    Yes sir! The BEST panfishing channel on UA-cam! I have never used a floating crank bait! Yes, the bike is back and the bite is on fire! That creek was beautiful and calm, perfect made for fishing! Those Rock Bass are always fun to hook into! Another great fishing video Chris! Thanks for sharing!

    The sound of the Drag is so motivating. The fish have such amazing colors this time of year. Colors at 7:30 were stunning. That’s a special creek for sure. Thanks for sharing. Rock Bass are one of my favorites 💥🥇

    that looked like a lot of fun Chris. Nothing better than just fishing from the bank and catching them one after another with no boat and gear to deal with.

    Thanks for the frugal tip on these crank baits! Wally World put those Arkie cranks on clearance this year and I loaded up based on your videos and personal experience using them. 👍👍👍

      @pistolcreek  6 місяців тому +1

      That’s awesome! The Arkie 220 is a solid lure for the price. I enjoy using them to catch crappie, rock bass, and smallmouth sometimes. These smaller 1.5” crankbaits are great for the smaller panfish like bluegill. Thank you for watching and for your continued support.

    Awesome video brother, I really love how you can showcase the beautiful colors on them fish. Always a ton of work and quality put into your videos from start to finish and I’m always excited for the next one! I really need to get me a couple of the lures I like the size and them hooks looked really sharp. At less than $2 each you can’t beat that.

    • @pistolcreek
      @pistolcreek  6 місяців тому +1

      Thank you so much! You should try those little crankbaits out sometime. I’d love to see what all you would catch with them. My go to for panfish is the Trout Magnet, but these cranks are nice for days when it’s too windy to fish a lighter lure. It’s a great addition to the tackle box, in my opinion. Appreciate your continued support!

    Howdy do Chris, I have been going back through some of your previous videos and wondering if you have done any fishing with the little bean crankbaits ? Don't know what drew me to buy some of them but have a couple dozen of them now. Still have not tried them yet.🤔

    • @pistolcreek

      They work great! Only downside to the smaller size is that they aren’t heavy enough for moderate current. But for slack water sections, they are really fun. Thank you for watching! Good luck!

    You're a braver man than me. I wouldn't dream of fishing a crankbait on 2# test line! Too many toothy fish where I fish!

    • @pistolcreek
      @pistolcreek  6 місяців тому +1

      Ha! We’re lucky that we don’t have any river monsters here in this creek. The Trout SOS is crazy tough line for such a small diameter. I really love the casting distance and sensitivity of the thinner lines. Thank you for watching!

    Hi Chris. Just wondering how things are going with your Bass Pro Pond Prowler 8, and specifically how she has held up with the trolling motor on the bow and the Honda outboard on the stern. I am getting a Bass Pro Pond Prowler 10 and plan on starting with the basic modifications which include these 2 items. Thank you.

    What is your technique? Do you cast it and wait a few seconds after the crank bait hits the water and then slowly reel it in?

    • @pistolcreek
      @pistolcreek  6 місяців тому

      Yes, sometimes. Other times I just start reeling after it hits the water. Both seem to work. Waiting can sometimes trigger strikes before you even reel. Another thing that can work well is pausing every few seconds on the reel back to let it hover for just a moment.

  • @adamstreetboyzz
    @adamstreetboyzz 6 місяців тому +1

    Crank baits never work for me. The hooks either get tangled in the line or get tangled by the other hook. I’ve seen people swear these work but I’ve had no luck no matter direct line or Snap swivel

    • @pistolcreek
      @pistolcreek  6 місяців тому

      That can definitely be frustrating! They will do that, somewhat often, but they sure catch fish if you can deal with fixing the hooks and tangles from time to time. Another possible solution that I have seen others do, is swap out one or both of the treble hooks with smaller trebles or single hooks. That can eliminate a lot of the tangles. Thank you for watching!
