This is a pretty cool place, I always liked the ghouls, They're usually kind of the sarcastic pessimist jerks with a sense of humor and good hearth (most of the time).
“There’s a whole city of ghouls in the capital.” Me: and the big deal about it is what exactly. Sounds nice to me. XD Nice choice of mister gutsy name for underworld Cerberus.
I love how this is the opposite of a speed run- nope, we're going to take our time, see the sights, talk to people, and explore everything. It's like what a dungeon master wishes the other D&D players would do.
It's hard to explain how impressive Fallout as a franchise is. I've only been playing it for a few months but no game has ever captured my imagination the way Fallout has. Sure Pokemon has, in a purely childish, happy way. But not a realistic way. It's beautiful, touching, scary. Not necessarily outwardly scary but scary in a way an adult would find scary. Those mind twisters that make you appreciate your life. Your mum, your dad. No game has ever made me appreciate my son the way Fallout has. No I didn't need a game to appreciate life, but I also don't need mustard on my hotdogs. Fallout = the condiments of life
@@MisterJohnDoe I love going through the Fallout games and finding out lore I never knew about. The Fallout universe is such an immersive world it's easily of my favourite video game franchises.
Only other games that have immersed me to the level fallout 3/NV did were Skyrim and World of Warcraft. The passion that went into making the fallout world, characters, scenery, etc... its beyond noticeable. 2:59 like look at the posters on the wall, individually made and awesome. in fallout 4 I remember in the chinese sub, there were caution signs everywhere in english. a chinese sub wouldnt have a sign that said "danger! wet floor!" in english. that bothered me way more than it should have I guess because that never would have gotten past the fallout 3 guys.
Who else is really bothered by the fact that he keeps pronouncing Cerberus as "cerebus"? 29:40 Jason Bright is another example of a non-feral glowing one.
@@UpperDarbyDetailing the character says his own name and it’s correct. No disrespect at all to Oxhorn but he does mispronounce a lot of things and it tickles me every damn time. 😂
i always hated how they treated ghouls in fallout, like why would they start talking and acting like they werent human? they clearly dont lose their memories, they dont really change a whole lot aside from the skin and radiation tolerance, so im really, really confused as to why THEY THEMSELVES see themselves as something other than human, particularly next to such beasts as super mutants and fucking centaurs.
I was confused as to why they differentiate themselves from humans as well, but as for other wastelanders, most ghouls are probably feral.. So I'm sure that average wastelander would just suppose that a regular ghoul was no different. Plus it's really easy to dehumanize something that doesn't look remotely human
Well Roy Philips, Betsy Lynn and Michael masters (though not as bad) deserve the title of mindless zombie maggots even if you let them in ten penny tower they kill everyone including dashwood I usually don't have anything against ghouls but if you let them in the tower it's so boring, even when you talk to Roy after handing him a fucking tower to himself he still hates you to an extent. The three ghouls I mentioned are the only named residents of the tower once the ghouls take over, the tower becomes boring to walk around no security no more unique dialogue and no more sharing a balcony with tenpenny himself watching him snipe "whatever he wants"
Think about it, not any of your kind has died of old age, yet you look like a corpse and other human treats you like a monster, would you think of yourself as human ?
Also there are super mutants who are competent like Fawks, uncle joe? (I think) and those in New Vegas. Jacobstown. Theysee themselves as not human to eventhough they're just highly irradiated humans too.
I've been looking forward to this video. Underworld is my favorite settlement in Fallout 3. I've always had a bit of a soft spot for non-feral ghouls. And despite everyone saying how nobody likes smoothskins down there I found most of them to be pretty friendly. Tulip and Carol in particular are a couple of sweet hearts. I always figure my Lone Wanderer struck up a friendship with Tulip and visits her whenever I go through the Mall. Since she's one of the better vendors in the game I go by often to unload junk and extra weapons. She always sounds so happy to have visitors and sad when she says goodbye.
So much enthusiasm lol but yes D.C is great. Did you go to Arlington national cemetery?? Its amazing and to see the guards switch is another once in a lifetime view. The Vietnam war memorial was also a great sight. All the names really makes you realize war is pointless when that many men are bring wasted
The robots in the Fallout series don’t exactly make much sense. I suppose some robots can become self aware depending on the things they go through in the past 200 years.
If you have the Robotics Expert perk, when you talk with Cerberus you have the option to deactivate his safety parameters and he'll start shooting at the ghouls.

I don't even play these games but I LOVE your videos and I would be ecstatic if you would tackle The Pitt in Fallout 3. As a Pittsburgh native I love that we were included into the Fallout canon.
Through your videos I've learned to love the Fallout series. I've never played it, it's not really my aesthetic, but I love how much effort the game creators have put into linking them together and to the consistent lore behind them and just how many details and references they put in the games.
I too noticed the dialogue between Nova and Gab during my play-through. It didn't sound like they became romantic. Sounded more like she felt incredibly sorry for him, and thus humored his romantic advances. After all, what else does the poor guy have to look forward to on a daily basis. Perhaps even deep down, he knows nothing will come of it. But a bit of harmless pretend never hurt anyone.
I'm not a Fallout fan at all but I've seen a lot of your videos and love them so much. I can feel how you are focused and passionate about something you love and it really inspires me. Thank you mister!
Hey Oxhorn, I'm not sure if you noticed or not but when watching your video I noticed that Nova in Megaton and Carol from Underworld have the same gear/cog looking necklace. I'm not sure if it's a common piece of jewelry in the wasteland or if it was maybe to show the connection to Gob and Carol, with Gob giving it to Nova as a sign of his affection towards her. Thought it would be an interesting little piece put in by the devs on that. Appreciate all the hard work that you do
I wish they'd have added a quest to bring mutilated body parts to Doctor Barrows. It'd been nice to be a part of the solution. -sigh- though it'd be cool seeing him in a future Fallout game where you get to help him with the last bits of his research to actually produce a cure for ghoulification. Or at least something that'd keep them from going feral.
Really enjoy these videos. It's nice to get reminders of old story lines. I especially like getting to see content I missed in my playthroughs, like the DLC for New Vegas.
That Mr.Gusty is my favorite character of the entire underworld ngl. if you have robotics expert perk you can actually disable it's combat inhibitor and he'll shout some anti ghoul dialog at you, funny as hell, but for he allways got killed right after xD

Mastodons had a stockier build, while mammoths had that high head-thing and were larger 😊 of course I could be misstaken, but the head makes me fairly certain 😜 ok. Nitpicking over! Thanks for the video! I'm really enjoying them! You have a very engaging voice 😁
At least if you kill Moriarty, Gob takes over the saloon and paints his name over the sign! Just make sure you dip out for 3 days or so to let the heat die down, haha.
Ghouls in FO3 look way cooler and gnarlier than in FO4, imo. They moreso evoke rotting and peeling flesh, whereas in FO4 they look more like they melted.
Aw when you talked to Carol about her son, I almost teared up. The voice actress did a good job in impersonating how a worried mother would sound. Also I think that Gob and Nova are actually in love with each other but are too afraid to initiate anything due to their differences. Or if they are lovers, they try to keep it secret to keep it from Moriarty who would probably end them if he found out; hence why Nova said that she wouldn't date him. Either way, I think they would make a good couple.

ALWAYS love your videos, they're the highlight of my day :) I played Fallout 3 years ago, when it first came out. At the time I was influenced by my nephews play style and that's 'complete the game as fast as you can and miss everything' lol I've since moved on to actually exploring everything I possibly can and I'm enjoying the games more now. I missed alot of the cool stuff in Fallout 3, so this is mostly new to me. Thank you for helping me to enjoy my gaming more, you really are my gaming GOD! Looking forward to more videos, you're awesome!
I love all of your fallout videos! Could you please make a character profile for arcade Gannon? I feel like he'd make a great one with his enclave history.
I can't get Fallout 3 to work at all on windows 10 no matter what trick I try. *sigh* So it's been really nice to watch these videos. I love that game and I've been really hurting to play it recently. I needed to get my fix somewhere so thanks for the good work you put into these. Always a pleasure to watch 'em.
There was also Daniel Bright in NV who was a sentient Glowing One. I think it's just a very rare case for them to be non-feral so the doctor didn't know it was possible.
Would love to see you do a "FROST" play through, If you haven't heard of FROST it's a fallout 4 mod that is placed right after the bombs fell so there isn't any mutants, synths, BoS or Railroad. It's really hard. But it is fun to play.
I guess we never learned how to make our own oils in this universe/timeline I mean we can make diesel fuel from corn and wheat now and Gasoline as well. Plus with the right refinement Coal which is in greater abundance than Oil can be made into crude and then fixed up into all the oils we need. While Natural oil takes millions of years to make from grass and other plant life decaying under pressure we still have sources of oil we can tap and use reuse and create from.
OxHorn, love the videos mate, keep up the good work. Just wondering if u could do a lore video on the Glow in Fallout 1. I recently went there in my playthrough and i thought it would be interesting if u told us about the lore behind the Glow and the FEV and West-Tek.
Re: non-feral glowing one:: There's also Jason Bright from the REPCONN Test Site in Fallout NV. He's a glowing one who's sentient, although the argument could be made that he's "visions" from his "creator" are the same ailment, albeit less intense, as that which effects feral glowing ones.
Oh waiting for the replicated man now, it's a fun quest for sure but it also interesting to see the design changes when actually creating the Institute.
if the lack of oxygen is making ghouls rot then its easy to fix they to just have to increase the amount of oxygen inside the blood in some way or form...

Kurt Dunsmore I KNOW RIGHT I WANTED TO TOO!?!?!?!
That's the proper pronunciation of the word in the native Greek. Similarly with Charon (Care-on and Shar-on) or Caesar (Seezer and Kaisar)
Will Brown there's no way it's pronounced "Sarah bruss" in any language, native or not. Lol.

The real comedy starts at 12:00.
I love all of your fallout videos! Could you please make a character profile for arcade Gannon? I feel like he'd make a great one with his enclave history.
agreed.
you're an amazing story teller bro
I can't get Fallout 3 to work at all on windows 10 no matter what trick I try. *sigh*
So it's been really nice to watch these videos. I love that game and I've been really hurting to play it recently.
I needed to get my fix somewhere so thanks for the good work you put into these. Always a pleasure to watch 'em.
Oh damn. When I played I always skipped over engaging with Cerberus. His dialogue 😂😂😂 Too hilarious!
He should do a separate channel for reading books whith his amazing voice.
Yo forgot about Bright and his followers, he is glowing
*deadpan voice* "Help. Somebody help me."
Did you know that you can scroll through the store tabs using your mouse wheel? You just move your cursor over the catagory and spin!
I'd love to see a couple videos on point lookout and the pitt.
Can't wait for old world blues do it as soon as you can I'd love it it seems so wacky AND interesting but mainly wacky
Super excited for your video about the replicated man because I've never played Fallout 3 and really enjoy the Fallout 4 foreshadowing
OxHorn, love the videos mate, keep up the good work. Just wondering if u could do a lore video on the Glow in Fallout 1. I recently went there in my playthrough and i thought it would be interesting if u told us about the lore behind the Glow and the FEV and West-Tek.
-Sees new Oxhorn Video
-Is Fallout 3
Well, guess I'll check back tomorrow.
It was always an interesting run to go from Megaton to Rivet City to The Museum as a lv 5. Had to get that mighty Repeater early.
I still got PTSD about the number of feral ghouls ob the metro system
Hey Oxhorn, you forgot to see what Carol would say if you blew up megaton or killed gob
Re: non-feral glowing one::
There's also Jason Bright from the REPCONN Test Site in Fallout NV. He's a glowing one who's sentient, although the argument could be made that he's "visions" from his "creator" are the same ailment, albeit less intense, as that which effects feral glowing ones.
thanks ox long lived waited for a long time for fallout 3 love it dude full support
Really looking forward to Old World Blues series and the Replicated Man videos. Also, would love to see a video on the Oasis in the future!
You can't pickpocket tulip's key, but find it on her corpse....
WHERE WAS SHE HIDING IT?!?!!?
In her ass
Oh waiting for the replicated man now, it's a fun quest for sure but it also interesting to see the design changes when actually creating the Institute.
I feel bad for that drunk ghoul
if the lack of oxygen is making ghouls rot then its easy to fix they to just have to increase the amount of oxygen inside the blood in some way or form...
Is there any possibility to make Roy (from the Tenpenny Tower quest) move to Underworld, instead of helping them to get into the Tower?
Nope.
You can: a) kill him, b) help him take over Tenpenny tower, c) leave him alone.. He's a prick anyway..
you have renewed my interest in fallout 3...I love these videos
He sounds more sleep deprived than drunk.. I don't usually get slow and sleepy when I'm drunk lol. Then again it's hard to act drunk lol
Keep up the great work love your videos if I didn't have these videos while at work I would have probably gone feral long before now.
Fun fact: you can disable Cerberus combat stopper and make him go on a rampage
theres a glitch in my game the winterized t51 power armor never breaks it always stays at 100 no need for repairs
I love the dialogue in this game.
"This room doesn't have anything interesting in it." *Opens a box with a Nuka cola in it*
in fallout New Vegas you find another glowing one by the name of Jason Bright who is able to talk and reason as well
This video makes me very sad. I really love how you can feel all their sadness.
