In Tiger temple they do drug the Tigers but Tiger Kingdom is an alternative to that. Plus Tigers often are active during the night for hunting their prey
Thai police have intercepted a monk trying to flee the country's controversial "tiger temple" in a truck carrying fangs and skins. Wildlife officials have been camped outside the Thai Buddhist temple, which was shut down earlier this week amid allegations of wildlife trafficking, animal cruelty and illegal breeding.
The Tiger Temple, one of country's top tourist attractions attracting millions of visitors over decades, was shutdown last week after the discovery of tiger cubs and other species stuffed in freezers.Government officials removed 137 tigers from the temple, 150 kilometres west of Bangkok, as police investigated claims that people linked to the temple were breeding tigers to feed the market for wildlifeparts in China and other countries.

this makes me sick to my stomach!!! this is animal cruelty! you can clearly see that the tiger is drugged! and baby tigers have to sleep at least most of time during the day to conserve energy due to the fact that they are still growing! this makes me so angry!
Tigers are beautiful, I love tigers. Siberian tigers are my favourite. Unfortunately bastard poachers are wiping these magnificent animals out and it will be a sad day when we only c them in captivity.😘
If domestic cat and tiger body language are the same/similar: Baby Tiger: Wanted a nap (laying down; not really reaching out to play with the leaves) Giant Tiger 1: Was annoyed about being pet, but not annoyed enough to do something about it (tail flicking somewhat sharply and broadly; ears pointed backwards but not laying straight down; scooching away from the visitor but not growling or baring teeth) Giant Tiger 2: Was alert and taking in his surroundings, but didn't seem fearful; it makes sense to me that he got up to play but was kinda languid about it (tail flicking but not sharply or broadly; ears gently moving back and forth; looking around) I don't think waving the cardboard box on a stick around is "forcing" them to play any more than me dangling a string in front of my cats is "forcing" them to play. I'm a little confused as to what the rattling device that they waved in front of the Giant Tigers' faces was meant to do, though it doesn't seem like it hurt or scared them. Going *just* from this video, it doesn't seem like there's overt physical or substance abuse going on, and the tigers seem well-fed and -groomed. When it comes to interacting with the tourists, they seem to run a spectrum between indifferent and moderately irritated. I'm not crazy about the keepers trying to get the baby tiger up and moving when he clearly wanted to sleep, although I think enticing Giant #2 to play was appropriate because he was already alert and seemed to be building up some energy. They do need more space to roam around in, but I can definitely see how the facility is trying to enrich their environment (i.e. toys, the pool, the decor). Overall, this video gives the impression that the facility does not treat the tigers cruelly but could be more considerate of their wants/needs (much in the same way that most cat owners could be more considerate of their pets' wants/needs); and the tigers don't particularly enjoy interacting with humans, but it isn't torture for them, either.
Do not you see that the tiger is angry and has no interest in relating to you? That desire to annoy the animals, it is not enough to have them locked up and therefore mistreated, besides you annoy him to take a stupid video that does not impress anyone.
You are entitled to your view of this place of course. As for the video, like all my travel videos, it´s made to inform potential visitors about what they can expect if they go here.
Worse, it is almost publicizing places where animals are mistreated, why do not you go to the jungle and live with the tigers naturally? So people can see what they can expect if they go there.
Mónica G. de Zubiría u wrong tbh trust me a tiger ain't putting up with shit if he was annoyed he woulda went nuts in there its more of he just doesn't mind being touched that's hard for ppl to take in because its a tiger but its the truth he just honestly doesn't mind being touched
W. savage - Sorry but I'm not impressed with your expertise on tiger behaviour. Captive tigers are trained to behave "safely" next to human visitors - this is often quite brutal training - the tiger s do not derive pleasure out of being in captivity nor can you anthropomorphise fake feelings or opinions upon them.
Wolf Savage do you really believe in what you say? I insist: If you think that the tigers do not mind being touched why do not you go to Africa to a wild place and not "adapted" to touch the tigers and the lions to see if they do not mind being touched? Is it not that there they do not react naturally because they know in inferiority of conditions? On the other hand, you do not deceive anyone, it is clear that the tiger is not happy, whatever you say, what we all see is that the tiger is uncomfortable not to say annoying.
....and do you love the idea of these animals being bred and held in captivity just so people can stand next to them? What does this actually prove or say about the people who engage in this kind of activity - can they not see further than the bars of the cage"? They are in my opinion in a mental cage of their own.
The way some of these tigers are behaving, they've either been continually disciplined to the point of abuse, where their spirits are broken to the absolute will of the keepers where they're too afraid to demonstrate any independent thought or behaviour. Or they're tranquilized, or both. I think the abuse must be at least in effect for them to be behaving like that. They have been trained to do exactly what the keepers want them to do, and they don't seem to miss a beat in that. They're like automated robots.
Before making a stupid comment, your domestic cats we all have at home have been taken from their mothers as babies, never allowed to seer them again, they are put into houses and confined to these houses and not allowed to roam free anymore. So before making a stupid comment, please put things into perspective first. I don't agree with whole taking photos and setting the cat up for the perfect photo, i would much rather respect the big cat by giving it a tummy rub and being relaxed and calm around it so I can get the best experience with the tiger and so that the tiger knows I respect it for who he/she is. People who are saying these tigers are drugged are simply delusional, none of these tiger there were drugged, please stop making stuff up or find some bloody evidence first. If you are saying "They should be running free and not in cages" then do some reading into the matter as to why they are not. They are more protected in these enclosures than in the wild sadly.
As you say yes they are beautiful and majestic. But it's wrong to treat them like domestic cats. They are wild animals and should be treated as such, with respect. Zoos like this are on a par with how circuses used to be. If they were being bred to be released back into the wild then that is acceptable. However, what they are doing here is very wrong, on so many counts. If you know anything about cats generally you can see by the positioning of their ears and their twitching tails that they aren't liking being messed with. I don't know how they are keeping them so docile, perhaps they are drugged, to an extent that makes them sluggish.
From my research, they are not drugged and to me it looked like they are well kept. Anyway, I am no expert so this video is just a review of a very popular tourist destination in Chiang Mai. Nothing more, nothing less.
"If they were being bred to be released back into the wild then that is acceptable." - one thing you can be 100% sure of in Thailand is that NO tigers bred in captivity will EVER be released into the wild.
There is no wild to release them to. Unfortunately we have to accept that tigers will only survive in captivity. Maybe some day people will evolve to provide tigers with a habitat sufficient their needs.
Yes the most common response of stupid people. So we can invest in zoo facilities etc but not for the preservation of big cats? I think most of us rather die on their feet than live on their knees. Just like us I'm pretty sure they rather be free and live knowing there are hunters, than live a lifelong in a cage like a pet. Plus governments can clearly invest in wildlife preservation. It's just not on their agenda. Idiot.
THESE tigers will die because they are all born in captivity. They can never be set free. Why don't you address the governments then instead of name calling ordinary You Tubers like most of the ignorant commenters on here. Until someone are willing to invest in paradises for these tigers without any income in return these places are the option to keep the species alive in the long run. Whether you like it on not.
This is really sad. We shouldn’t have any animal in captivity and let alone be treated like a clown. Only time we should keep animals in sanctuaries is to save then from extinction then release again when the time comes. We don’t need a zoo we dont need this type of tourist attraction. It really is cruel.
It's not only and always about getting ur stomach full.. they r not made to be in such captivity, its unnatural!! They will be more happy n healthy even with half full stomach if left in freedom.. these confindness slowly make them ill. Look at their faces frustrated nd notice their movement, looks like drunken! These r such a beautiful creation of nature don't ruin them..
These Tigers are drugged, no way do Tigers just lay there like that, with humans buzzing around them.. Hope this gets investigated for animal cruelty to these beautiful animals..
I have never seen SO many beautiful, magnificent cats which look like they've lost the will to live. This is an absolute disgrace and should be closed immediately. Then have the cats transferred to someone responsible, such as Kevin 'R' at his sanctuary in South Africa, where they would have the relative freedom to roam within a safe, patrolled environment. It's SO, SO sad that these regal creatures have ended up like this. It's just as bad as a circus. These cats deserve MUCH better than this. I'd feed the damned owners to the Tigers ! 🙁 🐯
i mean if i could touch the cutie pie on his head and have nose to nose that could be awesome.... but he/she looks sad... why they are trying to make him do stuffs like jump and run n all... he is a F-ing tiger... he need to be wild and all... i live in kolkata and in our zoo we have a few cuties they are also sad since i think they would love to be in wild. but still at least once when i was there people were gathering around it's place only and there was quite a noise while the tigress was sleeping in good winter sun... she got annoyed and actually roared and suddenly all the visitors went silent and one evet spitted the water he was drinking... it was so good..

Giant Tiger 1: Was annoyed about being pet, but not annoyed enough to do something about it (tail flicking somewhat sharply and broadly; ears pointed backwards but not laying straight down; scooching away from the visitor but not growling or baring teeth)
Giant Tiger 2: Was alert and taking in his surroundings, but didn't seem fearful; it makes sense to me that he got up to play but was kinda languid about it (tail flicking but not sharply or broadly; ears gently moving back and forth; looking around)
I don't think waving the cardboard box on a stick around is "forcing" them to play any more than me dangling a string in front of my cats is "forcing" them to play.
Fun Fact: A tiger can literally lick the skin and muscle off your bones.
@Metal Morphine No. Their tongues have tiny barbs... They lick the meat of bones...
What tiger is this? The Bengal Tiger?
This is sad 😭
So so sad and sick minded humans to do this to tigers and other wild animals.
The big one is beautiful! Perfect stripes and the tail looks so cool
The first big one I mean.
poor tigers, i think they drugged these tigers. these people just want to make $$$$$
stupid , they drugg em for a reason
they dont. www.paintmeparadise.com/2016/03/06/tiger-kingdom/ you are all confusing tiger kingdom with tiger temple which has done these atrocities.
The way tiger shake his tail the ears … he’s not comfy at all
Do not you see that the tiger is angry and has no interest in relating to you?
On the other hand, you do not deceive anyone, it is clear that the tiger is not happy, whatever you say, what we all see is that the tiger is uncomfortable not to say annoying.
that would be an awesome experience, but 0:28 looked a bit odd, the tiger's reaction time.
what an amazingly powerful and muscolar beast that is, love it.
....and do you love the idea of these animals being bred and held in captivity just so people can stand next to them? What does this actually prove or say about the people who engage in this kind of activity - can they not see further than the bars of the cage"? They are in my opinion in a mental cage of their own.
Are they indochinese tigers?
I didn’t even read the comments first but I could tell something was off about that tiger sitting so calmly. He looked high on something.
The package is like serving a human as dinner for the tiger 🍴🤯
Face to Face with heavily sedated tigers.Fuck this shit.
😞😞💔
😲 just a single bite is all it takes. I will rather not risking my life by going into the tiger's enclosures.
Well I won't be doing it again :)
The day there will be a shortage of drug dosage, then you can have real pics of tiger eating.
I agreeee! Never go to a place like this😎😢
Once tiger get aggressive they'll know
"This big Mac gives great back rubs"
When the tiger eats one of those trainers, he’s hungry again within 20 minutes.
No, lol. But I get u
3:35 - Tiger : "Im surrounded by idiots" !
They are drugged it's no secret.
very big and very beautiful tiger
These Tigers look like they have been abused
Jay u mean sexually abused?
They're definitely been drugged to keep them sedated so that they wouldn't tear the people that annoy them apart!
That dude at 5:47 sounded like if he was sniffing cocaine.
Playing with the nature will someday going to be very brutal..
Sometimes human hobbies lead to his own destruction...
Covid
Poor tigers!!!!!!! 😔😔😔😔😔
Not for me. I would watch from the other side of the fence.
Wow! What a magnificent animal! Big! How much do the big cats weigh?
THEY SHOULD BE FREE IN THE WILD
If they set these tigers free they would all die.
Tiger 🐯🐯 be like y r these foods irritating me 😂😂
Sick, it's very sick. It makes my stomach sick watching scenes like this.
What are the wooden sticks FOR!???? ICAN imagine how they train them after the gates are closed!???
Those are the most aggressive Royal Bengal Tigers on the planet. but what happened to them ?
They all had batons on their belts. Not a good sign.
a baton wont help a person being torn limb from limb
This is really sad. We shouldn’t have any animal in captivity and let alone be treated like a clown. Only time we should keep animals in sanctuaries is to save then from extinction then release again when the time comes. We don’t need a zoo we dont need this type of tourist attraction. It really is cruel.
This makes me sad...you can tell they are drugged. :(
This is not how such a magnificent creature should live its life. I actually feel sick to my stomach thinking what happens off camera.
this is insane. they r drug addict
Imagine being a creature being touched by other strange creatures all day. Hope the zookeepers respect the tigers' personal space
What a beautiful beast, glory to God!
They are well fed and well taken care off, grew to maximum potential, unlike cousins in the jungle, right?
It's not only and always about getting ur stomach full.. they r not made to be in such captivity, its unnatural!! They will be more happy n healthy even with half full stomach if left in freedom.. these confindness slowly make them ill. Look at their faces frustrated nd notice their movement, looks like drunken! These r such a beautiful creation of nature don't ruin them..
"welcom to giant tiger"? lol
Quite amazing and fantastic....to be so close to the giant tiger👍
You can tell these cats are drugged. smh
Yeahhh if that tiger decides to attack.. not even gun shots would stop him from eating someone
These Tigers are drugged, no way do Tigers just lay there like that, with humans buzzing around them..
Hope this gets investigated for animal cruelty to these beautiful animals..
Hello, how long are you inside in the cage with the tigers?
I would say around 10 minutes.
The Tiger are drugged it's true
those tigers have a strange look in their eyes indeed
Thanks for the comment Captain obvious. Your only the 40th person to say that.
Why do they cut the mane?
