- Decided to film the first shots with my new Benjamin Titan NP. It's a .22 cal AirRifle with serious hunting potential. Today i'm testing some lead free alternative pellets. Let's see what she'll do !
Those are pretty fun to shoot! I relate them to a flintlock being that you have to hold tight even after the trigger is pulled, almost have to sight that pellet into the bullseye. They take some getting used to but very effective on squirrels! Cool stuff buddy.
Thanks buddy! Exactly right...I'm working on my Artillery hold for that exact reason. Tricky, but really enjoyable to shoot.
I did the trigger change and wow hair trigger. BUT. Many type pellets and still wild flyers every can of them. tried cleaning, holding rifle loose, going over screws,
That's my experience too. Every 4th or 5th pellet seems to be a fly away. I'm gonna do some more testing when the weather gets warmer up here. Stay tuned...
Make sure your hold is consistent. My Titan is pretty forgiving (for a springer) but consistent technique yields consistent results. Don't rest your fore end directly on the shooting rest, as seen here. Put your hand, palm up, on the rest and put the fore end on your palm -- basically the way you would hold the gun when hunting. Mine does best, so far, with Crosman Premiers and RWS Super Dome. 10 shot groups at 1/2" to 1". I think the Titan is one of the most under rated airguns around -- _after_ the trigger is fixed, of course.
Dear Rand Rod Co, good night. I am Brazilian and recently purchased a Benjamin Titan GP 5.5 rifle similar to yours in a video published on September 12, 2018. I would like to ask you to tell me which is the best lead for this rifle, both for hunting, as in the groupings. I am selecting some models to try and buy and test, among them, Crosman Red Flight Penetration, Crosman Premier Hallow Point, H&N Field Target Trophy, H&N Baracuda Hunter Extreme Hollow Point, H&N Prometheus, H&N HornetPointed, Predator Polymag Air Gun. Here in Brazil some use Brazilian lead even Rifle Thunder. But I would really like to know an American, because Crosman is the best lead that this rifle accepted. From already thank you immensely for your help ...
I have the same gun. It shoots great but the break in will drive you crazy. The first 2 to 3 hundred shots mine was everywhere. Now it shoots less than 1/4 inch groups all day at 20 yards. Try the gamo redfire, they shoot best in mine. The trigger also seams to get better. Awesome video.
That gives me some hope. I'm probably around 150 shots with mine, and still having inconsistency...so i'll keep going. Take care man
Do you have a video of your trigger modifications?
Thanks for the good vid.
I just modded the trigger on my crosman titan Np. I can already tell a big difference.
Yeah. I did mine earlier this year. Incredible the difference!
How many times do you have to pump it per shot?
Just once per shot. It's pretty powerful considering the caliber ! (.22)
Could this kill a coyote?
My opinion would be no. It's only a single shot also, so follow up shots would be difficult.
My name is Edivaldo and I'm using my son's computer.
