- RTOON EVOLUTION #44.2 - BART SIMPSON
Created as a companion video to my series of CARTOON EVOLUTION videos (specifically 'Evolution of THE SIMPSONS - 37 Years Explained'), I take a look at the vocal evolution of Nancy Cartwright as I compare her vocal performance of Bart from The Tracy Ullman Show and through the 35 seasons of The Simpsons series.
Here's my look at Bart Simpson's Voice Through the Years!

It's funny that Nancy was the only one of the main cast that came from a voice acting background. As a result, she was the first Simpsons cast member to do a guest voice on (still being a rival at the time) Family Guy. Only it was as one of the Snorks in a cutaway.
She must have been wonderful in the snorks!
@@mayracordero382 The Snorks basically had the standard 80's American voice actor cast. They got Michael Bell back for that cutaway, as well. But, trust me, it's not a very good cartoon.
I bet the same thing for American Dad
@@cnsayin8847 If you're talking about veteran voice actors, while they certainly have a lot of guest voices, the only ones of the main cast that come from a traditional VA background were Dee Bradley Baker and Kevin Michael Richardson. Though Rachel MacFarline did transition to voice acting outside of one of her brother's series.
@@mightyfilmI think that's what I meant.
Oh wow, you can definitely hear a difference, I can actually hear Nancy‘s real speaking voice in the later seasons.
It's amazing how she was able to voice Chuckie too (and arguably better than Christine had).
“Eat My Shorts.” - Bart
Nancy Cartwright does a good performance at Bart. I recognize her for doing Chuckie in the Rugrats even the reboot, and some other shows in between like Animaniacs.
She's wonderful as chuckie and in the animaniacs
And Rufus the naked mole rat, because I first knew Nancy Cartwright as the voice of Rufus before knowing her as the voice of Bart Simpson because I remember watching Kim Possible on ABC Kids in 2005, followed by Power Rangers S.P.D.
He sounds like more of a baby at the beginning
As time goes on you can hear her drop the voice a little bit more but it's still good
Nancy is wonderful to voice bart simpson and she brings a great older and wonderful charm so "don't have a cow nancy!"
0:39-0:58: if only the characters aged as well…would’ve made pretty good continuity.
Fun fact: she appeared in the earliest role in: twilight zone: the movie in 1983.
Thanks for putting some of the best episodes in here. I love Wild Bart's Can't Be Broken and The Totally Fun Thing Bart Will Never do Again.
"hooks for hands"
Nancy Cartwright also voiced the unicron Gusty from MLP G1
Nancy is just incredible!
Gonna be pretty fucking depressing when we get to Marge…
You bet 😰
Bart is my spirit animal
So amazing
Bart Simpson bad boy
Only Bart
Don,t have a cow Man
Bart Simpson
Nancy Cartwright is iconic, but in recent years it sounds like she's slipping and letting her natural voice come out.
Ay, caramba. Nice one
coooool
Bart simpson
Well... you're damned if you do and you're damned if you don't. Unless you're Nancy and you do the Bartman!
Why you little Funny
“ Eat My Shorts “
Yeah Nancy's Bart voice started to sound a bit more preteen as the show went on she's 1 of the most noticeable of the cast
Notice on The Tracey Ullman Show she sounded like a little boy kid 7-8 years old & on The Simpsons in the late mid-modern seasons she now sounds at least 11 for Bart
