There are some mistakes but my laptop was literally burning while I was doing all of this so please forgive me 💔💔💔 And reminder that its my opinion ok?
For AJFA, my favorite Lars moment is the double bass kick drum part in Blackened. For Ride the Lightning, I think the best Cliff moment is the intro to For whom the bell tolls.
Every song on AJFA is a masterpiece on the drums, but my favorite are Dyers Eve's double pass part, Blackened's fill before the harmony, the pre-chorus of The Shortest Straw that changes through the multiple times it's repeated, obviously One's sextuplets, and self titled's main riff drum part (that's just for Lars' parts lol)
There is a neat little bass lick after the hysteric laugh in Dirty Window. It’s a bit difficult to hear, but it’s definitely audible! In my opinion, Bob Rock had some great bass playing on that album..
The tail end of Kirk's solo in Spit Out The Bone is WAY better than the Halo On Fire solo.... you could almost give every member their moment from that song alone.
I think these songs should also be on this list (P.S.: First ones that come to mind): *Through the Never (Main Guitar Solo) *The House Jack Built (Main Human Microphone Solo) *Room of Mirrors (Main Guitar Solo and Interlude Harmony) *Chasing Light (Main Riff)
Here are my opinions: Kill em all - Interlude slow guitar section written by Mustaine Ride The lightning - Trapped Under Ice - mid section transition Ride The lightning - Fade to black - organ sound in the intro Master of puppets - Battery Intro AJFA - One twin drums Black Album - The God That failed - Shotgun sound in the background Load - Hero of the day - vocals in the last part (jason and james together) Reload - Vibrato vocals of Unforgiven 2 Garage Inc - die die my darling - vocals by all band shouted `die` together Garage Inc - Astronomy - James yelling in the last part S&M - Enter sandman - outro - (jasons back vocals and `hey` part) St. Anger - Sweet Amber - Breakdown Part Death Magnetic - Intro of the TDTNC HWTSD - Halo on Fire - OBEEEEY 72 Seasons - Inamorata - Interlude Harmony & Misery Vocals in the end
Dude i was praying the frayed ends drum fill was gonna be the one for lars on ajfa and you delivered. Damn good video in general but that deserves a huge plus in my opinion.
so valid honestly, these are also my favorite parts of all my favorite metallica songs, you skipped fade to black though lol the ending to fade to black is perfect
This video was made by someone who really understands the music deeply, and most of these are excellent choices. The only things I personally would change: Ride The Lightning - I think Hetfield's clean riff on Fade To Black after the first solo is better. ...And Justice For All - Kirk's solo on Dyer's Eve with the hammer on pull off section is better than the One solo. Load - Lar's drumming at around 4:50 of The Outlaw Torn during the chorus is better. Reload - Lar's drumming on Fuel say from 3:00 to 3:15 going from the heavy breakdown into the fast part. otherwise, perfect.
I think the double bass in Trapped Under Ice is more fitting than the same in FFwF, as it's not too slow in comparison, but much longer (But you have to listen to a good remaster to notice it!). Speaking of remasters, why didn't you include Ktulu with more prominent bass?
@@sutiszorny8039 yeah, escape way different from most of their songs. Honestly most of my hate towards the song comes from the band and James in particular hating the song. I thought it was alright at the time when I didn't know the backstory.
The outro guitar solo on Halo on Fire is James in the studio, the tone and note choice are all wrong for Kirk, plus he plays a completely different, much more Kirk-style solo in concert. Frankly, all of the same things are true, except possibly for the tone, for the Inamorata outro solo so I firmly believe that's James too. It's all just my opinion as a guitarist with 30 years of experience studying and learning both of their playing styles, but I stand by it nonetheless.
Wah is just an effect, and one that James has used before, contrary to popular belief (Ecstasy of Gold cover). It's not exclusive to Kirk. Plus, the Inamorata solo sounds somewhat more like Auto Wah to my ear. But really, the single biggest question for me is why does Kirk play a completely different solo live for both songs when all of his other live solos at least come close to the studio verison?
There are a bunch of live examples of Halo at this point and that outro solo sounds almost exactly the same each time. That doesn't sound like "improvising" to me. He also doesn't improvise any other lead parts in that song, they match the album to the same extent that any of his live performances "match" the album.
2:34 (Contains massive anger) I respectfully disagree, For Whom The Bell Tolls is Cliff's best part on the album, but I understand why you chose Ktulu. (Breathes out)
It's really sad that Lars can go from playing Fight Fire With Fire and Battery, to a simple snare fill being considered his best moment on their most recent album
All songs of the Kill em all album are magic! Coming bands would strike the sound and playing by them.... no band came even close! It was 1981 and i bought it in a heartbeat! Now i am almost 60 and play it when i whan to hear REAL metal! ♨️🪨♨️
The biggest thing left off for me is the heavy part of bleeding me leading into the final chorus. That is a super highlight for me of that album. Fade to black "no one but me" riff Battery intro Bellz intro Orion main riff Roam main riff Room of mirrors ending.
@@utterdisaster603 It’s certainly not the Peak of that record. He actually does some cool neat stuff on songs like You Must Burn! And Crown of Barbed Wire.

Good lord man. Your lap 😫

the fact that 3/4 members best parts in 72 Seasons are all from Inamorata shows how amazing the song is

This video's is just one dude opinion though, it is not a fact xD, I don't think inamorata is that good.

The Rest sucks thats All
For AJFA, my favorite Lars moment is the double bass kick drum part in Blackened.
For Ride the Lightning, I think the best Cliff moment is the intro to For whom the bell tolls.
Agreed. And his drumming in the actual song AJFA is sooo fucking good
it needs to be the "machine gun" part from One, it's brilliant and iconic
Every song on AJFA is a masterpiece on the drums, but my favorite are Dyers Eve's double pass part, Blackened's fill before the harmony, the pre-chorus of The Shortest Straw that changes through the multiple times it's repeated, obviously One's sextuplets, and self titled's main riff drum part (that's just for Lars' parts lol)
@zephyrmusic_ Don't forget the The Frayed Ends of Sanity drum break
For death magnetic, I reckon Kirks best moment is the solo for Unforgiven III, it hits hard every time imo
Agreed, my favorite Metallica song oat
To me, The Day That Never Comes' solo has been their official comeback to the roots
The Judas Kiss for Me
AAAAAHHHH THE AUDIBLE BASS IN JUSTICE
Inamorata just feels like Metallica telling us fans “we love you all.”
There is a neat little bass lick after the hysteric laugh in Dirty Window. It’s a bit difficult to hear, but it’s definitely audible! In my opinion, Bob Rock had some great bass playing on that album..
0:16 You saw Keanu Reeves and you scream as loud in front of him :
Cliff's most iconic moment from Ride The Lightning is the intro to For Whom The Bell Tolls
thats the most iconic, but the bass part on ktulu is EASILY the best thing he wrote from all the first three albums imo, except maybe orion
5:47 Good thing you turned the bass on 😂
Best moment for James on 72 seasons has got to be the last vocal line on Room of Mirrors
Or the harmony that's right next to it
in justice my favourite james moment is the backing riff in frayed ends of sanity, what a masterpiece
Kirk’s best moment from Master Of Puppets IMO is his solo in The Thing That Should Not Be
The way he starts that solo is beautifully chaotic. Really so is the rest of it, but its the start of that solo that gets me.
too the solo of Welcome Home Sanitarium and Leper Messiah they are excelent solos
I'll never get over the riff from My Apocalypse
Overrated track imo
The tail end of Kirk's solo in Spit Out The Bone is WAY better than the Halo On Fire solo.... you could almost give every member their moment from that song alone.
11:03 welcome to mythbusters ass Lars
He looks like Jamie and Adam combined
It's crazy!
I was looking for a video of every best moment in Metallica's albums.
Great vid! Thanks for delivering.
Imo, kirk best moment in load is the Bleeding Me Solo
James’ vocals in that song are the best on the album, in Metallica’s discography I’d argue. Absolute peak.
I think these songs should also be on this list (P.S.: First ones that come to mind):
*Through the Never (Main Guitar Solo)
*The House Jack Built (Main Human Microphone Solo)
*Room of Mirrors (Main Guitar Solo and Interlude Harmony)
*Chasing Light (Main Riff)
Great idea for a video, i love the double drums on Purify by Lars Ulrich
Hi man, i'm watching it and i want to Say You do cool videos man, keep going
In AJFA i think the most solid moment of Lars is barely everithing in dyers eve 😅
Exactly what I was thinking
the day that never comes, the 0-0-0-0 part
what version of blackened is that? thats basssssssssss
Look up "...And Justice for Jason"
For me, the best moment of james on the black album has to be when the main riff of sad but true hits.
8:06 I would've personally put the Hero of the Day double bass part
Im actually surprised how good this collection is.
I would mention the post solo riff of don't tread on me from the black album, I think it's quite powerful and an interesting part for the song
The Outlaw Torn
This solo is like a flock of flying birds
Amzing
Can't believe you forgot kill kill kill kill from all within my hands 🥲
For Lars, I would've gone with Moth into Flame's fill right before the final verse, but great selection overall. Congrats.
Here are my opinions:
Kill em all - Interlude slow guitar section written by Mustaine
Ride The lightning - Trapped Under Ice - mid section transition
Ride The lightning - Fade to black - organ sound in the intro
Master of puppets - Battery Intro
AJFA - One twin drums
Black Album - The God That failed - Shotgun sound in the background
Load - Hero of the day - vocals in the last part (jason and james together)
Reload - Vibrato vocals of Unforgiven 2
Garage Inc - die die my darling - vocals by all band shouted `die` together
Garage Inc - Astronomy - James yelling in the last part
S&M - Enter sandman - outro - (jasons back vocals and `hey` part)
St. Anger - Sweet Amber - Breakdown Part
Death Magnetic - Intro of the TDTNC
HWTSD - Halo on Fire - OBEEEEY
72 Seasons - Inamorata - Interlude Harmony & Misery Vocals in the end
i think lars' best moment on 72 seasons is the double kick in room of mirrors
Best moment by Lars in Hardwired is that fill after the first chorus on Spit Out the Bone
Dude i was praying the frayed ends drum fill was gonna be the one for lars on ajfa and you delivered. Damn good video in general but that deserves a huge plus in my opinion.
Kirks best moment on The Black Album is definitely his solo on Wherever I may roam
so valid honestly, these are also my favorite parts of all my favorite metallica songs, you skipped fade to black though lol the ending to fade to black is perfect
Ride the Lightning solo is actually really good tho
some part are obviously missing but thanks for the effort that is a new lovely format and we all metallica fans thank u for that
Phantom lord scream sent chills down my spine
I miss the solo from Welcome Home (Sanitaruim)…♥️ one of the best solos ever
I always loved that fill in Of Wolf and Man and thought there was no way you'd pick that.
5:30 is the moment that will always stay with me in my head.
'DIE BY MY HAND' shouldve been on there
My favourite and justice for all kirk hammet moment is the shortest straw solo
Pretty underrated in my opinion
Did anyone else hear the bass in Blackened or am I just tripping?
Look up "...And Justice for Jason"
GIMMR FUEL GIMME FIRE GIMME THAT WHICH I DESIRE OUUHH

Heck nah KIA Lars best moment was intro to motorbreath
fr
Whiplash intro sounded more lime a motor than motorbreaths intro
It has to be either the fill in The Frayed Ends of Sanity, or Room Of Mirrors' Harmonic solo.
now do live best moments on every album tour
Obviously nothing beats My Apocalypse bridge, but Am I Savage Breakdown also goes unnoticed. Yes, im a fan of new Metallica
Best Jason's part from Load must be King Nothing or Until it sleeps!
Hammet hasn't had any progress since 1983. Amazing
Troll bait
Where is ATTACK scream from No remorse on Kill em all?
Watched just because I was curious what was chosen for Jason on Justice!
Gotta love Larz
Kirk didn't plays the damage inc. Bridge riff on the album,it's James. But he wrote it
Should’ve added something from Shadows Follow and If Darkness had a Son
can anyone else hear an off note version of 'intermission from DOOM' in this part 1:20
No main riff from Moth Into Flame? 😔
Kirk's best moment from Death Magnetic has to be the All Nightmare Long solo imo
3:32 couldn't agree more
0:34 I think the best kirk moment is Hit the Lights, specially the last solo
Hit the lights chorus is so catchy...
5:48 no way😮😮😮
I would argue that solo from Jump in the Fire is the best Kirk performance of the 80s era Metallica (even tho it's Dave Mustaine's)
Dave Mustaine has literally never ever produced a solo like Kirk's version of Jump In The Fire in his entire career.
Could you do the same with the other big four thrash bands please 🙏🙏🙏
my favorite Lars part in Hardwired is the drum fill in Moth.

I love all old Metallica, but Inamorata is a fucking banger

"Escape" chorus should be here too.
