I am so impressed with the Stephen King reference. That would make my life. I am not kidding. Those novels have been a part of my life since I was a kid and I’m 55 for goodness sakes. 👍🏽 Well done.
Mr. Krepshus , how is it relaxing? every time I watch these, i'm nervous that I have to call 911 and send someone to that fuckin mountain because Kevin or his guest can't breathe!
1) ahhh, the lake where The Andy Griffith Show opening was shot. nice. 2) Kevin always walks faster than his guests are prepared to walk. nice. 3) as an editor, some of the edits can be a bit brutal, but without knowing the full content, it's premature to judge - but sometimes I'd like to hear a bit more on the content before we smash wipe to the next thing. 4) nice interview. really nice. Patton is a heck of a talent and I'm very happy for his success. I wish him and Kevin the best!
i NEVER have conversations like this with other friends...ever...these are intelligent people with lots of life experiences to share...these guys been working for 30 years to get this energy together
Oswalts mention of many comedians whose voices have been hushed is admirable and wise. I hope he has much success and that the many that he mentioned are heard again in mainstream media. I dont even know what i am saying, what the heck is mainstream media today? Anyway, Patton Oswalts hike with Kevin was a good reminder that we nees to pay attention while also being reapectful of others.
I truly think if your a therapist you should take your clients on a hike and have the session that way. The physical release combined with emotional is so helpful❤
Kevin's so tall he makes grown men look like kids when he's around 😁 You could be Treebeard and Bilbo you two 😂 Yeah, tragedy is super funny! Happy Extinction! :P
Paton became main stream (imo) during the comedy central days of the 90's. He was like their thorough bred horse. He just had that familiar voice you knew it was him on a cartoon or a commercial. He'd always be on specials, the daily show etc... He was a house hold name at that point. He must have really good agents because after comedy central tanked along with most of the TV industry due to the net, he still landed solid sit come roles on other channels like the subway guy from King's of Queens. Ok, you saw all of that and in my mind Paton was a "wholesome" comic. That was ingrained in my head. I was shocked when he started to do a few of his own specials in the 2000's. I believe he had his own HBO special and there was one or two other main events where he was the headline. His material was so crass I couldn't believe that this is who he really was. This was the material he chose to write and preform. Profanity every other sentence. I honestly wasn't into it even though I still find him funny. He has that type of voice and personality like David Cross whom he mentioned. I just think family comedy suits him more. Like Jim Gaffigan's stuff. He's trying to go Bill Burr edgy but the vibe just isn't there tbh.
My takeaway from his comedy is definitely not “this guy cusses.” You may be thinking of someone else. His “type” is a nerd not a family man. I realize you don’t need to go blue to be funny but that wholesome shit is fucking lame.
You have to remember where a foot taller than most people, so it's only right to be accommodating and walk more slowly.not to mention the fact that you're in better shape than most so you have to be accommodating there as well so they're not growing out of breath trying to breathe and talk. Which the whole reason we're able to talk is because we breathe.so seriously man don't be afraid to walk a little slower deliberately. You'll get a better workout and probably better interview.food for thought. And I'm sure you're already getting pretty peppered with these as you are thankfully getting to do more and more of these. They're awesome! Keep them coming!
I like imagining that your first exposure to Patton Oswalt was his one-scene appearance as a video store clerk on Seinfeld and you saw it and thought, 'holy shit, I gotta look this guy up! He's going places!!!'
second time watching this. And I can't believe I didn't notice that Kevin is actually walking slower to allow someone with not so long legs to be able to walk at their own stride. Kevin just look at it as more of a workout.
He was really good. I saw him and expected just the usual no substance cameo, but I loved his character. Ended up being one of the bravest people in that town.
Hey Kevin loved your post as always,, ,,,, swamp gal here,,,,, If your over on the east coast love ta have ya hikin on the A T with ,,, ,,or come & join us at trail days in May ,on the east coast this year,,
I really love this show you always make interesting conversations :) it’d also be nice in a podcast style where it’s unedited and a bit longer.. I just need more of this lol💛
Patton is a Legend/Hero among comic pros and ex-pros, of course. Love the story about his kid confronting a new mom-- I discovered that all kids are natural born crib-side lawyers. "My learned colleague Mom never had me scrape my dinner plate into the trash." Off note: that casual shot of a coyote walking along the trail-- looked like it was 8 feet away and minding its own B-I Business. Dumb idea: rent a trained coyote and have him as a hiking guest. I know, more difficult framing and only you talking. So it's a real short installment. I like the idea.
Watched Burn Notice segments with Patton Oswald. He stole every scene from a totally talented cast! He is freakin' hilarious! Also love his scenes from old King of Queens. Very talented actor and comedian!
We actually heard it here first everyone, couldn't find anything about Patton's new special, wasn't listed for november netflix releases and there's no mention of it in on news searches.
I like Patton Oswalt. He was good in Justified as Constable Bob Sweeny. I still use his "go bag" line. I liked him in Reno 911. I would like to see him in a detective series as a Bob Sweeny type character. In Reno 911 he wrote his own character making fun of his own interests. He is multitalented.
When someone is making a film on public land or in a public place and post a sign saying "no cameras or filming" that is not a "rule", it is a request. They can't "make you" be quiet, they can request that you be quiet. Just because they are filming in public doesn't give them the power or right to impose rules on people. You are giving way too much undue power to these film makers and corporations. The same as you can't "make" people not film you as you hike on public land.
Patton is my Absolute Favorite Comedian! And my list is hard to beat. 1. Patton oswalt 2. Chris Farley 3. Nick Swardson 4. Bill Burr 5. Jim Carrey 6. Will Ferrell 7. Theo Vonn 8. Daniel Tosh 9. Bryan Callen 10. Dane Cook My Ten beats your ten Anyday!?!
"I worry that [my daughter] is constantly being shown examples of bad behavior being rewarded"
oh, I felt that.
Like calling for harassment of a kid? How would he feel if an adult did that to him?
We are living in Satan’s system
I don't even have kids and I felt that
@@annetteblackmon9578 and the last, of the last days.
I love this series, 'Scrunch Scrunch, Celebrities Wheezing'
What wheezing? They did great. This show has had major wheezing walkers.
@@lynettepatten904 Your second sentence shows why the series is named 'Scrunch Scrunch, Celebrities Wheezing'
Yeah. Like others have said, this isn't hiking, it's walking on the earth.
'Kevin Nealon and Patton Oswalt arrested snapping pics on closed film set' would have been a great TMZ headline, though.
oh gawd don't give that dude ideas NM!
Gandalf and Frodo leaving the shire on the way to Mordor (colorized 2019)
This is it
His role as Spence on "King of Queens" was hilarious and seriously underrated IMO.
yup and his roll on Reno 911 as well
Underrated - almost as bad as moist
I love this show kevin. Please never stop as long as is possible.
Since you are immortal I expect this to be no problem.
This hike went by so fast, I could have listened to you guys for a couple more hours.
That was great! I wish it had gone on longer. Thanks for including us on the hike!
So AWESOME to watch Kevin listen to his guest with a big smile on his face.
Patton Oswalt would be perfect playing Howard Cunningham for a Happy Days reboot!
I am so impressed with the Stephen King reference. That would make my life. I am not kidding. Those novels have been a part of my life since I was a kid and I’m 55 for goodness sakes. 👍🏽 Well done.
Which Stephen King novel is Oswalt mentioned in? I'd like to read it!
I'm so glad you're doing this Show Kevin. Thank you!
These are so relaxing to end the day with
Yep - absolutely.
Plus they're ALL different - each hike/show takes on a LIFE/ENERGY of its' own..
Mr. Krepshus , how is it relaxing? every time I watch these, i'm nervous that I have to call 911 and send someone to that fuckin mountain because Kevin or his guest can't breathe!
Try watching when you just wake up. Sets my day off perfectly
Love this dude! Crunch crunch every night!

Always enjoy these hikes! Thanks Kevin! RIP ~ Gary 💔
Patton is always even more interesting than expected. I should’ve learned by now.
Check out his youtube videos. So good.
What a delightful hike! Never knew he was so introspective.
Great hike. Patton is a legend. Thanks 4 taking us along. Look forward 2 the next hike. 😉
Thanks for having Patton on. He his so interesting and funny.
I got clued into Patton Oswalt when he used to do nerd cameos on Reno 911! Been following his career ever since. So freakin' funny.
CB Glass III yeah that character was hilarious, he did a similar character on Parks and Rec.
Oswald's Netflix special "Annihilation" was deeply moving and very funny.

Really spot on comments from Patton Oswalt 💗 I need to watch it again to memorize all the good he said ☺
Good interview. I didn't know Patton was such a down to earth fellow. Thanks

TALL DUDE and short dude/dudette. Always great conversation.
Thanks for these walks!

Kevin, great guest and hike! Also, loved the double bucket hats!
That was so entertaining, Kevin. Wish it had gone on for a bit longer, such a compelling conversation.
Patton's " ESPN " bit and his "Christmas Shoes" bit are two of the greatest works of comedy.
Patton is adorable! He’s a total Mini me next to a Kevin. Love the old man/Gilligan hats too 👍 😂
Love the realness of this interview.
Love Patton he's brilliant, like his nerdity and his humour too ! U awesome too Kevin! ✌😎

Patton on “Billy on the Street” is hysterical !!
Patton is so smart. I love him. Thanks Kevin!
Patton dropping some knowledge!!!!
Wow, that was kind of an amazing interview. I love this show but this episode is a standout. I loved every single thing they talked about!
Another great episode- thanks Kevin (well worth the extra minute)!!!
Patton is my favorite stand up comedian
If you take a poll among comedians for the top 5 funniest men alive, Patton would be one of them.

Patton Oswalt is such a fucking legend of a comedian
Patton is awesome! Great walk and talk
Thanks, Kevin. Another great episode.
I really like what he said about youth.
lmao when he talks about combining different people from stories as one person, that was brilliant !
I arrived with expectations to be entertained... and left having been deeply moved. This episode resonated with me.

I'm watching this on my laptop but my TV is on too and Patton just came on Will and Grace! LoL! I'm surrounded---- Love it!
Always great. I sometimes forget that I've watched all these people on TV and in movies for years.
You and Patton are my comedic hero’s, hilarious but also deeper than the Mariana Trench
Good content. Patton is a great guest with a very interesting spin on any topic. Funny guy.
Wow dude, best ever, you too are genius. And to talk so true to life is great, thanks big time
