Blew my mind with the concept of arm motion while you jump and how the hang clean is basically the same motion except you're doing it with weights so it's that much easier when you're doing it with no weight. This is the secret to more explosive athleticism. Would have been good information to know 20 years ago when I was still in HS. I ran for my track team in HS and no coach (we had multiple coaches) ever told me to or checked with me to see if I was hitting the gym and doing squats or any weight exercise related to my legs. Hey, if nobody teaches you that shit, you're not gonna know it. I thought that's what coaches were for. Anyway, I hardly took care of my body but loved basketball so I always played seasonally despite taking off entire seasons of any activity and eventually, I suffered a knee injury that I've had to deal with to this day. Yes, training better can take you to the next level, but it also keeps your shit strong. Regardless of level, if you love to play, you should train your body. Your older self will thank you.
