after less than two years from retirement, when he drove the W07 at Monaco, he couldn't even properly fit in his seat Imagine what would it be now, after 8 years
Not 100% sure but I strongly believe it primarily had to do with his rivalry with Lewis and situations with the team. It took everything he had and was just too exhausting to want to continue on at that level required to win. It wasn't worth it to him.
He quit because he probably realised his life was already awesome and he could stick around in F1 for another exhausting 10 years and put probably $150m in the bank and win a load more races, but it takes a smart person to realise it's diminishing returns in terms of what that actually buys you, both financially and in terms of personal achievement... Or stay at home and be a properly present father watching your kids grow up and having complete freedom for the first time in your life. I often think the guys that stick around year after year with mega success - think Schumacher, Vettel, Hamilton, Verstappen - probably have a slight personality flaw, that actually gives them an incredible advantage in F1. The need to crush the opposition repeatedly and seemingly indefinitely. Rosberg didn't have that gene.
"ifisms". It is what it is, and Rosberg took a WDC, earned plenty of money, so he ended up ok. I just wish he would keep his mouth shut since, I can't stand him as a pundit.
Rosberg is the weakest champion this century, merely a highly consistent qualifier. I can't think of a single pass he made that was memorable. Lucky to drive a rocketship for a long time. He never won a race outside of Mercedes and was never really an elite driver, just had to race 1 other driver during his title fighting years in a car 2.5 seconds quicker than any other.
@@RaghunandanReddyC Yeah Merc Schumacher hated the car and was 43. Lots of drivers would have beaten him. Lewis had more DNFs in 2016 and the 2 Mercs were by far the quickest cars so it default was handed to Rosberg.
yes, Schumi was 41 when he came back and had 3 seasons to finish ahead of Rosberg in the standings. Past his prime but still, Rosberg did well to consistently outperform a living legend. Also, beat Hamilton in his prime.
@@isaacm2374 He didn't have to race anybody else in 2016. If Lewis had a car failure, Rosberg got the 25 points automatically in his rocketship. That makes it easier to beat a driver. Learn F1. Rosberg is the weakest champion this century by far. Undeserving and worse than Button!
Never seen Will this calm. He is jumping around all over the place in those F1 Thursday weekend warmup shows 😊
Rosberg could have been an 8 time world champion if Heidfeld went to Merc as planned rather than Lewis
or Heidfeld
Rosberg could come back. He isn't even that old
His fitness is not the same tho

@@ElliotMarkussen He would have to train a lot, but he could definitely do it if he cared enough. He wouldn't get a drive in a competetive car though.
Nico Rosberg was and still is one of the nicest gentleman ever love the feller soooooooo much
When you have a picture of him and talk like that about him, I think maybe you should talk to somebody ... it's not normal Mate.
Where can I see the full episode?
When you realize you own the same headphones as Scott
Will, sooo happy to see you again! ❤️

Helloooo. Is there anybody out here?

Did we ever really find out why Rosberg quit?

Wanted to spend more time with his Family

Apart from the fact he beat two 7 time world champions in the same car.
