- Tent camping in the rain yep the rain is back so it's time for me to start using my winter tent like this
one within my video it's the oex Coyote lll backpacking tent. What I am Cooking for tea? steak and veg on my hot plat and relaxing around a nice camp fire.

I was gutted at work when i found out, i knew it was coming after i saw her bruised hands, archbishops statement and family headed north reports and then ..loss. Honestly i almost fell to peices, and i realized wow Charles is King, never had a king before....and that meal you made Dan was fit for a king i love that hot plate over fire skillet thing, getting medieval with it. Great video Dan, I've been camping since I was a nipper in the late 50s and to this day I love the sound of rain on a tent. Always provided it went up before I got soaked! For a few years now I have been forced into using a caravan (for health and age reasons) and the rain is much louder on the metal roof so not as soothing. With reference to HM the Queen, she was my boss for over 20 years and I have huge respect for her, I hope the Royals can get their act together and manage to come up to her standards.

I love rain on a tent, I just get in my sleeping bag and Lie and listen, the hours feel like minutes.
I did that from the part I was on the bed at the start I fell asleep for 2 hours 😴 🤣🤣

Have same tent from different brand,amazing space for the weight! I always have my smallest Trangia with me even just as a second burner to speed things up when I am too hungry to be patient!

I always enjoy your videos. You are a down to earth guy. It is not rude to not go say hi, especially if you are there on your own time. I am an introvert, and when I go camping alone I think it is rude when people come over to my campsite to say hi without an invite, lol. Anyway, you are a trooper for getting out to make a video for us with your bad tooth. Hope you get it looked at soon.

I understand what you mean about being on your own, it's a "mood thing" sometimes you just want to be on your own. I do a lot of solo work; I find it very relaxing especially if I've been guiding. It's nice to be in a tent when it's raining, it makes one feel more isolated and remote. The only problem with it is if you are under trees, they always drip long after its stopped raining, you must have an appetite Dan, awful lot of food for one. Enjoyed the video. We have a tree leaf here that would ease your mouth pain. (Horopito) works like cloves.

I started watching your videos about 3and half years ago and really enjoyed them....then (this may sound horrible, but I honestly don't mean anything nasty) you kind of went UA-cam clique route, so I stopped watching. I never disliked or left negative comments, I was all grown up and just didn't watch. This video is brilliant mate, like how you used to do them!!!
I looked at that feast and thought toothache or no toothache he'll eat the lot!!!
When I first watched your videos I was looking at the Coyote but felt it would be too heavy for solo wild camping (i still do) and this video shows what a great tent it is.

Great video mate 👍 i bought the same tent last month so versitile. Me and the missus have wild camped and done creamfields with it. Loads of room amd a piece of piss too set up/put away. Leaving the inner attached and storing the whole tent in the 1 big bag also saved a hell of alot of time . Take care

I was at the top of jacobs ladder, edale rocks doing my first solo camp when my friend text me about the queen's death. Will always remember where I was! Good to see the coyote iii out, may add to phoxx 1 and bobcat tents, can't go wrong with OEX, thought about the bed as well. Interesting to see what you think.

Nice vid. I love the sound of rain pitter pattering on a tent. It's very relaxing. I also enjoyed your no nonsense approach and explanation about people being sh🤬ty when they think only their view is the correct view and try to pull people down.
Not just on a tent, I love the sound of rain on my camper van, our beach hut and even my workshop/shed in the garden.

Nice video mate, peeing down now in the uk and love your vids. Just be careful on heating up water short of the boil. Even if water is “clean”, bacteria can be present and grow when the water warms up short of a boil. You need the boil to be safe, even if drinking soon afterwards with it off the boil. 👍
