All of this is brand, BRAND new to me as well, and since leaving that relationship, learning she was a narcissist is honestly making me feel bulletproof. However, I'm gonna say this about whether to stay or leave because of the kid... mate, I honestly think that you should LEAVE. If you remember the first half of my story, my Grandparents were in a very similar situation: separated, but stayed living together for me. But my narcissistic Grandmother did everything in her power to make my Grandpa's life hell, to the point where she groomed me and turned me against him. She told me he said everything North recommended; "I'll take you to court, sue you for half of everything, you're trapped here with me, etc", and painted him as the villain. It would have been so much better for him, and by extension, me, if he would have left sooner, and perhaps tried to go for custody of me. At the end of the day, you can't take care of others if you don't take care of yourself first. Take that as one broken guy who always wants to lift others up, to another. Good on you for writing in, man! Stay strong, and have the strength to make a decision as soon as you can. Becoming financially independent is a great start. o7

Her friend than said he would babysit her kid for free so that she could go to college/work because she didn’t have money to hire a babysitter. He did this for like a year or so for free to help her. Than out of nowhere she turned around and sued him for child support claiming that he was “filling a fatherly role in the child’s life” and therefore she should be able to get child support from him. Some people are just insane

There is a lot of misdiagnoses of so and so is a narcissist, so with that said, if she is truly a narcissist the only good move is to be working towards going no-contact. You will not be able to beat a narcissist at their game. They are completely empty aside from being 100% devoted to using people and manipulating them for their own benefit. That is what makes them narcissists, and that is why normies can't compete with them. If it is when the kids move out of the house that you can bring yourself to go no-contact, then okay, but be working towards that and you still may not live to see it.
