You guys should do a video on the complexity and variety of Feldspars! Read my comment I posted and you will see why that is a good idea.
Also thank you for posting videos on gemstones I love gems and minerals, mainly gemstones though.

If like to see the crew try the visual optics technique. It allows a person to see the electromagnetic spectrum with no tools but the gem and a specific light source. When you see it ,it's AMAZING. Check caver461 visual optics video for a good detailed explanation of what it is and how and why to do it.

That was a great video demonstrating some of the key points of Gemstone identification. You can never tell from a digital photograph what you are looking at, that’s why testing is so important. From my experience, Specific Gravity is quite a precise science so you have to be very careful or you can be way out. Thanks Sam & Rebecca for another great share. 😀👍 from Wales 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁷󠁬󠁳󠁿.

Feldspar and Quartz are quite literally the most variable and complex gemstone species in the world. That includes for Quartz: Chalcedony/Chrysoprase, Quartz(Lemon, Lavender, Amethyst, Smoky, etc etc), Tiger's Eye, etc. For Feldspar: Moonstone, Labradorite, Adularia, Amazonite, Sunstone, Afghanite, Sodalite, etc etc. Quartz has variety in terms of formation, and Feldspar has variety in terms of there being so many different sub-species such as Microcline, Plagioclase, Oligoclase, Anorthite, Albite, and a few others and they form different varieties of Feldspar depending on the type of Feldspar layers that form on top of one another. You could have Oligoclase layers, Plagioclase layers, and Orthoclase layers all stacked on top of each other and that could be the reason there is schiller on two or all four of the perfect cleavage sides and I have even found clear white Feldspar that has schiller on the two imperfect cleavage sides.
That is why Quartz and Feldspar are in my Top 10 favorite gemstone species, Feldspar is probably my #1 all-time favorite though.
Edit: by the way I don't have an education and haven't even graduated high school yet (working on it online though), I have just been collecting gemstones since I was 5 years old so I have gained a lot of knowledge of gemstones over the last 20 years. Not only that, but you can simply go online and read through all the different articles and you will retain all the information and be able to sift through the misinformation, so long as you actually enjoy gems and minerals. That is how I know so much, though.

@@rogerhargreaves2272 Where I am at right now people don't want to see me do well, they disrespect my grandmother and abuse the animals she saves and pays to get fixed and pays for their rabies shots, and they make stories up about us. So if I want to do anything I have to move to a different state because this gated community is full of aggressive cowards and karens who don't know how to fight and have mental issues or something.
Someone even tried to poison me while I was taking a nap on the front porch.
As long as you don't give people too much trust you will be alright, remember that.

I have a question! Why isn't just volumic mass used instead? It seems easier to me to calculate. It's just mass in air on volume of water (by displacement). Maybe it's less precise, but it's easier I think

Probably have to remove it. Take it with a grain of salt but selling jewelry seems to be better separated. Sell gold separately from the gems unless it's some amazingly beautiful piece together then don't mess with it.
