Highways in the skys... Traveling by O'Hare at night on 294 you can see the planes spaced a few miles apart as they come in... I can't remember the exact figure but I have heard something like there is a takeoff or landing at O'Hare every 30-35 seconds... and it lost it's 'busiest' airport status in the world to Atlanta a few yrs ago!!
BIG JETS never stop to THRILL me....been flying a lot since I was a child & the Love Story Continues.....the Bigger the Jets...the Better I Feel. Happy Landings & God speed the Capt & the Crew. (My Dad too was a Commercial Jet Pilot). Cheers from India!!!
Awesome!!! We ALL love flying! For me, the bigger the jet, the more awesome it is! Flying in Business Class on an A380 to and from Heathrow, on the upper deck is always a blast!!! No turbulence, whatsoever! Flying other places internationally on a Boeing 777 in Business is also an amazing way to fly!! Air travel keeps getting better and better! Just keep yourselves safe from anyone who is sneezing and coughing around you. Who cares if you wear a mask? It will remind you to always seriously wash your hands and to not touch your face so much. Live well.
Very cool to see the inboard slats retract while the engines are in reverse thrust! As soon as the reversers are stowed, the slats extend again. Awesome engineering!
The entire experience of plane-spotting is cool with the push back, taxiing to takeoff, landing, some videos have a pilot with ATC doing a fly around due to missed approach or their landing gear light came etc -
Beautiful look at engines number 1 and 2. And after landing you can see when the pilots use the reverse thrust. A Boeing 747-400 fan from The Netherlands.
I think this vid is my most all time favorite landing video!! Upon landing, you got all these awesome shots of other planes taxiing and or waiting and wingspans of other planes all a really relaxing to watch video!! Thank you for sharing it with us!!
Very nice, the little airport seen around 5:06 is Schaumburg Regional that runway is parallel to Irving Park Rd, I live just South of this point in Bloomingdale, I can see these planes from my West facing balcony lining up into O' Hare, I miss the KLM blue birds with 4 pods, the 350 or 787 they use now do not impress me, but once in a while I see the LH747-800, and the BA380, the only real Big Boy into O'Hare.....................
Great video! My childhood home was near a landing alignment. Major growth there since my earliest visits, walking upstairs outside to observation deck. After big crash at Midway, which I visited, O'Hare grew a lot.
Lived in Chicago suburbs for 8 years and flew back and forth to Europe at least once each year, including one year to Amsterdam. Know that O’Hare landing pattern really well.
Ezekiel Major it may seem that way however fuel and hydraulic fluid are also held in the wings kinda balancing it out and making the wings just as heavy
@6:40 China Eastern 747? Now that's something new for me. I've been flying for many years (between US and Asia) and oddly enough never saw one. Very cool
It's a awesome view and landing,,only thing that kinda freaks me out a little is the wings and engines bouncing around and waving up and down ,,other than that it's totallycool
I was thinking the exact same thing. With all the stress on the wings and spars, the last think i want to see as a passenger,is them all bouncing around! I know it's how they work, but it still makes feel uneasy whenever i fly
nice landing vid into ORD-u shouldve started camera over Lake Michigan earlier to get city skyline contrast-seems this approach went northwest and then approached from the west going east over Bensenville industrial park to land.the runway u landed on is a nice watch area for landings-especially for Heavies !
How about that...the single runway seen in the center of the picture at 5:09 is Schaumburg Airport. So...this KLM is headed east toward runway 10C. Also seen in the view (At the edge of the wing) briefly is the new interstate which will connect to O'Hare at the western border of the airport. Decades in the planning.
Yeah, I am in Bloomingdale facing the West towards Gary Ave. I see this bird as well as all others ( LH, AZ, BA, SR ) coming in in the afternoon. I remember when they planned the Elgin -O'Hare in the early 80's, built it in early 90's, believe it will connect to York Rd on the West edge of the airport, but no to Elgin in my lifetime.
At 3:40 that is Rt. 20 ( Lake St.) running vertical going over the Fox River in Elgin. The plane is following a pattern of flying southbound just west of the river, then turning back east above South Elgin, for an eastbound landing.
Watch the white spiral in the engine nearest to you. Listen to the throttle going up and down and watch the painted protuberance on that part of the foremost engine spin in perfect time....
Thank-you so much for another stunning video. I enjoyed it very much. I wish “UA-cam” would allow uploaded videos to keep their original resolution. I am certain that your original is sharper, crisper, and displays the minutest details, which we are not able to detect on this published version. I heard that Boeing is stopping production of the 747. How sad! I am very partial to the 4 engine giants. There is nothing more beautiful to me than looking up and seeing the huge plumes of contrails shooting from a 747 or 380 as it screams across an azure autumn sky 6 miles (9.6 km) up. Please keep up the good work. I wait with eager anticipation on your next publication.
OK all of you in-flight/plane spotting fans. Here you have it from “The Fejf” (the boss), one of the best in the business. I, myself have enjoyed many of your great comments as well as his videos. We need to keep comments pouring in so “TheFejf” keeps pumping them out for us. Let’s wear him out. Ha!!!
Never seen before such a beautiful smoother landing LIKE a fabulous lady landing on our heart.Skill of pilot be praised.
What a terrific landing, so smooth. The approach into O'Hare is one of my favorites as its coming in over the lake with a view of the Chicago skyline.
Given my dad's health status at age 90, he can no longer fly. However, your video brought back many happy memories for him. Thank you so much for uploading. Breathtakingly beautiful!
Claudia B. Thanks Claudia. Glad I could help bring back such great memories. Happy Holidays!

lovely landing - the KLM pilots are bosses. Can't believe a sunny day at O'Hare - I love the billowy clouds!
Sometimes I can see the arrivals into O'hare in the distance. I can see lines of them with their lights in the night its so cool!

I was there a few times in the '70's.... Lordy it was big back then.... That airport is massive!!! Thank for the show.
You can really appreciate from the air how green Chicago is in the summer. Thanks for posting!
Flat out beautiful! Never gets old!!

My uncle Lawrence flew for Pan Am when he was on 🌎 now he's passed on. I see the old commercials when everyone wanted to be a streardess
Love watching the engines and wing shake like they could break off at any moment.
Painted the runway !! smoothest land I ever saw !1 hats of to the pilot !!
Cloud surfing is always fun. So was the landing & taxi. Nice video thnx for video ✈🛬🥰

That was one hell of a smooth touchdown!
Wow it must be a fantastic feeling to travel in the fabulous Boeing B747-400, very good footage.
Landing into O'Hare Airport is a fantastically awesome experience!
Excelent ! Fell like a passanger . Thanks for uploading Have a good Day from Athens Greece

Very cool to see the inboard slats retract while the engines are in reverse thrust! As soon as the reversers are stowed, the slats extend again. Awesome engineering!
The tail end of the video is awesome with the plane taxiing from terminal to terminal to the presumably the international terminal for KLM -
Sheldon Scott Thanks for your comment. Some people complain about too much taxiing footage so I'm glad to hear a supportive comment.
The entire experience of plane-spotting is cool with the push back, taxiing to takeoff, landing, some videos have a pilot with ATC doing a fly around due to missed approach or their landing gear light came etc -
KLM would be terminal 5, the international terminal
and i thought he must be taxiing to midway ;)
@@Jenairaslebol27merde There is a lot of taxiing at ORD.

I love it, finally some loud and powerful thrust reversers on a 747!!!!!!

My favourite airline EVA retired their 747-400's three years ago, I miss it even more after seeing this! :O
Great video! My childhood home was near a landing alignment. Major growth there since my earliest visits, walking upstairs outside to observation deck. After big crash at Midway, which I visited, O'Hare grew a lot.
Awesome! Gives some perspective why ORD is so busy.
Pretty cool that I get to see my childhood town Itasca. The golf course toward the end of the flight is Itasca CC
I used to pass it on the way to Medinah CC as a caddy in the 60s.
Beautiful vid, I miss Chicago so much. Thanks for uploading.
Thank you for the flight! I love to fly...and this take off and landing was AWESOME! Loved both videos!
Good job !!! Hats off for the pilots, very smooth touch down. I love traveling with airplanes. Beautiful Chicago skylines!!!!!
Beautiful Blue sky and Blue sea !!!!
I loooovvveeee KLM,,, greetings from The Netherlands
Great video! I have flown this route twice. One with KLM and united.
lovely vid....also great to see all the other planes as you were coming to a halt...😊😊😊✈✈✈✈✈✈✈✈✈✈
AWESOME approach and heavy ground traffic....thumbs UP!
God Bless !! those Pilot !! Beautifull Landing...
Doesn't anyone clap anymore?? These guys are God's gift to us all as well as surgeons.
Nice job !! Thanks for posting !!
I've gotta clap the captainand the first officer they did a beautiful job
Beautiful city view, thanks for video!!
Ll
Vero nice Chicago!!!..
Love the thrust reversers!
Ahh the felling of coming home after a long flight the windy city sweet home Chicago
The countryside looks good
Great to see the Aer Lingus plane at the end. Good video.
It looks like a bright Summer day...
Hold on! Taxing to the gate without a baby crying in the background? Something's not right!
Those Dutch kids are well behaved.
LMAO!!!
Must not be Southwest.
or he killed them before landing. what? too dark? XD
One of my nightmares having a baby on board crying all the way.
I felt like I was one of the passengers. I am not very fond of flying and I kept thinking while watching, "HURRY UP AND LAND." LOL
Lived in Chicago suburbs for 8 years and flew back and forth to Europe at least once each year, including one year to Amsterdam. Know that O’Hare landing pattern really well.
Just ❤️ 😍 🤩 👌 Beautiful!!
Talk about a smooth landing.
really enjoyed watching. Thanks!
Great video! GEs sound awesome!
Tremendo!!!... para estas cosas ademas me pongo auriculares.
Beautiful video. Beautiful landing.
You are right beautiful landing indeed.
Awesome 👏🏻 video thank u for uploading
Why do these videos skip forward at different times? The fun is following the whole thing in real time. Other than that, great video.
I love the 747, I love the technology and engineering but I hate long haul flights. But thanks for the video.
nice landing yeah thats for sure !
How on earth do the wings support such heavy engines? It's amazing!
It's called "engineering".
Mathematics.
the engines are not that heavy considering their size
However, they're still heavy as crap. I too wonder how those wing can support such heavy engines.
Ezekiel Major it may seem that way however fuel and hydraulic fluid are also held in the wings kinda balancing it out and making the wings just as heavy
Well don smooth landing
See you soon my love Chicago.
Great video! Love the city skyline and the astonishing wingview =)
Love Chicago. Thanks!

I really didn't think it was Chicago (minus skyline) unless I got a freeway view at 6:12

Se nota que es algo fantástico.
Excelent landing!
A beautiful day in The Windy City

Great! Loved it!!
The pylons that hold the engine are made from titanium. Very strong stuff.
Eso se llamar cepillar en la pista en el aterrizaje. Nice landing

The economy comfort is great on them, I try and get 12A if I go on them, good views of the engines.
Flew that seat back in Feb. An excellent choice.
great view of the lake and skyline..did you have fly all the way around to land..? I noticed a larger river below?
Westbound planes often land to the east at O'hare.
Beautiful
