.
Another choice is Red wing boots, every time I enter a redwings in the states, there is absolutely no tasteful options except work boots and some casual wear while the Japanese options in there store is just night and day with very stylish and well built boots compared to the us ones, they are insanely hard to find in the us and almost exclusively for jp
we have the heritage boutique in singapore too, which stock many different designs, although my first irish setter boots were bought from the US back in 1997 from a very nondescript store!
Dope video ! I never been to Japan but do they have kool Tech Clothing with pockets, rain proof BLK Tech style with minimal hints of color, like some of Tech they use to sell in NYC but not that much anymore?
Champions makes reverse collection which is much superior than normal one. ASICS have all shop of Nippon made line that I’ve seen only in Japan, also they make office like shoes using famous gel tech. New Balance have models for walking 880 very popular model made only for Japan . Converse made minimalist model made in Japan. Also Vans have a line I never seen anywhere else this models. Levi’s LVC 501 made in Japan exquisite quality. And in Ralph Lauren boutique next to Harajuku they used to sale jeans made in Japan of excellent quality. I’m not sure, but there is a bigger choice of CDG and Yamamoto. Nike shops had unique models and collaborations. There is dedicated second hand store for only Ralph Lauren. Paul Smith in some point had out of 220 shop 200 in Japan 😂
I think it’s important to say that most of these brands aren’t actually owned or run by the original brand, moreso a Japanese company bought the rights to the name to make clothes under the brand benefitting off its own historical appeal that
I went to the Harajuku new balance last year but they didnt have too nuch there or i didn't look hard enough Most of my time i spent in beams, blue blue japan, united arrows, and 2nd hand shopa
What is the full name of the 574 at 9:33? It looks so clean 🔥 Nevermind, I found the name on my own. New Balance Tokyo Design Studio 574, so many clean colorways 😩
Even though Dickies and Champion are more fashion forward in Japan, it doesn’t mean they are bad brands that have a bad reputation in the West. They are still quality brands, which is the reason why Japan took interest in said brands in the first place!
I'm a die hard New Balance Fan and when i see the wide selection in Japan i'm very envy😊 but i think that here in Germany we have a much better selection than in the states. Even the store on fifth avenue was disappointing
I want to go back to Japan to spend more time in Harajuku/Shibuya. I also want a blazer that I can wear formally or casually. Is there anywhere good to get that sort of thing off-the-rack or even anywhere that can tailor such a thing in under a week?
U probably want to just contact your desired tailor ahead of time you travel there. Alternatively, they ship it to you after they finish the suit. First option is way better, but u gotta get a friend to measure you for like at least 30 minutes
I could also argue that New Era is better in Japan as well. Aside from Baseball caps, they’ve got more casual clothing offerings you won’t find in the US. Almost everyone in Japan is rockin a NY Yankees cap
I need someone to touch on Jam's World. Bc the aftermarket price has gone up. And to me, for NO FCKN REASON other than being vintage, soft n comfy. I'm hatin on anyone charging 50 plus for a button down. FU. 🤨
2:14 MasterMind.. Wow! Back then, I used to look for Rock stuff from Japan. MasterMind was a small business in 2010, and does sell worldwide, but the shipping and handling was expensive. I remembered wanting a oversized kimono like Hoodie with the logo or a hakama pants (Naruto inspired me, don't ask) Anyways, glad to see MasterMind still manage to be a thing and collaborating with a well known brand like Dickies.
You'll be happy know Mastermind has been kicking well for a while now. They even do frequent collabs with Western brands. If anything Mastermind's collabs are frequently cheaper than Mastermind Japan mainline.

North Face Japan is absolutely wonderful
great video. I would say reebok too. Americana through a different lens is always so cool to me.
also nautica, tommy hilfiger, and all those americana brands!

God bless this woman! Her *yutulu* bag is amazing
Goldwing, Do they do international shipping? Can I purchase from them from London?

I love *yutulu*, yes, that’s what I’m here for 😍😍😍
To add to the list, Red Wing Shoes and Rocky Mountain Featherbed (technically a Japanese owned brand now)
I love these kind of videos! Would you consider doing a military inspired episode?
Gonna be in japan for new years this year and you bet you bottom yen I’m gonna be back in Shibuya at PARCO looking for some of these.

Great video just found your channel
Amaze balls coverage for mere mortals
could you do a video about sashiko?

Cabourn JApan is a totally different World than the UK website.
The JApan version offers different clothes, most made in JApan.
I didn't see champion and dickies being up first. I think champion has lost a bit of fire in the USA, while dickies is like levi's.
Red Wing, Danner, Schott NYC and Nigel Cabourn are also better in Japan.

Daisuke Obana x United Arrows. Check it out
@@THECASUALco Putting those on a future itinerary, thanks!
I saw in the Throwing fits podcast that Paul smith is apparently crazy popular in Japan
Dumb popular. Has 2 locations in Omotesando alone.
Has his own Japan only denim line too called Red Ear.
Kay-born
Let’s just say, everything is better in Japan
Some more American Brands like..Lee. Wrangler. Ben Davis. Universal Overalls.. are very popular & superior in build quality.
Damn the Nigel pseudo-Gorka and Telnyashka look great.

Sizing is a problem for fat westerns
Columbia Black Label
where is the jacket on the right from @4:36 in the video
That’s why I was so surprised that those brands were so ugly when I first came to the U.S. 20 years ago😂
I need someone to touch on Jam's World. Bc the aftermarket price has gone up. And to me, for NO FCKN REASON other than being vintage, soft n comfy. I'm hatin on anyone charging 50 plus for a button down. FU. 🤨
Oh shit that scrt society tee
Actually that’s a bit different than scrt society BUT I can see how that conclusion was made.
Lee is operated by Edwin.
❤
Japanese brands are a lot better than western brands.Wtaps, nanamica, daiwa pier39,goldwin,beams,cav empt, neighborhood

Japan, can't come up with their own shit. New York City style is the forerunner of fashion. Stop pushing something that doesn't exist.
