Hey guys, I'm back for another unboxing -- this time it is the Limited Edition Hatsune Miku Playstation Vita console and game bundle! Check out 'dat back touch!
The console cost about 35,000 yen (WiFi model) and was reserved-out very quickly (less than 24 hours) when it was announced months back. Luckily, I was able to snag one of the last reservations at my local Sofmap, and picked the console up this morning!

I bought the PS Vita w/ the Assasin Creed Liberty Bundle and it doesn't come with the game case. I felt cheated and was disappointed.
It's a collector's item that's no longer in production, so there's pretty much no way you're going to be able to find it at retail price anymore. Get ready to shell out at least $900 if you really want this baby.

Glad to be seeing vita videos from you again! I never heard of this special edition until now, and I was pretty surprised to see system's rear touch pad wasn't the plain old sony face button design. It makes me wonder if there will be more limited edition systems like this in the future.

i don't know a whole lot about Hatsune Miku but this is a pretty cool looking vita
Just because he bought two vita's doesn't make a person rich. It can just mean that they know how to manage their money. This Miku Vita was announced months ago giving people time to save up money for when it releases. My fiancee has multiple Xbox 360 special editions by doing the same thing.
Hehe~ I love when people delicately pull out handhelds from their protective packaging, I mean you're gonna have your hands wrapped around it anyways~

The demo is out on the Japanese playstation store, but the Vita update made it to where if you're using your American account or whatever account that your memory card is linked too, you can't go to another account and download demos anymore:(
how are you gonna enjoy playing the system without worrying about breaking anything, i def could not do that if i owned one of these but very nice system, i have the white one from ac 3 bundle
OMG Kyle I really like you and all but I feel a serious envy of you having this, I'm a big Miku fan and if the game doesn't localized in America I'll definitely import it, never the less thank you for the video.
It probably wont, but as said in the video PSVita and PSP games have no region protection, the game will still be in japanese but it will play just fine on any system from any region.
Where can i have this pack, please? This is so amazing... Mikuuu *-* ( I'm french, well sorry for my bad english x) )

There have been rumors that Sega might release an English patch for the game, although they're thinking about doing it or not so there might be a possibility of third-party patches...

If they did these limited editions in other country's they would get soo many more sales. I mean the Vita has just about 3 million sales, where as the 3DS has over 20 million sales, not the mention Sony doesn't even have a white version in Europe.

It didn't. You can't get this particular bundle in the states; he got this in japan.
When you boot the system for the first time one of the first questions it will ask you is what language you want to use.
There were framed art pieces and I think there were some signed pictures as well. Too bad I didn't win!
The lottery was only on release day for a few hours in Osaka and Tokyo. No more :(
just hate how SEGA put this game at E3 2012 and then say "nope we ain't localizing this. oh what? you want this and Valkyria Chronicles 3? though shit!"

I'm worried too cause my Persona 4 one got scratched up pretty easily... not putting it on yet :x
I've never played a project diva game before but after looking up some gameplay it looks so much fun and the music is so darn catchy i may just have to import this game. :) hopefully some one will have gone to the trouble of shipping already so it won't take as long to get to me here in the UK
Actually the limited edition game case is different from the normal version game case.
I just seen a new one go for $850 free shipping off ebay. The two people I see on ebay saling it for over $1000 are saling it slightly overpriced at the moment, I would say. They are going to be the last two saling theirs on ebay, because they are plenty of ones that are under $1000. You can still get one for $900....Or a just a little less if you're patient enought to wait for people to list it at lower prices instead of presing "buy now" and buying the most expensive ones.

damn thats pretty cool, ill probably import that game, as much as id love to have a white vita im content with my black one so ill just get a standard version of Project Diva f, still got a lot of Vita games on my hit list, this one, P4G, Zero Escape Virtue's Last Reward, Ragnarok Odyssey, and Fate/Stay Night Realta Nua.
The back of the Limited Edition of the PSVita has a section of Miku.
Actually the cover that comes with the limited edition is different from the retail version

your best bet is to search ebay , there are a few floating around there , however they are extremely expensive.

I sold my release date black one on Amazon.com to be able to purchase this one... and yes, it was a very expensive purchase---but I will pick it up from a Fedex location today with hopes that it is totally worth it :)

Man Kyle must have a hefty income. Been following since the release of the vita in japan and seeing you buy all these games and handhelds is mindblowing. You got like 3 vitas now i guess ( 2 yourself and 1 for your wife if i recall ) and 2 3DS's (sp?).
I know nothing about the japanese economy but I do know that electronics are rather expensive there when compared to europe.

Yeah. The psvita is region free, so import it from playasia(dot)com and download an english patch if you don't know japanese.

I hate that white bar (love the white color of the vita) across the back... couldn't they have just put that on the bottom like the psp? BTW, it is part of the vita its not a stick that can be taken off right?

at the back?? its permanently .. you cant remove it .. but Rear stickers you can stick into your PSV :D

That's nothing, this game is going as high as 799 on Playasia for the 3G model. And I've seen one on eBay going even higher, like over 1000 dollars high. It's crazy. I wouldn't spend more than about $400 for this, so that's why i just got the regular edition. XD
Im highly considering ordering one of the special edition models for my birthday, but i have an interesting question. It being a Japanese unit will it only be able to connect and download purchases off of the Japanese play-station store? Also can you get older Project Diva games for the PSP's as digital downloads for the Vita?

I have a couple of questions myself regarding the system as I cannot open mine till Christmas.
One of the things I am curious about is you mentioned that you have front and back screen protectors for the system. What brand did you use for them? I want to be careful about the type I get. I heard that hori does the full faceplate of the system for protection, which could overlap with this Vita's special faceplate. I also hate Sony's brand system protector. Its rough and gets dirty easily.
probally get this for christmas this year if not a regular white vita just bought a black vita and a red 3ds and a few games so im broke now but ill just buy the black miku hatsune skin for now

i bought the game and accessory set seperately, bcus the vita was out of stock. now its restocked and i already ordered....T.T i feel like killing myself. ps. huge fan of miku here, owns quite a huge only-miku collection. you dont know hw much i envy you... -.-
I got one on eBay for $457 dollars including tax but it's used and doesn't come the box or micro sd card and game. Who knows you might find one just like me and win it ;)
