    THANKYOU! This was JUST what I was looking for - dimension comparison. Also, thanks for the cool but short and sweet intro! Fun to hear the two of you interact and help each other bring an informative and entertaining video :-)

    Good video. I bought the Bunkers. I think the egg carton pattern will make the best interface with the wet snow that I tend to get stuck in.

      Yeah they've been holding up great for us! Let me know what you think after some use.

    Considering that these are probably designed more for emergency use and not consistent trail use, I'd say they all performed with flying colors. I think these are mostly designed to get vehicles unstuck from mud/snow in a pinch. Say if you were stranded on a road at night in an area without cell service, and slid off into the mud/snow, this provides a way for you to help yourself get back on the road. This video just shows how tough these things really are, and aside from using them on boulders or as a bridge to hold up a 2 ton vehicle, should perform flawlessly without much wear every single time. Excellent video.

    Great vid. Side note: if you did these same tests in below freezing temps the results on the less expensive two would be much worse. ActionTrax, still good in the cold. Working on an orange color mod that's more UV stable now!

      Luckily I live in Florida lol. I just can’t afford hundreds of dollars on boards when I can get something that will work for what I need at a 1/3 of the price. Don’t get me wrong. If I had the budget I would, but my goal is as much trail time and camping with the kiddos as I can get, so I have a minimalistic approach to getting the job done.

      The ActionTrax are great! We've used them several times since we made this video and they've held up to the abuse.

    Great video! I appreciate that you did some real-world testing on them, rather than just talk about them in your garage. I'm looking at these two, I think I'm going to go with the Bunker. I like the way they performed here, and I appreciate how nicely they nest.
    Also, I love that you guys have a Jeep & Toyota. Best of both worlds, the Yota for the overlanding type stuff, and I bet that JK is a trail slayer on the rough stuff!
    I have a 4Runner, but really love Jeeps, so it's nice to see they can in fact get along, LOL.
    Also got a good laugh out of your skottle rating system, LMAO.

      Thanks! Everything you've said here is what we strive to be and do.
      You're absolutely right about the rigs too! We see so much division between the Toyota and Jeep world's, it's a little silly. The Jeep won't carry everything we use on an overland trip, and the IFS Tacoma will never out flex the suspension on that Jeep! Each serves a purpose.
      The Bunker is absolutely worth it!
      Thanks for checking us out!

      @@SpartanOverland yeah, 100% agree. I feel like there is a right tool for every job. I actually really wanted a Wrangler to be honest, but I looked at my intended use, and the fact that I commute 60 miles a day and this thing will mostly live on pavement, that's why I ended up going with the 4Runner. I used to have a ZJ and was into Jeeps first, and I never really noticed it coming from the Jeep side, but man there's a lot of hate on the Toyota side for Jeep. I really don't get it, it's like-minded people enjoying the same hobby, so why not all get along?
      Anyway, you got a new subscriber for sure. Right now I'm watching you guys push those Tacomas on the Potts Mountain Trail, very impressive!

    Thanks for this review. I think for my application (soft sand/Subaru OB Wilderness) the Bunders should be fine. I generally don't have an issue, but it's a nice safety net.

    Great comparison vid folks. A hair dryer or heat gun will mend the white stretch marks which allows the molecules to rebound back to original state. Not to much now, just watch out you don’t turn them into candles. Cheers 🇦🇺

    You can buy 4 sets of 2 of the bunkers. I bet you could modify them by installing a few nuts/bolts for sturdier traction.

    Nice Video. Question: Is action trax same as Maxtraxx. ?

    • @SpartanOverland
      @SpartanOverland  2 роки тому

      No, Action Trax are their own company. I would say Action Trax is the closer to Maxtraxx than any of their other competitors.

    The X Bull started to give cause you parked your 4 ton Jeep on top of them! If you just drove over them like you’re supposed to, they wouldn’t have bent!

    • @SpartanOverland
      @SpartanOverland  3 роки тому

      That's true, but in practical use of traction boards you often end up on them for more than a second. Especially if you're using them to get over an obstacle.

    It's an OK video with an improper use of "Traction Boards". None of the boards you used are designed for "bridging".
