Thanks for making this video. Successfully installed a new fan assembly on my 2012 using your help. Mine was just broken like you mentioned, so it's saved as a backup in case but it's a poor design so I didn't lament replacement.
Great video. my A4 B8 fan is doing the same. i thought id have to replace the fan and strip the front end but this is going to make the job easier and hopefully just a fan fix like you're. thanks
Beautiful job. This explained how to undo the fan shroud from the groove on the radiator which was very difficult to figure out on my own. I will be tackling this on the weekend as I bought a replacement fan assembly and shroud from Amazon which just arrived. You are very neatly organized. Wearing a head mounted camera was a great idea but it does capture a lot of head movement which was dizzying to view but it steadied enough at the key points so I could follow. Did you take out your condenser and your radiator just to take out your fans? I'm really not sure what you did. Did you add spacers or what to take up the slack/wobble?
My friend I did just like your good video but now I think I did some mistake. 3:31 i think my problem here. I bring everything back then I turn my car on & its work but the car is not moving anywhere.. I put it on D & nothing happened Put it on R the car won’t move I don’t know what to do

I am all the way to the point of trying to remove the fan assembly and can not get it to unlock. Been at it for hours and the radiator just will not let it go. I can’t see what you’re doing to press with the screwdriver so it releases it 🤦🏻

Great video, thank you. Any idea how to test a fan off car ? Mine is a Audi radiator fan with 4 pins connector. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

No I did not. I removed the pins which secure the radiator to radiator support.
