The draw bar should remove from the shaft on your tractor after unbolting some nuts and bolts You should be able to install a ball hitch receiver This will prevent the trailer from lifting up The stabling stands are still a good idea
The stabilizers are designed to only be used when loading equipment and the trailer is in the lowered position. Using them when dumping causes torque / stress to the trailer in ways that the manufacturer did not design or engineer the trailer for, the stabilizers would be mounted to the frame if they were designed to be used while dumping. If you received an owner’s manual with the trailer it probably says not to do what you are doing.
Worked like a charm....I'm so happy for you. I know you're going to cringe when they drop in that first bucket of landscape rock - hopefully you'll have a loader operator with a heart!
Looks like a great successful test of the new trailer. Did I miss the memo of not having a livestream the past 2 Sundays? Just wanted to double check and make sure y’all are all good! Take care and God Bless Andrew!
Last Sunday we had family come stay with us. Sadly today I woke up with back issues and spasms. I've been in the bed all day. Sorry to cancel a second time. God bless!
@@TKCL no worries and please don’t feel bad at all. Like I said I was just wanting to check up and make sure everything was alright. We’ll definitely include you guys in our prayers for the upcoming future until we hear of a recovery. Get well soon brother!
I believe the stabilizing legs are for when you load and unload equipment using the ramps. They keep your trailer from picking up the back of your truck and in some cases when on an incline it can disengage the parking brake causing you to roll down hill. I do not think they are for when dumping the trailer. Not 100% sure because I don’t own a dump trailer. Great video btw, just found your channel and enjoy all of it so far!!
Eric you are 100% correct. The stabilizing legs are not supposed to be used except to load heavy equipment. Using them while dumping can cause them to dig into the ground and get torn off the trailer. I drove truck for over 20 years and pulled every kind of trailer you can think of, hauling every kind of material you can think of including all kinds of over size loads and hazardous materials, explosives, food, produce, dry goods, and everything in between. Those stabilizers should not be used except to load heavy equipment so they keep the trailer from lifting the tongue off the hitch or lifting your back wheels off the ground when loading the equipment. You should also never disconnect the trailer from the hitch while dumping. Very dangerous to do that.
It looks like a well balanced trailer. Far as I can tell, the front of the tractor was not lifting up. I love how high it lifts up, very impressive. Great buy. Do you have grease the wheel bearing's or are they sealed?
I’m buying a new house and I’ll finally have 2:20 in the garage and can start welding again. lol. I haven’t welded in five years. 😂 it’s gonna be nice to be out of the city, I’m only getting 2 acres but it’ll be enough for some chickens and enough room to get myself into trouble.
How do you feel about the stability of the telescoping cylinder extended up and dumping in spread mode on rough terrain?... that's the big thing I'm curious about.
Shouldn't be a problem, the cylinder is not technically supporting side to side movements, it's actually a loose fit. If your bed is rigid, it's the rear pivot points that's truly supporting side to side motion.
good video. But hope you live in a state that doesnt get much weather. I have that trailer and know 6 other people that have the same one it will rust and fall apart in two years.
Andrew, i have a similar situation with a Deere and a dump trailer, never got a good look at what you put the ball on. did you use a draw bar? if so, did you modify it so a 2 5/16" ball would fit through one of the holes?
I made my hitch, it's 3x3 inch 3/8 thick angle iron steel. I welded in a 2 inch receiver hitch into it. I have a solid hitch that can be flipped for a 2 inch or 2 5/16 ball.
Seems like there's one too many times you have to "touch"' the dirt/grass to move it. #1- Loading it, #2- Dumping it, #3- Moving it into the grass line. How do you eliminate step #3?
Correct, I managed 3 departments at a large papermill. I was ultimately responsible for the the equipment and employees throughput in all departments. It was my goal to make the process more efficient and productive by a lot of different means.
back that dump trailer back into the woods 10 feet or so. then tilt it...that way you wont have to hop on the tractor and push the dirt back into the woods
I don't understand why these dump trailers are ALL struggling to lift there weights...after researching hydraulics, it seems to me if the manufacturer spent another 4-500 dollars enhancing the lift capacity...id feel better spending 10 plus thousand dollars on a lift trailer, rather them giving you just enough to do the job to save money
I love watching other people work. 😁
Lol
Funny watching you insert the new stabilizers trying not to scratch the paint off. It’s only new once brother I feel your pain.
Lol that's exactly right 🤣
Glad you finally pulled the trigger on getting a dump trailer.
Me too!
Wow! That brand new clean bed, that stuff slides out like a egg on a whale seasoned iron skillet 😄
Exactly!
Almost 100k subscribers!!! I’m happy for y’all 👍🏻
Thank you so much
Hi, Andrew! That dump trailer is a back saver. So happy for you. You waited a long time. See you Sunday.
Huge back saver!
Awesome Andrew, she went into beast mode!
I love it!
Nothing better than having the right equipment! Great buy!
Yes I agree
awesome trailer, even better review! thx!
Glad you enjoyed. Thanks for the support!
Moving piles of dirt with the right tools is great therapy. Satisfies OCD. 😊
Yes it does, sure beats 100 trips with the bucket on the tractor.
That was fun!
First use and still looks new!
Not for long 😒
Works like a charm, very nice.
Looked like it worked perfectly, Andrew. I know you'll be using it a lot on the property!
I sure will, big projects coming.
That trailer works awesome on your property.
The draw bar should remove from the shaft on your tractor after unbolting some nuts and bolts
You should be able to install a ball hitch receiver
This will prevent the trailer from lifting up
The stabling stands are still a good idea
Fantastic trailer and the way you maintain your equipment it should last you 143 1/2 years
Lol I hope so
Very nice trailer… very nice!!!
Thank you
Great info. Looking forward to the loading vid Thank you !
Just got some goodies, I'll be making that video soon.
Nice Andrew. Sure beats a bunch of back and forth trips with the bucket
Exactly

You have a top notch trailer and your making it even better. It looks like it’s really going to come in handy. Good purchase. 👍👍❤️❤️🇨🇦
It's going to be an excellent piece of equipment.
You should paint the inside of the trailer with the same graphite slippery materials that used for lawn mowers to prevent stuff sticking.
I'm afraid rock and trees will eat right through it.
Andrew looks like the trailer did a great job with its first run ❤😊😮
It did!

It lifts great! Those are greasable bearings.

Sounds like a good start
third leg of the triangle keeping weight on the tongue so it doesn't lift off the ball
That for sure helps.

Got it!

No snow or salt in Florida, that will destroy anything. My trailer is a year old and still in excellent condition after heavy use.
Did it wash up pretty easy?
Yes it did
How do you keep thw bed floor smooth enough to dump dirt/debris out? Washing for first pass but recoating with a slide coating?
It's powder coated and new, so it's slick. After a few loads of rock it's going to be destroyed.

Looking at a iron bull what model is that. With the telescoping cylinder. I need a at least a 16ft and would like a 16K but probably will get 14K

Buy a trailer that's so top heavy and tall it dumps it without pulling forward. Those don't exist 😉
does that mean your puting a hitch on tiffanys car and useing it to haul the trailer?
Yes!
@@TKCL lol i bed she would love that! lol! make for good content

back that dump trailer back into the woods 10 feet or so. then tilt it...that way you wont have to hop on the tractor and push the dirt back into the woods

Huh? It not only lifts it's weight fine, it does it will piles of wet, heavy dirt in the front. The front mounted cylinder is the way to go.
@TKCL looked to me it was struggling to lift what's in it now. Matter of fact..the video skipped the full upswing.
Just so we are clear... Using the tractor to hook up to the dump trailer is cheating!
I cheat!
