Although this was a disappointing situation for you to say the least, I think it’s important for viewers to see what really goes into making a video. So many UA-camrs edit out the hardships to make it all look so seamless and easy. When in reality, sometimes things just don’t go well. And it’s not all perfection and relaxation…. or safe. I 100% agree with others who have said you did the right thing to retreat and call it a day. You set a very good example for others. And in doing so, we’re the bigger man for having the restraint and common sense to walk away. Best to you from Indiana, USA.

You probably did the right thing I wouldn't want to try and chill out for the night with the thought some random drunk and his dog knows you're there, especially if they've been confrontational. When I go out camping I've my cane corso and other stuff with me. Just because they're is some freaks out there. But to be fair I've never had any issues ❤ loving your vids.😊

I live with an old man in our house for the longest time and it only bothered me while I was showering. My son at the tender age of 2 had a. Playroom upstairs and would tell me a old man read him stories all the time . As an Native American I was told about spirits as a child by my Aunt who was a Medicine Woman so I was used to these kinds of stories as fact . I told my son to enjoy his stories. I'm a believer after watching long grass moving as if someone was walking through it but no one was there, im 69 yr old now ,this happen when i was about 13 to 14 yr old and it scared the crap out of me.
Every time you revisit a memory, you add to it with your imagination. This means that when you were a child you had an experience that was very easy to think of as something that it wasn't, and for all these decades later you have unknowingly embellished this experience to become something that seems legitimate. In other words, because you don't understand simple brain function you now believe in ghosts in your later years. Simple critical thinking would have elevated your understanding from simple superstition to a logical outcome such as: the wind was blowing the grass and a child thought it was a spooky ghost.
I believe you, Hobbit. I never expected to be someone who sees weird things, and I'd rather die than make up stories, but I'm 53 now and I've seen things that have proved, to me, that there is more going on than we understand.

What you should be doing is taking someone with you like me, who doesn't take that kind of BS from people. Plus, it's always safer to go camping with someone else and the company is great too.
I've been wild camping for years, mainly alone. I enjoy the feeling of being just surrounded by wildlife. Only once was I supprised. I woke up on Dartmoor, having set camp the previous night, went around the corner to go for a pee and there were five military personnel looking at me 😂 They told me that they saw me coming using night vision kit, heard me set camp, and snoring, I had absolutely no idea they were so close 😮😂

Me and the mrs was on the druids land a couple of years ago and early hours of the morning I could hear what sounded like 2 hoofs walking round our tarp tent and I thought the mrs was fast asleep and didn’t want to wake her to worry her , but I kept alert and nothing touched the guy lines or owt but whatever it was went on for about 20 to 25 mins and it eventually went away ! And in the morning my mrs said could you hear that last night and I was like yeah ! Still don’t no what it was as I don’t no anything that would be taking footsteps with only 2 feet/ hoofs but that was it ! I still don’t no but what a weird experience ! It didn’t put us off and we still go out 👍🏻🏕️💜💜💜💜

The whole area seemed really off to me, i live close to similar areas here in Ireland and no way would I camp there even tho the woodland is just as pretty. Sometimes the world has a funny way of moving you from somewhere or a path you are taking, when it's not meant for you, just let it be as you have.. I'm a strong believer in universal powers, sometimes it goes beyond normal understanding but when you learn to listen, you will not just hear but feel it. Abandoned village in Sheffield could have been at Neepsend, near to the old ski village, the area is fast developing, if this is the area, now known as Kelham Island, and the old ski village is close to full development over the next couple of years, hopefully. The posts and the overgrown gate are the entrance to the tree lined driveway that lead upto "The Mansion" as we liked to call it. We never went up there once it was dark way too scarey. It's still there, it's split into a few properties now.
Dan great decision to leave, because at my nearby Tucson, Arizona campsites we have Black Bear, Mountain Lions, Bobcat and Rattlesnakes..etc. However, it is the human predator that I fear most, so discretion is the best part of valor..👍! Have a great day!
