- Please watch entire video, there are 2 different kind of oil consumption in your vehicle, factory warranty recall, and traditional oil consumption, both are very different, this video will explain how to fix them both, and give you real results/ note the dealership has extended the recall to 100k vs. 80k. Talk to Audi word prior to calling the dealership if you still are facing the irregular oil issue. Note I’m not an expert I just love sharing knowledge. God bless, and happy new year.

#AUDI #OIL CONSUMPTION #FIX
Ive been uses Lucas for 3 years now, and I'm 145,000 miles now, dose not even feel like I have any oil consumption issues. I feel like this is the only one that doesn't make your oil to thick, great right up
I used this too, everyone told me I was crazy, but my mechanic was an Audi technician and told me about this. It works great
preach, let the people know, god bless brother
Hola Just!
Nice, I am trying the same on my Audi a4 2011. But there are many people that say NO. What Audi do you have? Thanks in advance
@@iansolano1832 what was the result?
No issues at all? I want to try it on my 2011 2.0T Audi Avant.
How to use it bro tell me please
I’m using this on my18 wheelers for years and I can tell you it works, at 40 litres of oil put a gallon of Lucas , change oil every 15000 miles and no adding is needed in between,
Exactly champ, thanks 🙏 God bless you brother and be safe out there
Hola buenas mi audi 2.0 tfsi lleva 4.6l de aceite le e metido 1l de aceite lucas y 3.6l de aceite monly el funcionamiento lo noto bien. Es correcto la cantidad?
I knew about Lucas oil but was nervous to use it until this video. I literally had to buy two (2) jugs of oil for every oil change. I HAD this issue in my 2012 A4. I only added 1/4 of a Lucas oil and not only did it slow down the burn, I also got an extra 100 miles out of my total range (was getting only 430 miles of highway driving, now I'm averaging 550/560 and 400 miles city) the throttle response has even improved. Still burning a little oil, but it's day and night. I saw the MAF sensor vid and will try that next, but I had to leave a comment under this one. Keep going Bruce⚡🔥⚡🔥🤘🏿
Most definitely brother let me know, and I’m here for anything you need 🤜🏽🤜🏽🤜🏽✌️✌️
How much lucus do you use per oil change?
I am glad that has worked for you. My Q5 is averaging a quart every 460 miles. I just had the LiquiMoly flush and step up in viscosity to 5W-50 LM. No change in consumption noted. My next step is draining the oil, dosing seafoam into the cylinders and rotating it occasionally for a day or more, then doing the LM flush again.
omg my A5 is starting to go thru about a quart every 500 miles also.
What year are your cars?
@@carlosjones5451 2014...it goes through a quart a month
@@jfloyo11 my man, replace your pcv!
I bought a 3.0t with over 100k miles. First oil change it burned through a quart in 2500 miles. By my next oil change oil consumptions seems to have stopped.
I used Mobil 1 European Formula. Just saying. It stopped burning oil using Mobil 1.
3.0t are strong engines, one of Audis best, I would say the coil was to thin, or old previously , or wrong grade, 3.0t generally, don't have burning issues, that often. and yeh mobile one is really good.
@@brucecustommotorsI have the a6 3.0t tfsi 2019 and just noticed that burned 3qt in les than 2k miles 😬
Thanks for this! I bought an Audi Q5 2014 then found out it had an older engine. Seems like my "oil low" light comes on every couple of months. I'm going to try this out!
Did this work for you ?
@@chrisduckykellylifestyle7530 I still haven't had an opportunity to try it yet but I am definitely going to!

Sir, you are a bless for me. I’m going to try that right now . Once again thank you for taking your time to share your experience.

I second this
How is it going with the Lucas oil?
Anybody has anything to share after using it for a couple years?
Mine 2010 A4 has 93,000km on it and burns a quart every 500km. Just replaced the PCV and gonna see if it helped.
Fixed or same?
You think the water meth injection and catch can helps keep the pre-recall rings clean? I think Audi did engineer the rings to clog up and use too much oil. A lot of people say after the pistons and rings are replaced with the wider rings they no longer use oil. I have a 2011 A4, my car uses a quart about 800-1000 miles depending how I drive and highway/city driving... I haven't done the updated pistons/rings/rods yet.
Yes definitely check out my 2 videos on it

Oil catch can
ua-cam.com/video/CpOwiKTDdmk/v-deo.html🙏🙏🙏🔥🔥💪
Also keep an eye on your PCV valve...some Audi's burn excessive oil via a defective PCV valve as well.
can confirm this has worked for me, my oil has been at the same level since i added it. preciate the tip bruce!!!
my pleasure god bless brother
What car do you have? I have the issue in my a4 avant tsi 2.0
@@brucecustommotors 2010
How much of the Lucas did you add? The entire bottle or half ?
I tried everything to slow down the oil burning. Replaced turbo, valve guides and PCV, still burning. Went from 1 quart every 300 miles to 600 miles a quart. If your car burns 1 quart every 300 miles nothing will help except a engine rebuild.
Mine went as far as 1L every 250 Miles... Had to rebuild it aswel
Yeh me too, but if you notice in the video audi says that it is normal , even in your owners manual.for 1 quart per 620-to 1k miles. Trust me I have a tuned car, and this is the only thing that worked for me, try it out, its just 9 bucks, worth the try. I also have been using it for 3 years , and my car runs better. im on 120,000 miles now. cheers god bless. but if its the piston ring warranty issue, I feel you hopefully enough people did the warranty, before it was to late
it worked for me I was hesitant at first, but said what the hell, you should try it bro Lucas got a entire channel dedicated to this product
@@cOnejittOpLayboY yeh guess you fell under the warranty oil consumptions, how many miles did you have curious
@@brucecustommotors Broke motor (no more oil pressure, chain jumped off) at 132.000km. Did a complet rebuild and tuned after 3000km
So two months ago I bought an 2011 Audi A4, and wasn't aware of the oil consumption issue prior to buying this vehicle. I use it as an everyday driver to get to my college campus, so I'm driving it a LOT (bought it at 85k miles and have put 3k on it). I noticed early on that I was burning oil, contacted Audi with no luck, and have gotten a few quotes from mechanics regarding the piston ring replacement ($5,000, nope!). I realize now that this car ultimately wasn't a good purchase, however, I think I am capable of making it work for the time being. I'm going to change the oil next week and try this method, and also use some engine flush/Ceratec. It is smart to add both Ceratec and Lucas oil? I really enjoy driving this vehicle, I might replace the pistons and rings later on, but for the time being, I guess I will try to limit the amount of oil I am burning. Is this combination of oil stabilizers (Ceratec/Lucas Oil) a good take? Or should I just use Lucas Oil and give it a go? thanks for the upload!
I would just stick with the stabilizer, do it with an oil change, so you can have the correct amount, it works better win it’s added from the jump, and you’ll be fine don’t rush to spend money
Zachary, there is a settlement oil consumption issue..I had Audi replace the piston and rings for free if you are under 100k.
Adrian, I tried contacting three local Audi dealers, as well as AOA, and I was given the same response each time, which is that they wouldn’t cover the cost. I didn’t purchase my B8 from audi itself, rather from a used car dealership. If you got your rings replaced for free, could you please tell me exactly how you managed to get Audi to do a $5,000 job free of charge? Apparently the class action settlement is void after 80k miles. I’m sitting at 90,242 atm. LMK!!!
@@zacharyclark5374 Did you call Audi? The class action was 100k before...I called Audi and argue with them several times ...also make sure you replace the timing belt chain tensioner as well ...that is another issue with those cars and there is another 5k job btw I bought mine from a used car dealership as well. The dealers know this issue all the way and they have a program that I don't remember now. Good luck
Dont worry about it bro Just keep burning that oil lol
have you opened up the engine to be sure it doesnt leave sludge residue inside your engine?
Yes clean and smooth, been using it for 10 years on all of my cars, on top of that I’m tunned, if you also look at my oil change at the end you can see my oil is not gunky 👌👌👌👌 legit product
My oil level is fine but every now and then it says drain oil ….. idk why
… if your EA888 is consuming oil excessively, you’re going to need a lot more than oil stabilizer …

switched to green moly. used ceratek also with it. before oil change did the engine flush. let it idle for a few more minutes maybe 5 extra minutes and let it sit turned off for maybe 30 minutes. before used 1 quart every 500 miles. now using 1 quart every 1500 miles. BUT..... my car is a 2012 and not part of the recall so take this with a grain of salt
I use it just now on my audi a5 coupe 2011 i hope its works!! I will update here in next weeks .. i just top up my audi it had oil change 2000km ago
Update?
So?
I dont really like to mess with lucas or any other additive brand because i had a bad experience putting a lucas fuel system cleaner in my previous audi a4 b8 and my engine ended up dying on me is there any other option?
nothing that I can trust, but the fuel system cleaner is different and you have to be careful with any one, because sometimes they break up debree and clog it even more, and you can end up running lean, its better to just service it and do a flush or maintenance your fuel filter or injectors stand alone. god bless let me know any thing you need.
I have a 2014 audi a5. I have a i.e tune. Under hard accélération the car cut back like giving it to much gas. Could you help
Got a question. I bought an Audi s5 three no the ago it got 76000 miles on a clock. The service was done at 68500 miles but the service inspection light comes on. Shall I go for an Oil Service?
no the service light is just a reminder, to check
.air filter
.all your fluids
.belts
kind of like a physical for a human. Sometimes you may service it and every things is still good, depending on how you drive the car, it generally comes on in 60,000 mile increments , so your next one will be around 120,000. unfortunately, only the dealer can reset it or you can use vag or an obdelevn, this video will explain how you can do it yourself, but of course you don't want to overlook your service if you reset it.
ua-cam.com/video/AMjmDkPjJtM/v-deo.html
Thank you, Bruce. You are indeed very helpful. Basically the service was done in 2018 and the car was really driven only covered 6000 miles and hence the light comes on for service inspection. What I am thinking is to get just the oil changed for peace of mind and will use the Eleven to reset the inspection light.
Glad t find your UA-cam as there bot very much genuine ppl left out there who advice you good. So Bless you and will wait for more vid. As I am quite new to S5 need to learn a lot.

Pvc causes problems. But like Bruce said that's just the way German car operate. I use a quart every 650 miles. Also in these cars the oil goes to more than the engine. Moly is a great product.

i just replaced 1 quart of oil with the lucas, my car takes 5 or so quarts
The bottle says put 25% Lucas from the entire quantity your car takes.
If your car takes 4qt's, the put 1qt Lucas for example. If car takes 5qts, put 1.25qts Lucas, and so on.
There's a synthetic lucas oil stabilizer. I get it at O'reilly's
man yeh forgot to mention it, thanks for the reminder. I use that one for my b9 2019 audi, I use the one in this video for my b8 because of the higher miles,
Thank you so much brother! Should i put first 3/4 oil and then the Lucas oil stabilizator or first the Lucas and then the oil?
I upgraded to the s3 injectors like you did and the grab diverted as stated but does this require a tune for the s3 injectors to work properly because after car sat for few hour when I start it later in night it was starting and shutting off then after I drove it around in parking lot it idle fine. Please let me know if I have to do tune for injectors to work properly
Do I have to have a remap done for injectors to work?
I changed my oil as of yesterday 12/9/21 in my 2012 Audi A4 Quattro S Line. I just checked my oil after a drive. It says it's low. I put 3 quarts oil & 1 bottle oil stabilizer. Do you know the issue?

I just got a used 2017 A4 w/ 100k miles on it. I knew the dealer I got it from used cheap gas on it. You could hear it. I changed the oil, then ran about 200 miles of the BS gas out and filled it with Shell 93 and put a bottle of Liquid Moly fuel injection and gas treatment in it. Within 5 miles of driving on the highway, I opened it up and was cruising about 80 without any slowness as before. I drove for 20 mins and stopped for 10 mins to go in Auto Zone to get something. When I cranked it, my car purred. I saw that the timing chain was done as was the 02’s. Only thing I want to do is drain and fill the tranny and flush and fill my radiator. I have no issues after that and have put 430 miles on it in a week.

I have a Audi A4 b8.5 can I use this or do I have to use the pure synthetic?
yes 100% you can
All audis have that extended warranty till 100k?? I have a 2010 with 55k miles. It’s salvage title.
Please send me a link , I would love to share it with the team, 🙏🙏🙏

Hey Folks! This is a temporary fix at best. The 2.0 Audi 2.0 are notorious for drinking oil, and the 2.0 is 5:07 one of the worse engines you can modify. Take is from experience.
Should I use the regular stabilizer or the pure synthetic stabilizer?
If you’re over 75,000 regular, if it’s newer the synthetic
Got a question, would you ever try BG engine flush on a audi i have a 2012 audi a6 3.0t
Okay so for my 2.0 tfsi it worked but no like your result, I still need to top off oil once so often, I have 60,000 miles, should I top it off with Lucas or normal oil?
Do I add the Lucas same place I add the 5w-40 oil?
Yes replace the Lucas with one quart
I have this issue on my Audi a4 2011 2.0 turbo Quattro every fill up I have to put a quart in or more. I tried this Lucas thing for me it didn’t work.
Thank you sir.. I will definitely buy this.. I have a 2.0t
my pleasure
So glad that the oil consumption on my 2005 BMW was down to valve stem seals and the PCV membrane! I changed those components (which was labor intensive, but cheap DIY)! Dealing with piston rings is a nightmare! God bless mate!
Would this work on my 2012 a4 quattro with 100k miles and if so what is the best oil brand for these cars that help with the oil consumption
i use liquid moly, but castro, and mobile one also works great
@@brucecustommotors thanks brother much love
Hey man, do I need to add it only during oil changes? Can I just add some in between oil top ups?
yes just dont over fill your oil
@@brucecustommotors okay so if the add oil wanting light comes up how much Lucas stabiliser do I put in?
@@aaryanghimire9763 the thing about oil is it expands when heated. Thicker oil can increase oil pressure and if you over saturate your engine oil with Lucas oil, you can actually cause leaks because the pressure is to high.
Wait until you do your oil change. Before adding Lucas oil.
If your car takes 4 quarts of oil, only one (1) of the quarts should be Lucas oil and the other 3 should be the regular oil.
If your light still comes on to add a quart of oil, only 1/4 of that quart should be Lucas, the rest your normal oil.
do u you see any change
Can I use this liqui Molly sae 5w -40 on my 2011 audi 2.0 ? How do I know the best liqui Molly oil that I need to use?
I have an Audi A5 B8 3 TDI Sportsback Stage 1, the car has done 115K and oil disappears pretty quickly and I do drive it often on higher rpm but avg 3K RPM, is it normal or I have some sort of oil leaks?? I haven’t noticed any leaks at all and should I use the lucas in my car being at this mileage? If yes how much should I put in the 7ltr engine oil? Thanks
i’ve had a big issue with oil consumption on my 2013 audi a4, it seems like every 2000-3000km my oil is around 1quart and it’s very annoying having to buy $80 oil every time, i’ll try to find this product and let you know how it does; thank you.
No problem keep me updated , god bless you brother
Please let me know as I have the same problem with my 2014 s line
@Nocturnal did it help for you by adding the Lucas stabilizer . Any improvements or any/little oil consumption?
@@colehavens8920 peep my reply
Did you try?
I have 2014 A4 2.0 turbo. Low oil comes on at 800miles, I will try it. Thanks for the information.
definitely brother, let me know how it goes, so for its been pretty solid, as you can see from other comments.
Same here, how did the treatment turn out for your car? Just seeing oil consumption issues now
The easiest and guaranteed way is to buy anything else but an Audi
Please, can you tell me which is the best oil for audi 1.8 - TFSI 2009 petrol - LPG, for engine and transmission automatic
I would say, 5w=40 or 10w-40 depending on your miles

Thanks for the Vid!!!.., im going to try the stabilizer shortly on my wifes 2012 A4 as its been burning oil for years!! I noticed you can also purchase Lucas pure synthetic oil stabilizer as well. If I only run full synthetic oil, should I use the synthetic stabilizer, or do you think the regular one is fine to do the trick?
Volvo V60 T5 2014: Same issues, dealer suggested 1) Lucas oil and/or 2) going up one level in W
Gonna try it on my 2013 Audi Q7 supercharged. Mines burns down to 1 quart after 800 to 1100 miles
it should help let me know how it goes
Any update if you tried it?
I'm having this oil consumption with a 2010 Q5 I recently got. What oil are you using?
I have a 2004 Ram 1500 and have used Lucas every other oil change since 2007. Approaching 200k miles and the motor is still going! I've also been putting Lucas in my commuter car, that is being replaced by an Audi A4 2.0T this weekend (>_
ive been using mannoll 5w40 ester oil and since then gone over 600milles and no change on the oil level, still on maximum and I've been ragging it
🔥🔥🔥🔥💪💪💪💪I have to ad that to my list thanks for the share
Can you use this method for the 3.0t engine, my S4 burns like crazy
yes I did it with my 3.0t s5 I had previously.
Should we use the high mileage Lucas stabilizer or the original? I’m at 106k on my 2015 A4 currently
if you have 75,000 plus I would use high mileage, it also helps with blow bye
Just got my first Audi (A4 2008). Drove it back from Chicago and went through 2.5 quarts in the first 3000 miles. So I guess it could be worse, right? Should I add Lucas?
Most definitely
Mine burned 1 quart for every 500 miles. It's an A4 2011 cdnb engine code. Was sceptical at first adding lucas oil, then I bite the bullet and add 1 quart when my MMI shown minimum level. I drove 250 miles now, my oil level is still at the top.
@@milky3ay566 when you got your "add one quart " warning light , did you add Lucas instead of the quart of oil? My warning light comes in at about 600 miles on my a5
@@claudes1973 Assuming u haven't add any Lucas since the last oil change, yes that's what I did. I just add 1 quart of Lucas oil stabiliser which makes roughly 20% of your total engine oil capacity as said on the Lucas oil label.
