Ah my coworker listened to me watching a Morrowind vid and she goes he sounds too monotone to seem like hes enjoying the lore. Told her if anything else beside that kinda tone is used to try and explain elder scrolls lore you end up sounding like a raving madman
i dont think he is monotone, but i feel like its hard to narrate his footage with much more emotion without sounding weird. he has just enough emotion without sounding "fake" if you know what i mean.
Yeah I love it too, it's not exactly emotionless when he drops all kinds of thought provoking references or musings. IMO, you get more enjoyment out of him if you're lore savvy than not because he can be really subtle.
The most interesting thing about corpus is that there are no pure corpus type ones. Only dunmer/corpus, breton/corpus, nord/corpus, and so on. And since drewer are already incredibly rare, catching a dwemer/corpus is hard enough, it deserves to be his big one.
There's a guaranteed Golden Saint in Bal Ur, north of Suran. Its the place for the vampirism cure quest. You didn't have to cross the Ghostgate. But I DO appreciate the commitment.
Caius: "I'm not ready for you yet." Caius after Red spent however long spamming low cost spells while jumping on his bed before taking a one hour nap: "Alright fine go for Talos sake just get out so I can smoke moon sugar without your tweaking out in the corner giving me a bad trip."
The soundbite of Azura yelling "Neravar!" every time you go collect the ring is probably still my favorite running gag, but I'd be lying if I said I didn't laugh out loud every time you spiral into the Urshilaku explaination in these vids. Cheers, JBN!
I once did a run with a 100% levitation, 100% chameleon, level 100 archery. It was wild raining arrows down on anyone and everyone with them having no idea where they were coming from. Perhaps it took any challenge out, but it was not easy to get those items and levels.
I appreciate how you explain tasks and lore as if its the first time the viewer is watching your channel. Its good! I've heard you explain these quests so many ways by now but its great :)
Tip: if you want to get Pemenie to attack you after she starts following you, go to Caldera and ask about her and a few people will bring up the topic of her bounty. Afterwards ask her about it several times and she'll attack you
For real Bub and Tarman were the most terrifying zombies in their movies. They could talk and had problem solving intelligence. Seeing them fight together would be terrifying, them as bonewalkers is brilliant
Return of the Living Dead is the scariest zombie movie ever made, in spite of the fact that it's technically a parody. The idea of zombies still being conscious and only eating brains because it helps ease the pain of rotting is horrific. And literally _nothing_ can kill them.
This is actually how I beat plenty of content in Skyrim. I roleplayed as a mage and the only armor I wore were ebony gloves and a dragon mask. That meant - any foresworn could end me with a couple of arrows from far away, plus other dangers. So I adopted a play style - invisibility and summon two dremoras that would start wreaking havoc. After they were done I would finish survivors (if any) with dagger sneak attacks. Awesome vid as always, love your channel. Got me to play Morrowind again!
Man... I've really grown to enjoy your sense of humor. Just now I looked through your videos and noticed I've watched... every. single. Morrowind video. I've also appreciated the growth in presentation skills and improved level of comfort you've displayed over the last several months. RIght now you occupy the "guy who does Morrowind 'challenges' portion of my mind. However, I'd really like to see you expand your horizons to other games or formats. Not that I dislike your current videos or anything. Just that I'd hate to see you become "that guy known for that one thing that the algorithm suddenly forgot about". I think you've grown a lot and have become very capable, so I'd really like to see where you can go from here. Cheers man! Hope you have a good weekend and father's day =)
God your bit about the title being rhetorical is good. I've found myself saying "of course" to titles like that before and I have to stop myself and think about how it's for the algorithm, not me
I don't know how you find the discipline to stick to a plan and make a coherent themed run. Every single time I tried to play Morrowind I'd revert back to trying to do everything and feel overwhelmed. I wish I had the discipline not to wonder around like a maniac and constantly get distracted. I like your Morrowind content a lot.
Funfact, fairly certain Tarhiel is 'tar-heel' The devs added in two reference ragging on the 'Carolina Tar Heels' team, him, and the eltonbrand easter egg.
Legit, never would have realized how much I’d enjoy watching Morrowind played so many ways. Subbed. Loving your content and in general the narration of your vids man.
One of my first mage playthroughs of morrowind was using conjuration to one spell summon a full set of armor and weapon. I was young and didnt think to make a training spell so it was an absolute ballache to try and cast but i just found it so cool to do one quick cast and be armored up lol
Savior's Hide on a Breton is simply overpowered. Complete permanent immunity to all magic except elemental damage. On top of that it's the strongest piece of light armor.
Too bad very few spell effects even matter outside of elemental nukes, lol. Paralysis maybe, and that gets countered 9 times out of 10 by sufficiently high willpower anyway. 100% elemental resist Nord chad > 110% magic resist Breton soyboy (Ok you'll still receive a bunch of damage from poison, absorb and damage health but that's only relevant with Daedroths, Ascended Sleepers and maybe seven other unique enemies in the entire game)
One of your videos was recommended to me a couple weeks ago and I've now been going through your whole channel 😊 I love your approach to these challenge runs, they feel very relaxed, and you're very funny! Looking forward to finishing this one, and anything you upload in the future.
Holy cow! I'm so glad I discovered another amazing Morrowind channel I've been watching for about a month now and I have to say I love your content! Keep up the great work!
Been a recent fan watching your videos while I'm enroute to my sites during graveyard shift. Glad I could catch a fresh one! I love your videos and commentary
If you make a spell with a temporary effect like Fortify or Summon, and add a Soul Trap on Self effect, it becomes permanent and repeatable. It might also work with Levitate but not being able to dispel it might not be worth it.
Found this channel a few days ago. I've been feeling down for some time, and I was just looking for stuff to "past the time." But then I found your channel name intriguing. I find that your "style" just fits exactly what I want. It's not over the top, it's not "fake hype", fake laughter etc., You're really a godsend bro. I hope you upload more morrowind / oblivion videos. I tried getting into Morrowind but I just couldn't, and your videos really highlight the best part of morrowind. Cheers man.
Seeing how you deal with a heart in every run was a cherry on top. I kept wondering how summons can do this throughout the whole video. And in the end they just didn't 😢
Started playing Morrowind about a month ago, found your vids and watched them all. Not only is your stuff very entertaining and funny, but kinda educational as well for someone who jumps right into the game and has no idea wtf theyre doing. Also noticed how you leveled up your editing in this vid man, youre going⬆
You can actually regen magicka with Atronach if you make a spell/enchantment that lowers your intelligence/increases magicka, and when it wears off it will reset your magicka to the new ratio. Obviously falls into glitch category, but if you made it weaker with an enchantment that runs out it could be fairly respectable. Also! A fun early-game money making thing you could try is to rob the Redoran vaults, there’s a key to the lower vaults in Dralor Manor, which is in Redoran Plaza.
I’ve tried to play Morrowind multiple times and could never get into it. Now I’ve watched your videos and I understand it better and am trying to play it again. So far I’m really enjoying my h2h monk mage.
This is literally how I play every elder scrolls love summoning a endless hord to destroy my enemies in every game I pretty much play Pokemon catching every summoning spell, never summoned in Morrowind unfortunately but oblivion and Skyrim were hilarious doing only summoning challenge great video.
Love the video! Amazing all the details you know about the game. Summons in Oblivion are also broken and you can avoid entering the fight been invisible all the time.
You know watching your videos on Morrowind really shows how much you can break the games economy and buy anything/everything that you want almost, so I'd be curious to see a Morrowind challenge where you don't spend gold (or at least limit yourself to only having a small amount idk?).
Hey man, I know you probably won't see this. But I'd like to say that I have severe depression and anxiety but whenever I see you have a new upload, it makes me happy and I just chill and geekout with you. You do make a difference in some people's lives, keep doing good!
16:55 - IIRC I farmed Golden Saint souls after building the Telvanni Stronghold by casting soul trap on a summoned Golden Saint and levitating over the lava lake in the stronghold's basement; it would fall into lava and die before the soul trap effect could wear off. I think that without a Telvanni Stronghold the top of Dagoth Ur would've worked for the purpose too.
I love your Elder Scrolls lore deepcuts, and cross fandom jokes. You are so charismatic and I've spent so long watching your back catalogue. Would love to watch you do a playthrough of the Elder Kings mod for CK3
When i was younger there was a small glitch you could do with custom spells. Cast soul trap and summon a creature for a really short period of time. Something about Bethesda spaghetti code causes it to constantly remain spawned without ever disappearing so you have a constant companion. Broke the game in more ways than one, namely body blocking with 50 skeletons at the entrance to any building - fun times.
