Riverdance - Live from Radio City Music Hall (1996)
Under the street lamps in the new cities, the dancers perform with pride in their heritage, Curious to see what other traditions bring, struggling to bridge the gap between old dreams and new realities.
Original Choreography: Colin Dunne, Tarik Winston - Розваги
It’s glorious to have so many cultures and so many brilliant singers and dancers, writers and poets in America. We should be thankful for our beautiful diversity.
I love the comedy part in riverdance taps dancers
Incredible blending of the sax and bagpipe sounds. Incredible athleticism.
Always one of my favorite parts of Riverdance.❤️
i absolutely love riverdancing. Never get tired of them.

6:23 forward woke my feet up! I feel like dancing
Great performance 👏
Riverdance meets the Nicholas Brothers!
I love this show so much. This is one the two or three Riverdance shows I had on video. I had this version of the show -a journey- and a newer one of the same show, with a different lead. But this always was and is my favourite. This number too is one of my favorites, it's absolutely stunning. I wish I could some day see this live. Even though I've seen it on video so many times that I have memorized it. When I was little this would be something that I would put on and then dance along while watching (this was at least 10 years ago, I'm one of those folks who were born in -97). I loved the music, still do, and all the costumes and coreographies. This show is probably one of the reasons I started dancing. I wish I could dance like this though and if the opportunity presents itself I'm probably going to take on some class to practice.
Anyway I just wanted to tell how much I appreciate this show and all the work that goes in it.
I've seen the show live three times, and they are coming back through near me again next April, so I may see them again. Every single time they are just amazing. Like you my family had the 1995 VHS and I watch it a lot as a kid. The VHS ate the tape at one point, but thank to EBAY I bought a new one for my mom's birthday this past year.
is this exact performance in the newer generations? I've only had the Original River dance and Collin's version...and this was my favorite.
4:04 i love that smile
Phenomenal Performance by All. I Was mesmerized from start to finish God bless these talented young men for bringing such joy to the Public.
I remember watching this in my 3rd grade music class 😩😩❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
Блин,. это шикарно!
(Snaps fingers in rhythm) (Jazz language) Me: Yeah, this jazz music is groovy-o daddy-o. 😎
***RIGHT ON***
This is my absolute favorite of River Dance the second generation...and they don't have this version any more do they?
Yeah, and that was a sad move. They have revisited it though. Look for Trading Taps. Wooten and Winston are the best so far.
Someone named Steve Oliver posted this entire show on UA-cam. The sound is a bit out of sync with the taps but it's barely noticeable.I put it on my playlist anyway, just so I have it.
Так долго искал
I borrowed this video from the library in 2010. The entire show was just fantastic. Please say if it's known where I can watch the entire show.

@@ParkerLevvis right. (jazz language) This was so Jazzy and Groovy-o Daddy-o. Yeah. (Snaps fingers in the beat)
The crowd just goes ape.
5 people that could not dance their way through a game of tic tac toe. Talentless!
Ray 6342 I presume you are joking because if you're not then you've clearly no concept of dance and what is and isn't perfection. Colin Dunne is 11 times World Irish dancing champion not to mention every other championship.
When you show how it"s properly Perform i want to be sitting in front row and see You Do It flawlessly and with exceeding talent!
Even Riverdance gets invaded by Affirmative Action. sick
So funny I forgot to laugh 😐
To: 1957dirogo; you missed the point, This was intended to show the similarities between Irish dance and tap dancing. Jean Butler said that during a t. v. interview. In fact, the whole concept behind the show, was to demonstrate how music and dance are 2 things that we can all understand regardless of our culture. I'm black but I have relatives who are from Europe and the U. k., Which Ireland is a part of. My sister and I trained as ballet dancers and we were taught to appreciate the arts. I notice that you didn't criticize the Flamenco dancer or the Russian ballet troupe. Just set aside your snarky comments and njoy the show, it's dancing and it's beauty. I applaud Moya Doherty her husband John McColgan,Bill Whelan and all the cast for such a memorable performance that I will love forever. ❤❤❤
