Yes I know, there’s a lot of exhaust rattle at start up. I have to go get the borla adjusted. There’s a bolt that extends quite far out on the Explorer that rubs against the pipe and needs to be cut shorter.
I wouldn't say down grade I'd say paying less$ for a vehicle that does more then what a trackhawk can do lol 😆 only thing dodge has is a rumbling v8 that is slowly going BYE bye. Lol
This was a downgrade!? Lol...I've been driving for almost fifty years and this was a MAJOR upgrade to anything I've EVER driven. I love ours, those 400 ponies NEVER fail to bring a smile to my face. Glad you're back...
Sounds great!! I love my 23" now that we figured out what that annoying clunk was coming from the front end. It took two trips to the dealership and a loaner car, but I got it back and while they were removing the right front strut for replacement they noticed the upper bearing had separated. So they installed a new RF strut, upper bearing, strut mount, and did an alignment. Reading through the invoice it says “Found SSM 52405 for front strut noise and vehicle falls within build date of SSM criteria" So Ford is aware of this issue somewhere along the line. I know a lot of folks are experiencing this same issue and no one seemed to have a solution I could find. Except that the dealerships were telling them it was normal. DON'T buy that crap if yours is making what sounds like a strut or ball joint noise from the front end!! This SUV runs like a bat out of hell, especially in sport mode. It has a stiff ride and handles like a go cart instead of a 4600lb SUV. I'm doing the ST Experience in Asheville next month and can't wait to run the piss outta one these that I don't have to worry about fixing later ;)
I bought a 2021 Ford Explorer ST and put a borla S type exhaust system and added a inner cooler I love it along with my 2019 Limited Twin Turbo I love them both 😎
I currently have an 18 Durango SRT and I too will be selling my DDSRT and getting an explorer ST due to getting ready to get a house. It ain’t about us anymore; it’s about the kids and the wife. Thanks for the inspiration brother and keep on making real life, good vids 🙏🏽
I had a Durango SRT and got the trackhawk. I would get another Durango if they redesign it. It always gave me a station wagon/van vibes lol. I like that trackhawk more than my hellcat as well. Glad to see you’re back tho brother!!
Still no issues with car? I have a hellcat but… I don’t use it like I should and kids getting little older now and need more room. So I’m liking the explorer st
I wanted the Durango but I hear mixed reviews that they have major issues. And I also love Ford Explorer's, so it's looking like I'll be getting one. I've been following you for a minute stay safe bro. Love from the Bronx🙏🏾💪🏾
Agree man. I have the exact same ST you do and had a SRT Jeep and a Hellcat Charger previously, so it's quite the change. SRT products are just more hardcore and engaging there is no dispute. I'd love a Trackhawk I just need the 3rd row! Glad you're well your videos inspired me to get mine earlier this year.
Grown man talk. I'm having a home built and had to put the Ram that I wanted on hold. This video makes me feel better about my choice. That Explorer ST is not that bad of a compromise. That vehicle is only missing one thing, A V8 !! lol come on Ford.....
Love your videos big bro and your words of encouragement...working on getting a Durango or jeep gtta get my coins and credit up...but keep the videos coming
Man you got one of my favorite channels on youtube bro. You puttin in that quality in your videos. You should get a pov headset camera so you can do pov videos with the whole dashboard showing but anyways I love ur vids and I love those cars.
Have you had issues when you’re going 25mph+ and then floor it, it has delayed responses and it doesn’t want to move as much? I just got my ST 3 weeks ago and I’m having this issue.
Oomph does cost real money! :-) I'm looking at the 21021 ST as a possible replacement to my 17 Pilot. Any issues with the car? Any repairs needed under warranty?
I talked to a guy who has one and has had NO ISSUES, with 7500 miles on it. However, his friends who have purchased the ST, have had issues with oil sensors and transmission failures. Have you experienced any issues like these?
Is this Ford Explorer reliable bro after owing it for a while any problems also you recommend this over something like a Kia telluride even tho DOESNT have the performance but it’s very affordable and a lot more for the price. I love both the Ford Explorer st sport package and the Kia telluride sx Prestige
I’d go with the Explorer ST. All the amenities you need plus the performance. My ST has been pretty reliable. A couple glitches with the back up camera but that’s about it.
My camaro (the one on my pic) was totaled in July and I'm stuck between an ST or another Camaro. ABSOLUTELY cannot do Mopar. They're trash (MY OPINION). Those light bars on the back are always out on them and now everybody went from R/T's to Srt and Hellcats. Had a G C srt for a month and it gave me nothing but problems from the first day I brought it home. Yo I get so annoyed when I see expensive cars parked at apartment buildings. House was a good move! Literally and you were in Manhattan....shiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiit. We use Durangos and Explorers at my job and they're ran 24 hours a day, you can guess what I do. The expl definitely has more room. Anyway good video and like I said I'm stuck between the two. The ST is faster than the Durango R/T but man that Durango just sounds better with the v8. Good video and congrats on your crib.
@@IntotheFurther. i like them but I made my camaro unique to me. I didn't like it looking like the average camaros I seen on the street. I don't know what I'd do to an ST to make it unique to me. Now I'm thinking about trading my bike in for a Can Am RT limited and I just keep my pilot as my practical vehicle. Ughh i still want another camaro however. This is hard.
5 star tuning will add 100hp and 165 pounds of torque with no engine mod. Software update only. 0-60 in 4.8 seconds $600 and on the track it beat the srt dodge durango
Just a few quick observations: 1.) That exhaust rattle in the beginning was terrible. Not sure if it’s due to being aftermarket when you upgraded it. 2.) For being a year old, the driver seats had a quite a bit of rippling in the Leather, and that’s something unfortunately that will worsen. The ST is a beautiful ride, but I had a twin turbo Ford SHO and was missing the V8 experience as well. Sold it. I end up purchasing a supercharged Camaro, and I know I’m truly happy. You have to do what’s best for you though.
Yea there’s a bolt that is a bit too long on the Explorer and rubs against the exhaust pipe. I have to get it cut. And yes it’s cool, but it’s definitely not a V8 lol
I picked up a ford explorer st as a daily, I also own a svr rover and a x5 m50i, and yes they don’t even compare as far as ride and quality, but the st honestly disappointed me. First it has a rattle at cold start, almost like a waste gate or heat shield, the exhaust tips are fake, the 10 speed trans is jumpy and shifts weird sometimes, the fake noise in sports mode, the screen is laggy, tach cluster is not customizable and can’t have a real rpm gauge unless in sports mode, the wind noise on the highway always feels like a window is cracked open. Now with all that said, it’s not too bad, it’s nice and fully loaded, but when I jump in my rover or x5 I never want to drive the st at all, and now I’m starting to smell burning oil at idle. My trackhawk was bad ass, the srt Jeep and Durango is faster and overall better then the st. Since having a st, im a subscriber now lol, keep up the vids.
You'll be waiting for years. Slightly used 2020s still in low $40s. Used Car Prices are at an all time high and it will hold value better than outgoing Sport.
The electronics in this vehicle are atrocious. So many issues across the board. Powertrain has mostly been solid. The HVAC has common problems as well. Can’t wait to get rid of ours. 31k miles and this thing has one problem after another.
Yes I know, there’s a lot of exhaust rattle at start up. I have to go get the borla adjusted. There’s a bolt that extends quite far out on the Explorer that rubs against the pipe and needs to be cut shorter.
I had the same problem on my Silverado after I had a Borla S cat-back installed. The garage should of caught it.
I wouldn't say down grade I'd say paying less$ for a vehicle that does more then what a trackhawk can do lol 😆 only thing dodge has is a rumbling v8 that is slowly going BYE bye. Lol

Glad to see u back brother been following u now 4 a year I’m in Harlem west side..
Thanks for the support brother!
The SRTs are raw! But let's be honest. This looks way more updated inside then the SRT..
Fact
Love the color man! Glad ur back
Glad your back bruh and making grown man moves! The ST at 400hp is no punk. Keep on grinding man. Bless you and your Fam! 💯🔥🔥
Thanks for the support. Bless you too brother!

my man bout time for a update! glad to finally see one

Damn it’s tempting but I don’t know if I give up that v8 rumble in my 2014 Jeep SRT.
U would after being launched on by one of these lol u haven't seen the vids of these vs trackhawk
Agreed I love the v8 Rumble
I’m glad I was able to help in your decision brother! But yea there nothing like a V8.
Yea I thought about selling my challenger hellcat and get a explorer st for more room. As I don’t go to car shows much or race my hellcat at all
Grown man talk. I'm having a home built and had to put the Ram that I wanted on hold. This video makes me feel better about my choice. That Explorer ST is not that bad of a compromise. That vehicle is only missing one thing, A V8 !! lol come on Ford.....
Honestly, three different people have now thought my Explorer ST was a Range Rover lmao
Love your videos big bro and your words of encouragement...working on getting a Durango or jeep gtta get my coins and credit up...but keep the videos coming
I understand we’re you coming from I bought a house over a year ago definitely on point with that
That ST will take a Durango SRT off the line. All day long.

Thanks for the support bro! Idk man. I just use my phone most of the time. I make videos randomly and do this for fun once in a while lol.
I’m tryna get that as my first car, used of course
Have you had issues when you’re going 25mph+ and then floor it, it has delayed responses and it doesn’t want to move as much? I just got my ST 3 weeks ago and I’m having this issue.
Have met noticed anything. And I only drive in sport mode. Normal and eco mode is significantly slower
any concerns about the single bolt differential mount
While I no longer have the explorer, the one I did have, came with 2 bolts in the diff from the factory. Wasn’t an issue for me.
I did not know any were made with two bolts from that year. Thanks
@@dmor3359yes the early builds. I purchased mine in December 2019.

25,000 miles and still going strong 🤞🏽

You can't really compare this car to the trackhawk. Can't really expect it to be as exciting as having that much power.
My camaro (the one on my pic) was totaled in July and I'm stuck between an ST or another Camaro.

Sounds like a good deal. What does it do to the warranty?
Can you please do a long driving video of this car? I am totally blind and would like to hear it.
You're blind, so how do you watch these car review videos?

Gotta get the Borla S Type Catback and throw it on there. Sounds amazing and no rattle. Real exhaust.
Tune and intercooler take the track hawk out.
Recently found your channel, loved the content but mad you went to Ford! But I understand as an Adult but just not Ford 🤦🏽♂️
It’s the pipes bro get under there and see why it’s rattling you can fix it
what Gass you use. 91 or 95 ??

why do fords start to look so old, so fast... its like the 50's when they changed car designs every year just to make the previous one look old...
Need some wider wheels they stick in way to much
Bad advice. Wider tires would be terrible for the climate he is in New York with snow.
I'll wait and buy a used one for $25k with 30k miles.

get a whipple intercooler, and a tune from ZFG Racing..it will blow your skirt up..
