@dubuyajay9964 It's a reference to the anime Sonic X. In one particular scene where Dr. Eggman shows up unexpectedly, when asked how he managed to get past the security keeping evil geniuses like him out, he simply answers "I pretended I was a bar of soap and gave them all the slip." So, the quote was altered to reference Scourge's alternate mode resembling that of a bar of soap
I dunno, I like that the 86 re-coloring lets you pick one as THE Scourge. If you like the Blue One, then HE'S the leader and the other two are Sweeps. Or vice versa! It adds some nice customizationability.

Thank you, Mr. Adams. For some reason, a video dedicated to Scourge is exactly what I needed to see today. And yes, it is nice to see the least popular member of the throuple get some love. Cybertron Scourge was the Transformer that kickstarted my my collection. Love that guy. Also, I love that Thew still hasn't shifted the dragon heads down when in robot mode.

The name of the Sweeps comes from the original draft of the movie, which featured ‘Gestapo’ Decepticons hunting in a ‘sweep party’ - as in a group of people tasked with sweeping an area for targets. At some point during revisions, this was changed to the Decepticons themselves being called ‘Sweeps’.
The Studio Series (I just feel icky abbreviating it) '86 one's head is SO GOOD, it feels like it belongs on a character with so much more personality. It looks like a whole Kraven-the-Hunter-style guest character, not "faceless army"

Nobody asked but when I was coming up names for my shapeshifting vampire characters in my generic medieval fantasy comic, I saw the Combat Heroes Megatron redeco as Bludgeon on my shelf and decided that would be the unladylike moniker for the master, with her right hand assassin (retconned as basically a pirate) named for Bludgeon’s wavemate Scourge (which I had the larger version of.) The endcap of Dreamwave’s Armada comics inspired me to have two male archetypes the comic needed: Dirge the cleric who counters the Knights of the Crown’s Hartone, and the blue draconian commander Thunderwing.
Generations Scourge is the reason I started painting in the mustache and fingernails of all my follow up Scourges. Titans Returns Scourge sits on my shelf with his feet/legs turned 180 so the whites are facing forward....
There is a third set of landing gear on the generations scourge. I'm not surprised that people miss it since it's hidden away in the bottom of the neck slider, it's a big double wheel that folds out towards the back. It's a pain in the ass to move because you have to have a firm control over the other three moving parts occupying the same cubic inch, (something that gets scarier the longer your copy has been out of the box) the landing gear panel is also on a super tight hinge that might have a detent, a real joy on the fingernails.
For style points, you can also transform the wings, leaving the rest of the body intact, and fold them around his shoulders for a pseudo trench-coat-pimp-cape effect. Looks baller on mine :) 26:38
The Titans Return figure can remove the "turbine" from the middle and expose a port that his Titan Master can plug into for the flying-with-head-up mode. It is unbearably stupid.

One case where the guys who came after are way cooler than the OG. Also kinda cool how the name has been held by 2 Convoys. Black Convoy (RID01) and Flame Convoy (Cybertron).

4:43 A Landspeeder.
IN SPAAAAAAAAAAAAACE
If you don't know what a Landspeeder is, go watch Star Wars A New Hope/Episode 4/Release 1.
Actually the original concept was for it to be a boat. You can see how that works, right, they'd be land, sea and sky. At some point they decided he'd also be a spaceship, then just didn't really change anything.
@@manjackson2772 But you can't deny he looks so much like a Landspeeder.
Always love the uploads. No matter what it is or how long it takes.
One case where the guys who came after are way cooler than the OG. Also kinda cool how the name has been held by 2 Convoys. Black Convoy (RID01) and Flame Convoy (Cybertron).
