I love to work where there are planes. We as Aviation Fanatics share the same passion whether we are pilots or Engineers or Ramps there is one thing common we all love planes and Aviation.
Lol, last year around April/May I worked this exact gate doing JetBlue, for a few months. Was TDY from Detroit. Funny seeing this gate again. Nice work.
This might sound crazy but I miss working for swissport and doing the polar/atlas/DHL transloads in Anchorage. As well as working the Frontier, Air Canada flights.
I love your music! I think this kind goes perfectly with aviation (cool music because aviation is COOL also!). I’m your new subscriber. Greetings from Mexico!
FYI just in case you did not know you should not be operating that tow tug if its not working properly if a tail lights is burnt out or a headlight it should be taken out of service until its fix. @5:54 notice how you have a burnt out headlight on the machine your driving. Many major airports have a thing that if your vehicle not working properly you dont use it but also follow same laws as you would out on public street valid drivers licenses, and faa licenses routine vehicle check, u name it. I also know for a fact that Frontier all its employes you see are contracted not airline employees from gate agents to ramp agents
Not yet unfortunately. There was talk of some carriers wanting to start service but it doesn't look like they will until next year. So as of now O'hare is basically a diversion airport for the 380.
Kenny Goetz That was a one-off test flight for Emirates, but starting May of 2018 British Airways is going to start using the A380 on their daily Chicago-London route (just for the second daily flight, the other remains a Boeing 747-400 for the first daily flight)
Gym rat Sam I just got hired as fleet service clerk for American Eagle (Envoy) at ORD. How hard is the training? I already know all of the hand/wand signals and 90% of the rest of the stuff. My dad’s been working for AA for 31 years so I know what the job entails and all that but I’m just nervous about how difficult the 4 weeks of training will be
A_aron 37. It’s really not that hard. Well not for my company.goo in with a good. Attitude. I’ve been with my company less then a year and I’m a loadmaster for HA. You will be able to move up
+MegaUSAF Great Video! I Hope you can make more videos like this! Also what happens to bags in a Layover do they go directly to the plane or do they wait at the airport and get processed before the customers next flight? Have a Great Night! -CharlieF
i really liked this video well done. i did notice when ur waving the plane in that the speed of your wands is a bit slow. they must be moved at a rate of 24 waves per 30 seconds (IAPMG section 102 subsection b). this gives the maximum visual impairment to the cockpit crew so they can accurately park.
When I used to work them yes. We would have some come in from Vegas with the front strut fully extended. None tipped but some seamed to close for comfort.
Lol did that pilot really tell you to make sure no one goes on top of the wing? Lol wow i may be a low time pilot and a ground/line guy myself but never have i seen or heard that before
Benmutd I cant tell if you are messing with him or not but they were not de icing , they do that all time to welcome planes when its a new route or something special , their way of saying welcome
kameron henderson I just looked up ramp jobs online and this one at Swissport popped up first. Sent in an application and had an interview the next day as a ramp dispatcher.
I can safely assume they did not ask for permission to film on the ramp. A lot, if not all, American ground handling companies do not allow electronic devices on the ramp. Few instances where allowed is members of management who have a need to and corporate folks for training purposes/etc.
Basically like plugging in your car so it doesn’t die in the cold except planes die not long after they shut off their apu(the power the plane provides for them) which they have to or the whole plane will die, so you plug in a gpu to keep power to the plane
Not very safe that's for sure or organized! Maybe you edited it? No walk around(arrival & departure)! Rails down when closing netting forward bin! Load planning odd sitting in ramp room and not given to crew? No signatures? Back closed up before all bags are on? Push back, surprise you didn't pop the pin???With those turns! Your wing walkers were out of place!
I love to work where there are planes. We as Aviation Fanatics share the same passion whether we are pilots or Engineers or Ramps there is one thing common we all love planes and Aviation.
I'm a ramp agent currently, its pretty fun work
Lol, last year around April/May I worked this exact gate doing JetBlue, for a few months. Was TDY from Detroit. Funny seeing this gate again. Nice work.
You did very well! indicated each signal to the pilot! Congratulations!
Used to do ground handling for Alaska Airlines back in 2013 at Seattle-Tacoma International Airport! I got a lot of enjoyment out of watching this!
Damn are you Menzies? McGee? Unifi?
I work the frontier contract out here at LAS for WFS and you did a great job
Same here haha
wow that was the best plane video ever i thought this vid was official frontier airlines but it was a million times beter

Start my job as a ramp agent for swissport tomorrow here in the UK
This might sound crazy but I miss working for swissport and doing the polar/atlas/DHL transloads in Anchorage. As well as working the Frontier, Air Canada flights.
2 years later, swissport is actually losing air canada to ATS in about a month or so lol. I currently am working for em.
Night, rainy, airport? Amazing!
Awesome video !! Never seen anything like this one. Thanks so much for sharing !
really nice video, i love to see what's happening on ground and even better from a POV view. Best Regards from Planespotter at Luxembourg Intl Airport
i was a southwest ramp agent. After blowing out three discs in my lower back, i had to quit. videos like these make me miss it every day!
How you do that?
Was it from the job?
Perhaps you’re thinking the bags move themselves.
@@kraybrother8768 I have a degenerative disc disease that i did not know about at the time.
@@kraybrother8768 It was but i was just a ticking time bomb due to degenerative disc disease that i did not know about.
That job looks so lit

Great music choice. I very much miss Chicago, but I enjoy what I do now (I drive OTR) Really awesome video!
I love your music! I think this kind goes perfectly with aviation (cool music because aviation is COOL also!). I’m your new subscriber. Greetings from Mexico!
Those flood lights are crazy!
2:45 rails going up while ramp agent already on belt loader. Approved lol
In training they say to never go up a moving one either
this is great i wixh you would post more of these vids!!
I work for Swissport in Cle and we do frontier as well! I’m a loadmaster too. This this job
love your video man. wish I join you some day
Do you still have by any chance the video without the music, just wondering. #ILoveEngineSound
yes I do. i can upload it for ya. it's just a sort of humming noise and lots of clanky bangs lol.
+MegaUSAF that would be super awesome :) I'd really appreciate it :) hope you have a fantastic day

Good video but the music so annoying. I would rather hear regular sounds like you guys talking or whatever
I agree
Oh my god yes, I concur !
They Dont Talk Near Planes. They Use Sign Language But. I Agree Though..
I swear every vlog on UA-cam uses the same fuking songs
Honestly when ever he you talked the music cut out, I enjoyed it as is. Awesome video, currently training for ramp agent.
Just make sure no ground crew go jumping on the ailerons!
I’m a ramp agent at Denver International Airport it’s cool😎
I'm ramp agent too and this job sucks mate ❤ btw from start it was so cool but 6 years its boring same shit day by day
6 years lol oh my god. And yes! Some pretty scary blizzards have seen this place
I love that song
I love this
First time Marshalling an aircraft? Cause it sure looked like it.
Ah you’re swissport that explains it.
That's why they dont have any frontier contracts anymore across the whole frontier network
I hope you had a craft explore than 1 million pieces in two minutes in the craft Hollywood
WOW THAT JOB IS AMAZING!!!!1
i love planes there soo cool
Love it so much
Wasn't crazy about working for Swissport (Delta) because of no flight benefits. But it seems like all ramp is becoming contract these days.
It is. Even frontier is contracted out
Not by swiss port anymore
it's subbed out to worldwide flight services (WFS) here in LAS
FYI just in case you did not know you should not be operating that tow tug if its not working properly if a tail lights is burnt out or a headlight it should be taken out of service until its fix. @5:54 notice how you have a burnt out headlight on the machine your driving. Is that Emirates A-380 regular service now? If it is I really have to get over there and see it.
Not yet unfortunately. There was talk of some carriers wanting to start service but it doesn't look like they will until next year. So as of now O'hare is basically a diversion airport for the 380.

I love the music faded!!!
O'hare is too damn cold i did it for few years @ IAD still wasn't easy in winter
couldn't agree more. The winters are brutal. that's why I took the job in the T5 tower. out of the weather thankfully .
Should do more of these
I would, but I am a pilot flying Caravans around Hawaii now
So you are a pilot if you are all the buttons must get on your nurves
When you started was it hard or is it easy to get the hang of things pretty quickly?
A_aron 37 any job you do will be hard. But once u get the hang of bringing planes in. And pushing them out. It is blast. And it’s an Amazing feeling

dam i miss workin on the ramp honestly!
I know some of you don't want the music so I have the same video without it. Enjoy!. ua-cam.com/video/j9UvC59K6F4/v-deo.html
Good job
How would I go about getting a job doing exactly what I just saw? I live near LAX!!!
honestly, just look up online for a ramp job at LAX I'm sure you can find one pretty quickly
What was the point of hosing the planes down?
Gelathius it’s a salute, to recognize the start of service into a new airport
@@kylejonas3875 ok thanks!

Do you still work as a ramp agent.
3:10. There’s a hockey bag.

so that makes you the ramp worker police then...?
What we need to do to be a ramp man?
The music choice is amazing.
I am going there soon
O’hare air
I am going to be a pilot when I grow up☺☺
Nice music
Is the job hard
#Swissport! #MSP Ramp-agent
When I used to work them yes. We would have some come in from Vegas with the front strut fully extended. None tipped but some seamed to close for comfort.
MegaUSAF I see that alot with 737s and 738s
Lol did that pilot really tell you to make sure no one goes on top of the wing? Lol wow i may be a low time pilot and a ground/line guy myself but never have i seen or heard that before
LT81baller lol. Me either that's why I was so surprised/confused.
ya that was an odd request
What is that pipe used for? @ 1:56?
That's the cable for ground power, so they can shut down the engines and APU.
BasedShark thanks
So you are allowed to film as a ground crew member? Because I was wondering.
i took the approach of better to ask forgivness than permission. I also left the company shortly after.
@@MegaUSAF So you can't film
Geminijets 11 im pretty sure nobody would mine to much, but im not 100% sure . Probably depends on the company as well
@@MegaUSAF ok :)
That would suck if the power went out
Best job vor ewer
why where they spraying the plane with whater
Scales_of_Fury de icing
Benmutd I cant tell if you are messing with him or not but they were not de icing , they do that all time to welcome planes when its a new route or something special , their way of saying welcome
Definitely not deicing the plane. They use glycol for that and it's green
SEEMS COOL
How do you apply to be a ground crew person
kameron henderson I just looked up ramp jobs online and this one at Swissport popped up first. Sent in an application and had an interview the next day as a ramp dispatcher.
what was the training like
No offence but the music ruined it airplanes and the tow trucks have their own music
ClearSkyAviation none taken. Thats why i uploaded the same video with no music.
Thanks it really makes the video better I want this job when I get the proper training
cool
keep it up
I flew on that some plane
Did you have to get some sort of permission to do this?
I can safely assume they did not ask for permission to film on the ramp. A lot, if not all, American ground handling companies do not allow electronic devices on the ramp. Few instances where allowed is members of management who have a need to and corporate folks for training purposes/etc.
you work at international now?
PilotA380 international ramp controller now
MegaUSAF do you see frontiers every day
yeah i see one or two a day now. mainly all international carriers and UA,AA
Is ramp agent a well paying job
No.

Stop that music and Show us the Real Sound there 🤙🏽
Ure the ramp agent right?
La maldita musica de youtube
The music killed this video. Too loud
wow
Post more videos.
It is apu inop
What is that for? 1:56 🔌
Thats the plug for the ground power. That way the planes apu doesn’t need to run the whole time.
Basically like plugging in your car so it doesn’t die in the cold except planes die not long after they shut off their apu(the power the plane provides for them) which they have to or the whole plane will die, so you plug in a gpu to keep power to the plane

Jon B when you approach the plane why don't you have to wait for the beacon light to turn off?
I’m gonna be there Wednesday going to Florida
Just use the actual audio from the ramp would be a lot better than adding the music.
KILL THE MUSIC !!!!! Natural airport sounds with you guys talking is best soundtrack.
Music toooo loud
instantly muted
Yes good video. Except for the annoying music. I’d rather hear what’s really going on and being said
how do you get in there???
