Fuck You
I can't say what I want to
Even if I'm not serious
I can't say what I want to
Even if I'm not serious
Fuck yourself
Fuck yourself
You piece of shit
Why don't you just go
Kill yourself?

I can't say what I want to
Even if I'm not serious
I can't say what I want to
Even if I'm just kidding, yeah
People tell me what to say
What to think and what to play

Everybody in Spotify like 'who's this new band and why they release 5 albums at once??'
thtree same with iTunes lol
I know some of the posts i have seen from people is almost like they just released all there albums for the first time on friday.Meanwhile im sitten here like i bought aenima when it came and all there other albums when they came out on cd,im pretty sure you can still buy cds rite or find other ways of downloading all the albums all the full albums have been here on utube for years lol its pretty hilarious people rely so much on spotify and iTunes its pretty sad really.Go support these bands and buy there albums in full entirety.
@super unknown so true man! Honestly tho I haven't bought a cd in years, but without question I'm buying Fear Inoculum. Gotta have it in the collection lol.
@@jd100proof6 same with me tool is definitely a band i have ALWAYS bought there albums when they came out the amount of work they put into the cd artwork etc is definitely worth it.
@@superunknown2812 Couldn't agree more! Lateralus had the coolest artwork of any album lol. But yea, there aren't many artists out now a days I like enough to buy an album but to say i'm psyched for TOOL's new album would be a huge understatement lol.
Damn, their songs were so short back in the day. Now, this entire EP would be the length of a single song from Fear Inoculum.
Hi there stranger from the internet :)
They can manage to do it but no TOOL song reaches 24 minutes(or is it 27?)
ZacKiwi disposition/reflection/triad is like 30 minutes
Tempest is tools longest song
Loved my cassette
All the Tool fans clicked the vid even though we've heard the song many times.
Guilty as charged
I Wrote All My Stories in Florida why don’t you go and f-k yourself!!!!!!!!!!!!😀 brings back memories 👍
lol, true XD
Yep. This was always my favorite song by Tool.
They troll us
New tool fan here, and I'm currently mind blown by how short this song is...
Sameee
lol... This wasn't a mainstream album. I think this or sweat was on escape from l.a. soundtrack. I was in a cover band maybe 25 years ago (lol). We were practicing Opiate (song) in my buddy's practice room. His very religious parents asked "Do you boys really believe in what you're playing?" "Jesus Christ why don't you come save my life now...." ....they for sure never listened to the bridge. Awesome for people to still be discovering Opiate in 2021 :D. Opiate / Undertow = Genesis .... Aenima was diff, but great....Tool had a huge influence on me. Later albums were growth. #fibonacci
@@soberbutler4623 it’s easily one of my favorite albums, just because how raw and hard it is. I love Tool’s older stuff, but their early days when they still had that heavy sound is the best imo

Maynard James fkn Keenan
Devour your thoughts
God damnit my heart stopped for a split second thinking they'd released one of the new ones.. much love to the TOOLshed!
me too
Same here.
Yup. That's how they get ya
Me too.
ThePot.
The artwork fooled me into thinking this is a new song
Me too...
They did a reissue in '13. Artwork is by Adi Granov (Iron Man: Extremis artist).
I'm on a phone and can't quite make out the figures emanating from alien mediatrix's hands. Are those various incarnations of Maynard through out the years?
Everybody knows that Hush is an old song
There’s me thinking yes new tool shit...
That scream at the beginning still gives me goosebumps all these years later
Every.Time!
The vocal acrobatics Maynard pulls of on this EP are magical in general. That scream in Jerk-Off is still one of the craziest ever.
thanks TOOL for all these years of beautiful music
@Dexy Chan these**
it is an old song
@Dexy Chan we'll find the right words eventually, I know the pieces fit.
The time has come for us to take out our tool and conquer the planet.
Thass noot nice brah
Songs roughly 28 years old...for the Edgy kids out there
I was writing a comment how this can't be 28 years old, then I realized that this is true and how older I am
You can tell it's not a new song by the fact it's less than 10 minutes long.
@@elnombre91 and it's got the Opiate cover on it.

Ok
Success.
That would make a freaking great promo for the album actually
The album is coming out before the Area 51 raid but ok

Duncan YUP!!🤘🏼
Maynard calling out trolls before there was even an internet.
What lmao? Hes doing the opposite... Hes calling out people who get worked up over joking/trolling
Literally. ^
WE'RE MAKING HISTORY BOYS!!!!
This is a defining moment in the digital relationship with elite artists. Very exciting.
How so? Forgive my ignorance, but I don't really know any Tool... yet.
AGDinCA you can lead a horse to water, but you can’t make it drink.
@@MrZZsharka Am I missing something here? Was your statement an inside joke? Quote from a movie? Is it National Random Metaphor Day?
AGDinCA yep ironically If you look it up you’ll get it. It’s like you could sit in your favourite car with the keys in your hand, but if you don’t turn it on it’s not going to go anywhere.
Only true Tool fans knew this wasn't a new song... that fan wasn't me.
People really don't know about this song? :/ Opiate was such a great album though
That's reassuring because I found it really underwhelming lol
@@mav.- I'm not as old as the true fans are, but rest assured, I have been a metal head since I was 10 for seven years now, and tool for 3 years.

Tool releasing their songs on YT AND on Spotify...Is this real life ?
I know bro, not cool.
And Pandora. I was amazed!
Yea im still fuckin confused
@@redwoodestates1 me as well. I knew it was from the Opiate album, but are they doing this to promote the new album? I feel as if maybe a new approach to reach wider audience? I seriously feel out of touch here, and I've been a fan since I was 8 years old. FYI: I was 8 in 1992.
Apple music and Google play as well
One of the greatest Tool albums for sure! If not the best
best
I was like 13 years of age found this album in library. Copied CD on tape. Still loving it same. I'm 40...
It's their best album in my opinion. Every song in this album does not disappoint!!
You mean IT found you
Fuck yes ... !! :}
I was never a huge fan of Opiate but the timing of the release of all their music on Spotify this week is a good enough reason as any to rediscover their earlier music. 10,000 days remains my favorite Tool album ever though.
Beautiful in all ways and aspects possible. MJK's voice still gives me positive chills 🤗
Still? Nigga, this song is 28 years old.
@@JimTheCurator that's her point, dumbass. She's saying that even now this song still gives her chills even though she's heard it assumedly many times before

First band in history to release 5 albums at once.
I can see this band having a potential future! :)
Only great bands can dissappear for 10 years and come back stronger than ever!! Tool have done that, much respect to these guys \m/
The universe has brought its Tool to the forefront once again to change the tides.
We need this song these days now more than ever.
Probably the first and only Tool song to be under 3 minutes.
This song perfectly sums up my sentiments towards today’s culture.
Oh man.. and that was 2 years ago hahaha. Imagine how I feel right now.
Even more true today ... waiting a 2027 post .. how fkd will we be then
Yea, it got worse.
The whole of human existence
And the generation
Always thought hush was such an underrated song, glad to see this is grabbing more attention now.
Man this song is just how every youtuber reacts when they get caught tossing slurs left and right.
2024 and lyrics couldn't be more real AF 🤘🤘
OGT back from '92 from the first ep
Hands down one of my favorites, this and Right In Two.
I' ll always be thankful to may friends sister " Hey man, do you whant to get to know my sister?, then listen to one of her cassetes" the cassete was TooL's opiate.
Never hooked up with her. But never forgot about her, nor the cassete that changed my life.
How could you dislike something like this you're not human 🤦♂️
Well, haters gonna hate 😜
People do it for attention
Lol, I couldn't agree more!!
That's right Bowie boy
Well, they are well-known heretics and blasphemers, so there goes a good portion of the population. Lol
Definitely one of the best outro bass lines ever.
Remember what to do at stoplights now everyone, VOLUME UP!
He's right in my ears there for a sec👀
One of the most mind-blowing trips in life is experience Tool!
Especially live. by far the best concerts I have ever been too!! Of course some psychedelics and THC help.
@@seanriopel3132 I finally experience them this year ... I was sober, but from the moment the band played the first note, I started my trip... so good!
@@vinyldiary6664 Last Tool concert I went to I was the designated driver, totally Sober and still had a great time... but never again. LOL
Probably the best track I’ve ever heard them play.
I'm really glad that Tool decided to hop on the music streaming bandwagon finally! I hope it introduces their music to millions of new fans. (and maybe it'll encourage/inspire the band to NOT take 13 more years to release their next album 😂. I love their music. It's so unique and so.. damn...brilliant! Tool is legend that needs to be heard and passed down through generations!! They're one of my absolute favorite bands! I remember getting into them when Ænima came out.l, and I've been hooked ever since! I still listen to them quite often, and as time has moved on, I find myself enjoying and apprecting their legacy even more. Their music has aged like a fine wine. I have so many amazing memories attached to this band! To the new and growing cult of fans I say, Enjoy it! Resonate with it! And don't take them for granted!
I remember making a DVD that had this video on it, along with other greats (with our own dope menus), while we were living out of our cars in L.A. ...because it's just what you do when you're 18 years old and responsibility, rational thought, planning, and rules don't apply to you. Anyway, we had a lot of great DVDs and CDs (obviously) like this, and I still haven't gotten tired of any them. But nothing has ever, or will ever beat Tool, for me. I genuinely believe my brain wouldn't allow me to fill that spot, even if a miracle happened and a band even came close to making me question myself. Come to think of never forgetting the great soundtrack I grew up to, I first heard Tool ('Sober' on MTV) when I was an actual child, and I never forgot that experience either. Our travel was in early February 2007, so quite soon after 10,000 Days came out, and there were a LOT of great albums coming out around those couple of years. Still, Tool is the best. And I've never had a favorite anything before. Not even close. And this has been my favorite thing for more than half my life.
That bassline!
THIS is the song and album that started my TOOL journey. I actually was introduced to this by a friend I had before Sober hit Mtv and everyone went nuts (Including me. I went nuts for Sober and Undertow). I was BLOWN AWAY by Opiate and wished it had more songs on it.
I 1st saw TOOL live in summer of '93 lollapalooza and it was in the middle of the afternoon, hot sun beating down, no stage show of any kind and they killed it! I remember this dude in front of me was blasted out of his mind on something and instead of facing the stage he was looking at me and the rest of the crowd. Playing air guitar and swaying around close to falling over and passing out. I remember thinking "This dude is missing a new band that is amazing. He won't remember this at all." Later that day I saw him passed out near the port O' Johns while Fishbone was playing lol
These guys have some serious potential, I'll keep an eye out for more music from this band

This song gets more and more real.
Part of the pre-surf pre-skate soundtrack! Walkman days! Songs to smile too!
Hmmm mighta been Discman days…or Walkman/Discman crossover era?
Adams guitar work to this is criminally overlooked!!
First Tool song I consciously decided to listen to and it's AWESOME
When I first heard Tool I was younger like 15. I couldn't get into them because they weren't heavy enough for me, sp listen tp a lot of metalcore/deathcore and black metal, but now I see that this is good. It took me a little bit to like Tool.
Amazing. Great Bass!!!🤘🏽
Love the memories this song brings back. My buddy made the opening line to this song his signature greeting with a big middle finger 🖕 every time he entered the room back in college...he’s a doctor now, wonder if he greets his patients that way...
Classic WoW release + new Tool album in late august 😊
I remember a friend from high school showing me this band. Was fun as hell learning the bass from the intro.
Greatest yell at the beginning of a song ever!
Love the music and art###!!!!!!!
I karaoked this song in front of my daughters and now they listen to this band. Im so proud of them.
Tool grew into an an amazing band but I love the almost punk/grunge vibe that the earlier stuff has
Kinda interesting how their sound evolved in a way that almost mirrors Campbell's Heroic Journey, the evolution from the warrior to the wizard.
I love at the end, Maynards " you pos" 😂😂😂
The memories of almost passing out while driving screaming to these tool songs is real . 🤣
We never forget!!!
