For stripped out screw holes in wood, fine saw dust works better than sand, and won't dull up your drill bit.

I’ve always used sawdust and plain wood glue. In the field, one we had stripped nuts or bolts, and an emergency, will you pick up a little coarse sand from the job site and put them on the threads to make temporary Loctite

@@christosvolikakis1523 as a development enginerr we had access to tubes of "liquid metal" some sort of superglue alloy mix, even used to patch holes in engine blocks and various brackets. Not widely available in retail, lol.

Super-Glue or Cyano-Acrylate, can be bought from Zap-A-Gap, and comes in thick gel, medium regular, or Ultra-Thin (best), they have a "double cap" to prevent hardening in the bottle. . . cyano mixed with any aggregate (sand or steel wool) works with time to evaporate, but works faster when damp, not dripping wet. . .When mixed with cellulose (cigarette ash, fine sawdust, baking powder) you get a fast chemical reaction generating heat that will semi melt plastic. My favorite micro-plastic welding trick is to drip a puddle on target, and use slivers of styrofoam egg container as like a mini welding rod. You can pick your colors and semi-match parts on model kits. . .

The question has been answered. The objective & trick were not obvious until I recalled memories of buckled tubes & pipes.
1 thought: I thought the can was used as a bending form. (instead of a piping obstacle.) It gave me the idea that I'd use 2 smaller cans to form the bends on each side of the obstacle. (Or: Use 45 or 90 degree elbows at these points.) The wrinkly pipe in this demo is better than buckled pipe, but it's not great craftsmanship. Also: wrinkles may restrict flow and increase flow noises.

I am somewhat of a glue nut (I've never used that term before, ha). When in Thailand, I'd buy epoxy by the gallon. I'd use it for putting together an outdoor rock climbing park - with zip lines, and top-rope anchors in limestone karst. Often, I mix cement with carpenters glue - for all sorts of construction applications, including tile work. It's half the price and twice as strong as pre-mixed glues in hardware stores. To join metal without welding: thoroughly wrap the joint with baling wire. Think like a spider. Then slap epoxy on it. I'm 71, and just built a 15 ft high, all steel water tower, solo, using bolts and, at some other joints, using the baling wire thing. It's rock-solid.

One of the oldest tricks in the book. Superglue is like cement. It creates super-strong bonds to other materials, but is not very stable itself. How can you change that if you need to fill large gaps with cement? You add sand to the cement so that the cement can adhere to the sand instead of itself. The result is called concrete. The same principle also works with superglue. But instead of sand, you can also use fine plastic shavings, the result is even better.

You did a good job with the video. For repair of holes, wood chips, door jamb repairs, etc. I usually just use Bondo, unless I can’t wait 12 hours to drill and move on.
I use the heat gun trick frequently for hose adapters for dust collection, but never had the need for bending the pipe like you did here. I simply use angle adapters that are very inexpensive and you don’t have the wrinkled pipe.
Your video, however, was very interesting. Thanks for the ideas.

I love these "homemade machinations". In Hungary it is called "sufnituning" (sufni - 'shed, (wood) chamber'. It's a take on the Bavarian-Austrian schupfen form of the German Schuppen ('shed'). :)
