I wouldn’t be surprised if the next crypt game requires you to create a very specific file so that when hashed, gives you the password needed to win the game through the last 4 characters decoded from unicode.

The fact that people would voluntarily play Crypt, without even being forced to do so at gunpoint, serves as further evidence to support my theory that the current average human IQ can be counted on the fingers of one head.
I don't know whether that typo was intentional but it's definitely funny
so, using head instead of hand makes that even more insulting. 10/10, I will use this.
Fun fact: It is possible to count to 999 without using anything but one hand. Though anything past that requires two.

As a patron with the Crypt Master achievement I can confirm that everything that Vale is saying in this video is entirely true. No lies at all. Trust me, I promise. Except for one thing, but you'll have to figure that out for yourself :)

I laughed so hard when i Twitch Streamer from Brazil went to the game page, downloaded it because he liked the visuals and didn't read or watch the trailers, and nobody on chat told him for the like hour or so he played, just for him to find out later XD

So while playing, I had wondered about alternate controls as, being left-handed, taking my hand off the mouse in order to hit E or sprint is somewhat cumbersome... but then I remembered what game I was playing. And who made it.
So all in all, I should be thankful with what I have.
My left handed brethren, please learn how to use a mouse right handed, it makes gaming so much better, it’s hard to get used to but it quickly overwrites your muscle memory of left hand mousing.
Hmm. I _was_ going to say for me that's impossible due to the low dexterity in my right hand, but for _this_ game I did have some better- well, no, not _better,_ but more... fluid movement I suppose. Luckily, accidental button presses on the mouse does squat in this game so I didn't need to worry about constantly doing that. However, repositioning the mouse once in a while lead to spastic movement, often losing orientation of where I was looking, which was somewhat problematic in the maze.
Still, I was able to find and collect the three tomes and four keys before Greg caught me. Perhaps I'll have better luck next time.
(but yeah, for most games, I _have_ to mouse left-handed for... well, precise movement and aiming. Still, after testing I might keep that in mind for other games should I need to)

The artstyle you chose is unironically amazing!! simple and great!! its really "catchy" and looks pleasant to look at, it looks comfy and warm
The extea randomness from procedural generating important parts really does add to the tortuous experience that is this game.

Just a day or two ago I saw the first Crypt video for the first time, thought to myself "Nah this is never goin on Steam" and lo and behold, perfect cereal guy moment.
The moment I saw achievement for last button in options, I was for the first time overflown with terror since I didn't know if Vale was honest saying "You're Smarter Than You Look" or will I fall into the abyss of false security
Okay, that one was actually less terrifying than the achievement called "GREGGERING" I actually had a heart attack after seeing

Just a heads up, I think the achievement "Landlord" counts the very first key you pick up (the "tutorial" key) in the four as I find myself getting the achievement after picking up the third main key on my first run.
I do hope there's eventually a video going over the changes in more depth for those of us who aren't quite as keen of eye or sharp of skill. As much as I can't play games like this due to SKILL ISSUE, I do love knowing how they work, so perhaps once people have had some time to figure things out on their own, us nongamers can get the backstage tour along with them

People were already speedrunning the game, ending the timer I believe once the last key is put in, so if anything, we are replacing the current any% category with a new one.

This very game is the reason I have decided to jump into the deep end and start teaching myself game development as a hobby, and while I may no longer have something to do with my plans to make something similar to this, you have given me the confidence to start working on things that I never would have thought I had the ability to do, keep up the good work!

i saw a brazilian youtuber play this on steam and he didnt saw the desc, he made a whole stream to pass the game until he give up and then read the desc and find out its a psycological torture lol
The fact That he said crypt 1, is crypt 2 just another map put were the ending of the first crypt map is generated so now you have to complete the first crypt and second one in a row without death with the second stage with two monsters (one is from the previous stage) and more puzzles that make no sense.
You know people are gonna speedrun this now.

The torch clips through the walls when you hug it, you could do those tricks that fps games use, paste a separate image of a torch on top, and the torch will stay even with it clipping through?

I was given a link to this game with no context by a friend, who proceed to tease and taunt me with half truths and "Hm... idk, maybe?"s in a call for the next 4 hours as I slowly figured out the game. I have beaten it now, and Greg and his brothers better prepare for my re entry, I'm getting 100% dammit
