    i use vallejo , citadel and army painter. how can you hold model raw after painting with out paint wiping off?

      That is a good point, actually. I use only vallejo and a cheap "hobby primer" from the hardware store. I think that the primer makes all the difference.
      Because it does rub off eventually if I'm being too harsh with the model, but it takes longer when it's primed. On some of the models I paint, I'll seal the paint with a matt primer now and then. You can paint over primers too (may not work with every primer, of course).
