    I have a story to share, I dated a girl like this once. I took her out to dinner and a movie. I was very respectful the entire date I picked her up, opened the doors for her and paid for everything. At the beginning of the night she was rude but I noticed her behavior slowly changing as the night went on and I couldn’t really pin point what exactly it was. When the night was finally over I walked her to her door. As I walked back to my car I heard her begin to cry. When I asked what was wrong she broke down apologizing to me. It turns out she only went on a date with me to try and “break my heart” based on what she’d heard from her friend about me. After going on a date with me she slowly realized that what she heard wasn’t true at all and she really enjoyed the night. Because she acted this way I let her know we wouldn’t be going on another date. In hindsight she went out to break someone’s heart without realizing she was breaking her own. There’s going to be a time when the girl in this video goes through the exact same scenario. She will try to humble someone that actually may have been a great partner in her life. Everything comes full circle.

Most humans are born good, sociopaths get that good beat out of them by trauma, psychopaths are the few not born good they are neutral to the world and can become good or bad depending on whether or not they get the help they need early on.

      @@thecoedbutcher52 Psychopaths are God's example as to why we shouldn't create an AI and then allow human beings to interact with it. AI on its own is gonna be fine. It's the emotionlessly, logically dealing with other human beings that's going to break it and make it turn viciously genocidal. Psychopaths often are the same way, they don't truly respond to punishment well, they're unfazed by guilt clearly, they don't respond to any of our systems that are designed for emotional, empathic beings and so everything to them just feels like a game of power and control. And really, it's hard to distinguish that sometimes even for the people that do it and end up power tripping, so for someone who just doesn't have those brakes or emotions, you're only making them worse by teaching them more about power and control. Instead give them an out, and a way of not being bothered by people, or other people bothering them when all they're doing is something pretty benign. Like I can imagine the outrage of being told you can't take cocaine, when you don't have empathy or emotion, and everything is dull and lifeless and it's like "why the fuck can't I smoke weed and see a stripper?" I think that it's rather ironic that most people don't bother trying to see things from the psychopath's shoes, and the majority of them aren't violent, the problem is, they literally have no compunction against violence if sufficiently pushed, so you need to create an outlet and path for them. Hence, lots of more psychopathic types gravitate toward fields where it can work well, like black ops, judges, surgeons, things where being cold and logical can be useful. I wonder what'd happen if we put them in different schools.

      A lot of the females that talk like this, (female because they definitely aren’t _women!_ They’re little girls in grown bodies!) For some reason don’t believe or accept that men go through things and have feelings too! They genuinely believe you all are like robots or something! And then there are the ones that know but don’t give a damn because “you’re a strong man, you’ll get over it!”

    Several years ago I found out I was cheated on by this girl that I loved. We were planning married and I wanted to spend the rest of my life with her. I met her while traveling and I moved to another country for her. After I found out that she cheated, I was broken. I turned extremely toxic towards her and the several girls I dated after her. I cheated on and broke several women; just like how I was cheated on and broken. I regret my actions and I'm ashamed of the person I was.

Tendencies are nothing compare to an actual disorder. I have a borderline personality disorder and just as you said, there is a difference in motivation for behaviours. Some of the behaviours may appear as narcisistic or sociopathic, but the driving factors are completely different from an actual lack of empathy. Most people are painfuly unaware of how personality disorders really work and feel the need to label you based on their opinion, not facts that often have to be confirmed by a mental health professional. Reading a list of symptoms on Google does not make you one. Stop using narcisist, sociopath and borderline as a way to label people who hurt you to make it easier for you to demonize them.

"Adolescent girls raised in fatherless households are far more likely to engage in promiscuous sexual activity before marriage, to cohabit, to get pregnant out of wedlock and to have an abortion" (Krohn& Bogan, 599). The father is helpful in developing a daughter's femininity and in their sexual development (Williamson, 208). Women who had absent fathers growing up tend to have idealized relationships with men, as a hope to get their lost father back, but then comes to the realization that the relationship is flawed and end up disappointed, only to start the cycle over again (Gill, 225). In some interesting statistics, 60% of strippers come from an absent father (Adams, Milner, Schrepf, 171). Females in single parent homes as opposed to intact ones are 53% more likely to marry as teenagers, 111% more likely to have children as teenagers and 92% more likely to divorce if they marry (Krohn& Bogan, 599). The mother is not completely left out of this scenario though. When there is an absent father, the response of the mother is an important one in helping the child cope more easily. You pay women money to give you blue balls, knowing you’re the upteenth dude to walk in there. None of the women in there are going to have genuine respect for you because you’re already IN THERE. You’re equating yourself with the type of men that need to pay for this kind of attention, and the truth of it really is comparable to eating off of dirty dishes. It’s just all around gross to me. I was diagnosed with bipolar 1 and OCD a few years ago. From a quick google search, bipolar 1 makes up 2.3% of the US population. OCD makes up 1.2% of the US population. What bugs me is when teenagers and other young adults use these mental health conditions as a personality trait…. Or a joke (even worse)… i was diagnosed in my mid-20s…. a teenage brain is not developed enough typically for such diagnoses to be valid. I wouldn’t wish bipolar depression or OCD on anyone. These conditions are very difficult to cope with at their worst. What helps minimize the symptoms of bipolar 1 significantly for me is eating healthy foods and listening to my body. I’m learning how to manage my stress mainly to help with the OCD, also breathing exercises have helped, along with meditation. I dunno if these suggestions may help anyone else. Thank you Aba N Preach for sharing your discussions, you both raise some very good points and your humor is electric. Take care ✌️😌

    As a young woman I also treated men like a disposable resource. I was removed from my family as a young girl and became sexualized by men at a very young age. This had me thinking that sex was all I had to offer in a relationship and therefore I used it as a weapon. I went through a long line of men, settling for POS dudes because that was the only type of man that was interested in having a relationship with me, although plenty of men were interested in sex with me. After many abusive relationships I decided to take a step back from dating but I still didnt understand my role in the abuse cycle.
    It took me leaving my home town and doing intensive work on myself to realize that the common denominator was me. I was responsible for the string of horrible relationships I was in. I did a lot of work and self exploration to get over my borderline personality and become a woman that a decent man would be interested in. I'm happy to say that I am now married to a wonderful man and we share a child together.

      If I wasn't an only child, I would swear you are my sister. My early life is so similar to yours. I too was sexualized by men, including family men, at a very young age. I was also removed from the home young where the sexualization continued. I too thought the only thing I had to offer men was sex, I was so damaged and my self esteem was so bad that I didn't think I had anything better to offer them. As a side note, men (and women) judge women who have sex with a lot of men, but they fail to realize how damaged these poor lost souls are. You truly feel like that's all you have to give and no better qualities.
      Anyway, I also went from POS man to POS man, wondering why I could not find a good one like my friends had. However, when I did meet a good man, I would treat him so poorly. Not because I wanted to hurt him. I did not want to, I actually wanted him to love me and me to love him. It was that he treated me so nice that I thought he had ulterior motives. I was not used to being treated like that and didn't know how to handle it. So I would ghost the nice guy and go back to what I knew, the POS.
      It took my physically abusive exhusband to make me realize my bad childhood caused this. I got help and like you, I am now married to the greatest man in the world and have 6 wonderful kids. I can teach my daughters and my sons how to act and what to watch out for. I would not have been ready for my wonderful husband if I met him 15 years ago.
      I hope the woman in the video gets help and the men she hurt can heal. Those who have been hurt, please do not take it out on everyone else. And I'm so happy for you that your life is now peaceful. I hope you and your family always have happiness.

      "in order for a diagnosis of OCD to be made, this cycle of obsessions and compulsions must be so extreme that it consumes a lot of time (more than an hour every day), causes intense distress, or gets in the way of important activities that the person values" so you can't say that everyone has OCD... It's like comparing a little bit of a headache to a migraine: they might both involve a headache but the first one goes away quickly after you take some paracetamol while the second can last for days and is so severe that it makes it impossible to do anything but stay in bed in a dark room vomiting and paracetamol is not going to make any difference...
      Same thing with narcissistic behaviour: a person doesn't have to be diagnosed with Narcissistic Personality Disorder to have narcissistic traits, because a lot of the time those toxic behaviours are a psychological defence in response to excessive levels of parental criticism, abuse or neglect in early life and are only there because that person's parents never taught them healthy ways of dealing with their emotions. In those cases the person doesn't actually have NPD but still displays narcissistic behaviours.
      I feel bad for this woman too, she's clearly acting like this because someone taught her that emotional manipulation is the only weapon a woman has, but her narcissistic behaviour should be called out just as much as narcissistic behaviours of men, so instead of complaining that labels are overused I think people should just educate themselves on what they actually mean and how to use them properly: focusing on calling out the behaviour is a lot more productive than trying to just put a label on the person.

    • @Bea359
      @Bea359 Рік тому +6

      the main issue with the first part of what you said is that you, Aba and Preach don't understand that a person doesn't have to be diagnosed with Narcissistic Personality Disorder to have narcissistic traits: a lot of the time those toxic behaviours are a psychological defence in response to excessive levels of parental criticism, abuse or neglect in early life and are only there because that person's parents never taught them healthy ways of dealing with their emotions. In those cases the person doesn't actually have NPD but still displays narcissistic behaviours, so while I definitely agree that armchair psychologists should stop trying to diagnose people, I also think that narcissistic behaviours should be called exactly that, instead of trying to diminish how bad they are by saying that the person doesn't actually have NPD. If someone is acting like an ass then they should be called an ass, no matter what their mental health diagnosis is ;)

    • @YesJellyfish
      @YesJellyfish Рік тому

      @Bea NPD is also a result of what you described. A coping mechanism to growing up abused or neglected and not being taught the right things. Narcissistic traits are the same exact medical list, it's just that you don't check enough to qualify for the disorder, but it's still a mental diagnosis that has to be evaluated by a professional.
      I do agree that someone with Narcissistic traits will probably act like an ass 😅 but the intent is hard to guess by even the victim. So imo if someone is an ass, call them an ass and keep the diagnosis to the professionals.

    • @Bea359
      @Bea359 Рік тому +1

      @@YesJellyfish I don't need to consult a psychiatrist to call out someone's narcissistic behaviour, just like I don't need to consult a psychiatrist to tell when someone's anxious or has a panic attack: I'm not diagnosing the disorder they might be dealing with, I'm just pointing out a behaviour and every single one of us can display narcissistic behaviour, even if we don't have NPD.
      It's actually really easy to tell whether or not a behaviour is narcissistic or not: it's all about the intent! Is it malicious, controlling or destructive, is the person making excuses for their behaviour because "this bad thing happened to me 20 years ago and I'll just use it as an excuse for my shitty behaviour for the rest of my life" instead of taking accountability for their actions and trying to work on being better? Or does the person care very deeply but simply doesn't realize they might be doing something that hurts your feelings, for example because they're autistic, but when you call them out they actually apologise and do whatever they can to learn from that mistake? And if you're not sure what the person's intent was then just point out how their behaviour hurt you and listen to how they react.
      If you want to call someone an ass because you can't tell which behaviours are narcissistic and which aren't then you do you boo, but I've dated and been abused by enough men like that and they all act and think exactly the same, so I'll continue listening to my therapist on that instead of listening to people like you and expecting a narcissistic person to go see a psychiatrist. People like that are not interested in getting diagnosed and becoming a better person because it's a lot easier to blame everyone else for their problems...
