@@SomeRandomdUde14You do need speed for sure, and sliding the legs off your torso is no cakewalk neither. Having said that if you got that deep into a submission most escapes would need a bit of urgency and explosiveness.
I saw Roger Gracie , Garry Tonon, Nick Rod, Craig Jones Jay Rod and Gordon Ryan . doing this in competition match. Counterintuitive. I never made like this. Looks as something very particular from Danahher/ Henzo lineage. I will give it a try.
I wonder how much everyone in that room paid to have him explain to them which way their elbow bends Bless him and everyone else that can take money from suckers like that
I say BS. Once he's got your arm extended it's too late to think about making the escape. You have to get your thumb in his pocket BEFORE your arm gets fully extended.
@@oof1204true, but he mostly wrestles. Not saying it in a bad way. Just think it be better for him and the class to teach wrestling that's good for grappling.
Not taking advice from downier who got silver at adcc is stupid. If he’s a blue or brown belt doesn’t matter. - Khamzat just now got his brown belt. He would smash black belts in ufc as a white belt. There’s is more to how good you are than your belt color. Some people have wrestled or done judo for 10 years before even starting bjj.
So stupid. This is equivalent to a running back not juking someone and just deciding he should go to a knee rather than fight through a tackle. Think like an athlete
"So for this escape, what you have to do is, just be more athletic and dont suck so bad" - Nicky Rod
Pm yea
It works and isnt really that athleticism dependant tbh🤷♂️
Just the way Jersey does it.
Don’t suck so much ya dummy
@SomeRandomdUde14 lol so many dudes are gonna get their arm ripped of thinking they're j rod😂😂

Ok guys the ingredients for this escape are an indestructible shoulder and 600g of T, blasted daily

At my gym my coach calls this the Clark Gracie escape, maybe look into him as well; could've originated from him
I wld end up sub'n myself
.
But what if your upper and lower body are covered in a gi?

Im going to get caught in a omaplata but fuck it I guess I’ll try it

It's been done before in the highest level
Good
That's not actually how he escaped, lol.
Early gamg
Whos taking instruction from a blue belt?!
Instructions from a guy who won silver at adcc, and a guy who won trials after only 3 years of bjj training who was a college wrestler
He’s a Brown helt

I think you should just tap and get better at not getting your arm takeen.
yes but at the highest levels they must have this late stage escape.
That's honestly just a stupid take, you should be prepared for the worst.

It was EBI rules where you literally start in an armbar position
@@danielbranca835 You do not start with your arm fully extended in EBI rules.
