Created as a companion video to my series of CARTOON EVOLUTION videos (specifically 'Evolution of THE SIMPSONS - 37 Years Explained'), I take a look at the vocal evolution Dan Castellaneta as I compare his vocal performance of Homer from The Tracy Ullman Show and through the 35 seasons of The Simpsons series.

Dang His Voice Changed As Actor Grew Older.
He starts to sound slightly older at season 34.
He's still got it, I'd say, even after over 30 years. What an absolute legend.
"Bed goes up, bed goes down. Bed goes up, bed goes down."
Just hearing Dan change between his Walter Matthau impression and the iconic, goofier Homer voice is fascinating. Not to mention how he's been voicing the same character for over 35 years.
I haven't really noticed the change in the recent seasons any much as I have Marge's
Marge’s change is ABSOLUTELY the most drastic!
I love homer simpson and his voices and dan castellaneta is just amazing though the seasons!

Crazy, he sounds pretty much the same from seasons 2-33, then starts sounding a bit like Grampa at 34.
I like how his voice got goofier the second his character did. I find that episode "No Disgrace Like Home" quaint, as Homer was actually trying to better the family and wasn't seen as the embarrassing one. While we mostly are familiar with Captain Wacky, if not Jerk-Ass Homer, thoughtful, Walter Mathau-esque Homer always feels strange. His character was unfinished and he was all about being an angry dad, not the doofus Everyman we all know and love. And while some of the voice actors' age really caught up to their vocal cords, Dan's doesn't feel nearly as dramatic.
Throughout Season 5 to 7 you notice Homer's voice get so much louder in some scenes that you practically hear it reverberate off the walls at wherever they recorded those episodes at the time it's especially noticable in King Size Homer
The season 8 voice is the one I'm used to hearing.
I wasn't able to watch the show in first run so I relied on off-network syndication at least until I got a chance to start watching the first run episodes. Now I have Disney+ just for the sole reason of watching the show without cropping or time cuts.

I have noticed a change in Homer's voice as Dan got older, but it's nothing compared to how Julie Kavner voiced Marge today.
That part where Homer’s bones cracked and he screamed got me bursting out laughing.
It makes you kind of wonder who will be homers voice, if Dan Castellaneta was to die

It must of been hard editing this since, Homer has the MOST iconic moments and sayings from the show, i am not sure how you chose sayings or line reads, it must of been hard.

Nice compilation though you should have added more clips from the Tracy Ullman show
There were only three seasons of the Ullman Show. So this video didn’t go for an hour, I limited the video to one clip per season.
Am I the only one that thinks that Homer’s voice never chanced since season 2?

I noticed in the movie clips. Definitely from a PAL source.
