+Antonio Enrico Absolutely agree, the DM track that they always play should be this one or The Day That Never Comes, or they should play both actually.
+Metallica Master Of Puppets I agree, its also very repetitive, like in the unforgiven III and broken beat and scarred but other than that its a great album, also Robert did a good job
James once said in an interview that he was not very confident on this song. For me i think it's 100% metallica sound. It's like a rollercoaster and long enough. Should definitely be played more live. #MetallicaRules
Wasn't he talking about the complexity of the song? This is one of the hardest songs to play the rhythm guitar and sing along (the chorus is on a high pitch, btw)
@@mushroom11g55 Complex as far as time changes, odd time signatures, and numerous parts, but not as far as fast technical guitar like on this song - Adam Jones is really good, but no way he could pick as fast and accurately as James.
Man that is such a marathon of a song changing tempo with starts and stops for so long, and they nail it live. One of my favorite late Metallica songs.
kick ass performance of what has definitely become one of my all-time fav tunes from them. if the next album's got songs this good, it'll be really tough to disappoint any fan.
+BurnBabyBurn! You'd think so, wouldn't you? But people will still piss, moan, complain and hate on it, because it didn't come out in the 80's. Personally, I'm with ya though, Death Magnetic is a freakin' masterpiece and will be very hard to top.
+Beer nMetal it's a very cool album, no doubt about it. if they keep the level close to it, it will be a success. won't be easy, but I'm convinced they still got the talent within them to top it. and you know, haters will hate, no matter what they release; so nevermind.
They definitely have the talent and skill to match, or top it. James and Lars are masters with arrangement, song writing, etc. I will say, I don't think Lords of Summer is up to par with anything on Death Magnetic, and that song 'may' be on the new album. I don't dislike it, I just don't LOVE it. For all we know, it may just be a demo.
+Beer nMetal I like LOS to be honest. I guess they just took some riffs they got back then and make a song just for the summer gigs. maybe they will take just the very best riffs off it and add them on parts of other new songs where they fit good. they did that in the past, and worked pretty fine.
BurnBabyBurn! The version of LOS on iTunes says it's the "first pass version", so yeah, I'm guessing it's not done.. too early to judge. Listening to it as I type this, and I'm liking it more. I think it's growing on me.
+Bryan HDGaming he tried in rock in rio brasil but it's very deep voice after 20 years and vocal surgery Song: Sad But True - "Hate , i'm your hate" part. It's clearly his old voice but it died 12 years ago after he learned new technique with st. anger
Stig Tveen Borup how he lost it during the black album or so what ?? Because his voice remained same until 1997 then it changed. For example: Fuel For Fire released in 1995 and Fuel released in 1997. Listen carefully both songs and then tell me the difference. I researched every James Hetfield voice.
But Black Album voice was not really James' voice so it kinda ruined whole scream-thingy voice. Bob "Cock" was forcing him to do heavy metal voice instead of his old voice which can fit very well with vocal tuners. He only used his old voice in 1996 with "King Nothing" after all years then it's gone. It's dead right now , it sounds like growling leon.
datb double bass at 13:09 and James saying 'Luck runs out' twice and hitting 'out' very low. My reason, why they started playing King Nothing is because of its passage, where James is saying:"I wish i may, i wish i might, have this wish i wish tonight,..." and it has something to do with the new album stuff (som low wocals). Just thinking about it.
I feel like a derp, but I just now noticed upon revisiting this video that you can hear Kirk and James individually on the left and right headphones. I love it! Whoever did the editing/mixing has them crystal clear too. It has always been a thing of beauty to hear them so locked into each other's rhythm playing like that.
Vishal Sheth it makes sense, especially for Lars because he seems like more of a studio musician, so he's in better shape because they're recording an album.
