- *** A quick CORRECTION to this vlog... Knowsley Safari Park is near Prescot, an area of Liverpool. We accidently said Preston. Our mistake
This week we visited Knowsley Safari Park near Liverpool / Manchester for another one of our zoo reviews! The entry prices at Knowsley are much lower than other safari parks in the country, so we wanted to find out if it was still as good a day out! What is it like and should you visit for your next family day out?!
Knowsley Safari Park has been open to visitors for over 50 years. With a five mile safari drive, foot safari, events and talks on a wide variety of animals, it is the largest safari park in the UK.

Wow, the animals get so close on the car safari. Think you made the right decision in not going through the baboon enclosure!
Love your enthusiasm, your joy. Best regards from Portugal 🇵🇹
Thanks! And thanks for watching! Hope you're doing well there in Portugal! Matt and Issy
Awesome video 🤗🤗🤗
Thanks!
That looks really good. Did you have to pay extra for the fairground rides?
Yes you did. It was all a token system. Thanks for watching!
Looks like an enjoyable day out. Shame the tigers were not to be seen. Nice to see the animals close up. Can see it was probably wise not to take the car into the monkey enclosure.
That was the only disappointment really, not seeing the tigers. Other than that it was a great day out and great value too! Thanks for watching!
Nice video
Thanks, we're glad you enjoyed it! Also, thanks so much for watching and commenting, we really appreciate it. Don't forget to subscribe if you haven't already! Matt and Issy
Near Preston? It’s 3 mins away from Liverpool.
Yes, we meant to say Prescot. It's was just a slip of the tongue. Our apologies. Nothing like the internet to put us right (multiple, multiple times). There is a pinned comment about this
@@ExploreHomeRepeat I’m sorry, a bit reactionary from me. Great video, though! Just thought it would have been easier to mention a major city like Liverpool, instead of Preston. But you didn’t mean there all along, my apologies 😂
Yeah, no worries. I think we were trying to be more specific, but being a long way from home and not familiar with the area, it backfired. Cheers for watching. Matt and Issy
Ur lucky,u go to so many zoos and safaris and I’m lucky if go to one a year, but this year I’ve been to twycross and I’m going to West Midlands and the Amur tiger trail looks brilliant
Yes, we are lucky! We'll we hope you get to visit more places and you enjoy West Midlands Safari Park. If you go, try and buy some of the special food they sell. You can feed the animals from the car, then they come really close!
@@ExploreHomeRepeat I recommend u,Newquay zoo,Paignton zoo and port lympe hotel and reserve!
Awesome. Thanks for the suggestions!
@@ExploreHomeRepeat your most welcome!
Have you got plans for Chester zoo? You’d love it.
We have been, but before we started vlogging! It was really excellent. We'll definitely have to go there again one day. It's a bit far from us for a day trip, so will have to plan it with a break in that area. Thanks for the suggestion though. It's certainly on the list! Matt and Issy
How dangras for kidd
Near Preston?? It's in Liverpool
Our mistake... we meant Prescot! We're obviously not from the area and it was a slip of the tongue. We are amateurs so you'll have to forgive us. You're not the first person to message... a lot of angry people out there unfortunately 😕
😂😂😂😂
Near Preston 😂😂😂in Liverpool
I think we meant Prescot! We can't be perfect... you'll have to forgive us. Thanks for watching though
I don't have a car .. Still can see everything?
Check their website for the 'baboon bus'. It takes people round that don't have their own vehicles. Might be worth checking what days it runs though. Hope that helps. Matt and Issy
@@ExploreHomeRepeat thank you for your answer 🙏 😊
Can we take our own food
Hi, thanks for watching. For yourselves, yes of course! No issues with that. For the animals, definitely not! 😄☺️😄
it was £18.50 for an adult a year ago? it's £25 each now.. scandalous you used to pay per car, now it's £125 for 5 in a car then everything else is extra aswell.. rides aren't included within that £25.
Oh wow. Yeah, we're seeing attraction prices increase a lot at the moment, as with all costs these days (food, energy, fuel etc). However, Knowsley is still better value than somewhere like Longleat, which is now £39.95 for an adult ticket!
Thanks for watching and commenting though. Hope you enjoyed the video! Matt and Issy
