- Specialized have evolved the radical Evo version of their Stumpjumper trail mountain bike even further with more adjustability, more control and less weight. I was lucky enough to let rip on the awesome trails of Innerleithen for a day of testing, tweaking and trying not to break my leg again.

Both brilliant bikes. Evo obviously has more geometry tweaking potential and a super smooth flowing frame/suspension feel. Hightower has less extreme geometry (but still dialled) and a punchier pedalling feel and more precise line holding but you will get knocked around a little bit more in return.
Hey Guy, listening to the video it seems this bike is a fairly quiet ride? Did you notice any overly annoying chain slap/cable rattle/weird noises while riding? Cheers and great review!

How tall are you. I am thinking of up sizing but my colleagues at the bike shop think i am stupid 🤔
I am guessing it is a pedal and crankset smashing boat anchor. Since the whole video is steep descending.
Will it take a 2.6 tire? Is it a pedal destroyer in the rocks and elsewhere?
I live in Virginia and ride all types of trails. Some trails are rocky and some tight switchbacks. Mountains to flat.
I am thinking the new stumpy, or Pivot 429 pro X01or Giant Trance X 29 pro 0/1? INTENSE Primer or Sniper T? Norco optic or some other?
So no too low BB or too long.
I question the quality of rim, spokes, nipples, hub and engagement on all the bikes. They also all seem to have heavy wheels.
What say you folks?

Yeah, we don’t have many long trails, but we have proper steep and twisty ones.

Do u get everything with the bike to swap the Geo when you purchase the bike ?
Yes, the chip in the back end just flips around and it comes with the second headset cup.

How does this bike compare to the Trek fuel ex 9.7? Which one would you rather own
The Fuel EX is closer to the standard Stumpjumper. Of those two I’d have the Trek.

What’s the reason for such a steep price jump over the expert?
@@sisufitness659 I’ve not ridden it I’m afraid but you’re getting top spec Zeb fork and Super Deluxe coil which is jump up from the Fox spec.
