He does stuff many hall of famers do with there back leg. Trout, altuve, hank aaron all do the same thing in their back leg that he does, which is the scissor kick.
It's all about scouting and other numbers like hard hit rate etc... Plus that was his first full pro season, and he is 20 years old... I like 58 plate appearances the year before he hit .311... and that .231 average is why we are not talking about him for the 2025 season...
@marcsimon3275 yeah but difference is one guy is looked at as a waste and might get cut. The other guy is looked at as untraceable and a future star. You cant see how the take on the two seems so drastically different?
@@davidlawrence8051 I get what your saying. And I also am confused how Peraza went from future star SS to unwanted... But, I am just saying it is all about what scouts are seeing to determine a prospects ceiling... I'm not a scout... BUt, obviously scouts are seeing things in Lombard that make them think he is a future star... And they are not just basing it on his first full pro season... or just on the numbers we see.... And don't ask me what that is... Besides past results... I am not the scout....

Yep, love the swing.
No one is untouchable,
The Yankees overcook their prospects…he’ll get his chance at 26😂
Lombard has a good swing.
Hopefully the Yankees future third baseman.
George Lombard aka George Springer
Why is a guy batting 231 comsidered such a great prospect yet a guy like peraza gets nothing but hate. I dont get it.

Stats aren’t super important when someone is developing. They’re working on stuff and they’re playing against older players.
Their age

THE Yankees need to trade for Luis Castillo FROM THE WHITESOX IN A TRADE AND Ibelieve he can lead off or bat 2nd in the 2025 lineup
