This is what off road riding is all about, making it fit you and work the way you want, if you want some cool bling more power to you. It's a feel good sport, so add and do what makes you happy and put a smile on your face doing it.
You’re absolutely right about that “build” thing. Mostly people that aren’t really mechanics use that word when they have put a fmf muffler and some new graphics on their bikes, and are super proud of themselves. The beta seems really nice! 👍
I don’t understand why people complain about moving around so much🤷🏼♂️ it’s nice to see the part you are talking about when you are explaining it people just like to bi*ch and moan about everything. Half of them just watch the videos for the fun most of us enjoy watching them cause the detail that you go into you explain everything very well and it’s nice to see what parts look like and how they function up close rather then you just talking about them far away on a tripod. Just do what you wanna do man it’s your channel not theirs🤙🏼🤙🏼
I like the "get in there" with the moving camera. Not much to watch without it, maybe considered boring, like a still photo and a podcast. The super popular VGG channel is really good at "get you in here" combined with tripod format. The Beta series has been awesome! Thanks for the great channel.
Have you considered a factory Beta race wire harness? I did that and an RK TEK head on my 200 RR/RE. Drops a ton of weight. I have the 2022 before KYB rear shock. The Ride Shop did a cool bladder conversion. Love all of it. Love the bike! Great Video Morgan. If you come to AZ we would love to take you out on the trails we enjoy.
I did the same, removed front and rear light and all the brake sensors and wiring. Using older KTM style start and stop light switches and 300RX front number plate.
Just bought a brand new 2024 Ktm 300 xc and it’s my first 2 stroke your channel has been a big help with understanding stuff and feeling confident working on my bike ei just bought a Spanish fly spark arrestor and haven’t even read the instructions but I feel fully confident I don’t need to thanks for the great content
45 miles and i had to pull my starter buton assembly apart. Arc carbon on the contacts and some green on the spring so it wasn't connecting so keep an eye out. I don't have the kickstarter,,,,yet...
Your Beta is absolutely awesome Morgan would love to have that thing sitting next to my CR250. Also would like to thank you for what you do with all the information and knowledge you put out you help out a lot of us. Thanks morgan keep up the awesome work🤘🤘
Cool I like your video, funky moving camera work and all. It’s real, because you’re a dude filming himself in an actual shop. If people complain about that they are missing the forest for the trees.
Thank You Morgan!! Couple of points, I too think "hard enduro" is a weird word. In the old days it was just called technical riding. Also I'm like you and shake my head at some of these toxic comments wanting to correct you. You are growing a great channel and I appreciate you being unbiased. BTW, I have a personal relationship with the man above (not sure if You Tube will demonetize you for saying what we believe in).
That is good to know. Reason I never commented on those is because I did not want to hurt your channel. I'll get on board with it from now on!! Seems like us Christians are being persecuted for everything these days. Thank you for sticking up for our beliefs.
You're right about the Tusk tires. I'm really impressed with my Tusk Talon for the nasty PNW riding I do and how long it lasts. For the price, I'm thinking it's a bargain.
one of the must haves for me is the fasstco rear brake clevis. the stock clevis has a lot of slop in it and results in a lot of play in the rear brake pedal without ever moving the piston in the master cylinder. the upgraded clevis gives a much more accurate feel of the brake. i know there are other brands that make a clevis cheaper like zeta, hammerhead, gytr, tusk but idk how different they are.
All kinds of jems in this video! "I got Tusk tires front and rear, I'm not telling you which one's...." ........4 secs later, tells us which ones! CLASSIC! Sorry dude, just having some fun!😁😁
try motul transoil expert 10w40 for the transmission oil, should fix the notchyness. its what beta used to recommend / use before they got the liquid moly sponsorship
Cool to see everything you've done in one video. Nicely done!!! Apparently, the people who complain about a little camera movement have never dealt with any adversity in their lives. I think they might hugs.😭
I don’t unfortunately. But I did it when I installed the Spanishfly spark arrestor. So I just cut about 3 inches off the outer tube and inner tube at the same time.
Morgan nice one ! Is there any merit for the 300rr that in the reality that thermostats slow down the flow of coolant to allow the heat to dissipate through the Rads like on motors where thats a fact . No issue with coolant flowing to quick on the dirtbikes once a thermostat flow restriction has been removed, for eg i heard also seen the stat guts removed and leave the housing in place for the all important for some flow rate.
The thermostat also serves the purpose of actually slowing down the flow of coolant in the radiators so the air flow has enough time to remove the heat, I've actually had cars that would over heat in the summer because they didn't have a thermostat, a friend of mine used to build custom radiators for circle track cars that would have baffles in them to make the coolant flow back and forth instead of all in one direction at once which forced the coolant to slow down so the air flow could remove the heat, a thermostat, although not as extreme, works on the same principles, it's actually more critical on a four stroke, two stroke's for the most part don't run as hot .
Hi Morgan, do you think the 3rd gen ZF forks on the RR enduro would be a better starting point for extreme enduro riding compared to the KYB on the racing model?
Not yet. I like the way it runs with this head and I want to do small changes at a time. Also, the RK heads end up needing a ton more fuel to run right which lowers the MPG which isn't always a good thing.
@@highlandcycles yes it sounds good by the ear, I still encourage you to try a little richer setting you’ll be amazed how much grunt and torque you get
Christ is King. He shines through in your videos with your positive attitude. I don't like the white graphics, but it aint my bike! If you dig it thats what matters! For anyone who know the new beta frames 2024 what is the reccomended SAG SETTINGS for racing enduro?
Kinda funny Buy a bunch of aftermarket parts that other companies did the engineering and research....you go buy and install them and thats a bike build, lol I was guilty as well, had more than a few 20k bikes😂
For a one man show you do a fantastic job.
Morgan your killing it keep up the good work….love shop videos

21 250RR w the down and back carapacks, I didn't like them at first but now I love them.
I got the kickstand extender after watching your video. Greaat addition… 2 thumbs up - 4 if you add your big toes. 👍

Beautiful Beta and set-up is perfect . I come here and soak in Morgan’s knowledge, very grateful. Keep up the good work and SLOGS💯‼️💯

Morgan !! thanks , What a Wealth of information,,
It's one badass beta!

just got a 2024 ktm 500 exc yesterday, and yet i still am jealous of your beta.

I actually got one of those. Just haven’t installed it yet
A thermostat also helps the engine get up to operating temperature faster if it’s a bit chilly outside.
Neat review, Picking a beta 300 rr next weekend. The thermostat is for euro regulations to make it road legal.

If you can please put together a link for the add on parts

Do you have a video showing how you shortened your stock exhaust ? Looking to do it to my 23 beta 300. Thanks love the vids.
I don’t unfortunately. But I did it when I installed the Spanishfly spark arrestor. So I just cut about 3 inches off the outer tube and inner tube at the same time.

That’s never caused an issue in dirt bikes that I know of. It is a thing with other stuff
True. But I’ve never had a bike over heat because of that. I have however seen lots of thermostats fail
Hi Morgan, do you think the 3rd gen ZF forks on the RR enduro would be a better starting point for extreme enduro riding compared to the KYB on the racing model?
Yes. But the shock sucks
What gearing did you go with when changing sprockets?
Ended up 12:50 for the hard stuff
I was surprised u didn't put a RK teck head on 🤔
Not yet. I like the way it runs with this head and I want to do small changes at a time. Also, the RK heads end up needing a ton more fuel to run right which lowers the MPG which isn't always a good thing.
Can I get that list of things you did to your beta 300 ?Thank you

Morgan its not a build sheet. Its a setup sheet. 😜
I know. I screwed that up 😂🤣
If i was upset over a wobbly video, i would have to quit watching UA-cam. All of my favorite things are bouncing and jumping around!

I cannot believe people actually bitch about a shaky camera! me personally, I like to see the parts of the "setup" (LMAO) up close!
Nice build parts, but you aesthetically made it look like a KTM, weird but nice build,.
Haha. I made it look like my other bike. I like matching stuff.
