    I gotta say Morgan, I'm feeling soooo much better today. Look at how even those switches and levers are! My OCD isn't gonna win today!😂😂🤣🤣😁😁

    That's my favorite grip. A little fatter than a traditional waffle and a nice soft compound

    BTW, I just put those rogue grips (same grey soft ones) on my SX-F 350 and I love them!!! Little more cushion going over rocks and stuff I feel. Plus I like that they are a touch thicker as well. Curious to hear what you think. Do you use wire on the grips? Here's what I know, I'm a few years older than you and back in the late 80's, early 90's we NEVER used wire on the grips and nobody ever had an issue with grips coming loose.

    Morgan totally agree that the Trex throttles are the bomb, I have one on my Sherco, Cody Webb and other carb guys in the hard enduro circles also run them, I have over a 120 hours on mine, just as smooth as when I installed it.

    3M weatherstrip adhesive works great for grips and is available at most any auto parts store. Maybe even Home Depot. It’s the best I’ve found, but be quick, as it sets up fast.
    I like the rouge grips. Use them on my 200 and 300. I’m a big fan!
    I only use glue on grips for one bike because of the G2 throttle tube, otherwise I use lock ons.

    I run those grips. Love them!

    I give you credit for going back to glue on grips. There are many more choices but I don't know if I can ever go away from using lock on grips......just too damn easy!

    You can hear how snappy that thing was. That red was sick. I’m going to have to get one for my GasGas.

    I like that design with the bearing.
    Been running Rogue lock on grips for a long time on MTB's, now on moto. I have big hands, so it feels like you're not just holding a broomstick.

    My hands are a bit small and I found with those grips I had more arm pump than average. Switched back to my normal grips and had less arm pump. But I absolutely loved the feel and it definitely cut down on vibration Good luck

    Also, FWIW those handguards have grown on me a bit and don't look that bad, just wish they weren't so flat. You can tell they are burley and do their job though!

    If u can't get grip glue, just use spray paint. That's what i been using for over 20 years.

    On a stock Beta throttle assembly, is the little white plastic pulley wheel suppose to rotate with the cable? Mine does not. I'm concerned the cable will cut through the plastic eventually. Might look into this setup if something is wrong with my stock unit.

    • @highlandcycles
      @highlandcycles  5 місяців тому

    Would you ever do a one-cable conversion on the TBI and run this housing on it?

  • @ste_t
    @ste_t 8 місяців тому +1

    You could’ve left that end cap on the throttle tube whilst you put the grip on to prevent glue from going inside the tube. 🤷🏻‍♂️

    • @highlandcycles
      @highlandcycles  8 місяців тому

      Yeah but then I’d have to cut it and unscrew it. Might be good. Have to try that next time

    Did your Beta come with the throttle cable routed on the left side of the frame like that? Is anyone else like that. I'm wondering if I should re-route mine.

    I've run the ODI Lock-On Rouge grips on all my dirt-bikes for the last couple years... I don't want to ride with old waffle hard grips anymore.

    Thumbs down for not being compatible with the odi lock-on grips. Very bad product design.

    • @highlandcycles
      @highlandcycles  8 місяців тому

      I agree about the compatibility but it’s not a bad design. Lots of people like the normal grips still and if you could see the design, it would be difficult to do with lockons. I hope they come out with a version that will take them.
