Hi. Thank you for your radio fix advice. Had a recent issue with my truck where my pioneer radio stopped working, no power, no nothing. First, checked fusebox near engine, and even tried changing out a fuse, but no change, radio still dead. So, i pulled the dash cover and removed the radio, but didn't see a fuse for radio. After watching your vid, i found a very small fuse near the power cord going into the back of the radio, but the fuse was hidden by the plastic cover on the power cord that plugs into the radio. When i disconnected the power cord and removed the fuse, the metal filament was not burned out. I didn't have a multimeter around, so i just swapped that radio fuse out with another fuse of the same amp rating, reconnected power cord, and BAM, the radio came back on! Thank you so much for your advice! I first thought my radio was gone. Your advice saved me a lot of time and trouble! My vehicle is so boring ,when my radio isn't working.....
I plugged in an auxiliary cord to see if it would work to listen to your video. Yes, it worked. I decided to see if the radio would stay on if switch to XM and it worked. I turned it off and it came back on. I'll see if it keeps working.
Installed an aftermarket radio that would not turn on. The OEM radio only used the amplifier fuse so Toyota did not install a "radio" fuse. After hours of chasing wiring i watched this video up to the "check both fuses" part then checked and found the empty fuse slot. Thanks!!

CD I had in there got stuck in there because it had no power but once I took the facelift off and put it back on it doesn't even have CD mode anymore but it has a CD player. And CD player is one of the modes but now it doesn't even have that mode on there anymore. I'm telling you it's an equipment issue. Because if the stereo has a CD player but doesn't have CD as one of its modes when it did before and all the buttons flip out and the lights flip out every time I push a button and sometimes even has no power it sounds to me like it's just bad equipment. If it was a bad fuse then it wouldn't have power it has power. But it flips out. It looks fine with the remote. Real fine what the remote. Issues with the car stereo at all while using the remote. When I push the buttons on the facelift, the screen dims and the buttons automatically start doing random things it doesn't actually supposed to do. And sometimes it even has no power could be a bad fuse or bad wiring but it works fine with the remote so therefore it's not either it's just bad equipment.

When I start my car first thing in the morning my radio will be off. I have to wait for like 20 minutes till it turns on. Not sure what's the problem is?
If you used a multimeter as shown and didn't get 12v at the wiring harness on the proper power wire(s) and you're sure the fuses are testing good, then it's likely a wiring problem somewhere between the wiring harness, potentially all the way back to the battery. There are most likely several connection points along the way that could be lose or there could be a short somewhere in that circuit. If there has been recent work done to the car, that'd be a good place to start. Also, assuming you were testing for 12v at the wiring harness that feeds in the back (or side) of the radio, did you have a good ground point for the black probe on your multimeter and was the key turned to Accessory or Run? Hope the questions aren't too condescending, it's just hard to know what someone's already tried specifically over UA-cam comments.
So, my 2015 volkswagen passats radio will either take forever to come alive or not at all. Also, my phone sometimes connects to bluetooth, and other times, it says my phone is not compatible. Does anyone else experience this issue?

I have now ordered a new head unit from crutchfield along with the dash kit harnesses and my car data sheet
I'm so worried man.
Please if someone could just tell me if I need the iDatalink harness if I am not trying to retauin any factory feautures???
The reset button for Kenwood you need a pin.
Thanks!!
I don’t even have to turn the switch on. I just plug the harness into the radio and the fuse in the back of the radio blows. What’s going on?
thanks

My head unit shuts off when I turn on my headlights and sometimes it won't turn back on, it is a plug and play setup.
Wiring issue, the plug and play kits can be problematic, especially the no-name brands
I hope someone see this.... So the only way i get my 7din radio to work, is i have to connect the ignition wire to the 12v but when its done like that even when the vehicle is off there is power in the radio. When its connect correctly the radio wont come on at all.
Sounds like you have the wrong parts for your specific vehicle. We can help, if you send us a message on facebook or instagram.
When I start my car first thing in the morning my radio will be off. I have to wait for like 20 minutes till it turns on. Not sure what's the problem is?
Sounds like a radio going bad as long as your wiring is good. A short in your wiring could also cause power cycling.
The reason why his radio was not coming or he have to change the fuse in back of the radio
Circuit board malfunction on the kenwood. Cheaper to replace than to repair.
It was going on and off when it wanted but when i took it to a place where they sell audio systems tested it and it has no power...fuse was good
My radio works...but when you try to change stations it goes crazy and can't put back the station you want...what can that be
Sounds like the fm tuner is going out. May be time to replace the radio!
why does mine turn on when i turn the key but when i fire the vehicle up it turns off
Many variables there, and sounds like it could be the wiring harness adapter.
My radio is getting no power and all fuses are intact. What do I do?
Why dose my pioneer radio show a loading screen then turns off
Sounds like a bad radio.
Funny I have just About This Kenwood and my Red is not working. To bad I'm not Learning Why Not Power on Yellow no power on Red
Do you have job vacancy
Changed my batteries now it won't work checked my battery connection fuse reset nothing
So, my 2015 volkswagen passats radio will either take forever to come alive or not at all. Also, my phone sometimes connects to bluetooth, and other times, it says my phone is not compatible. Does anyone else experience this issue?
i bet it a 10 cent capacitor.
I thot he said hey guys Chrisfix here
I am blind in my life eye. Excited VA. My pass. My Rio not working. Help me.
I have a new radio and my old one works but my new one doesn't
My radio only work on constant power by hooking the red and yellow together
You either have the wrong harness adapter, or blown fuse. Depends on the vehicle. Send us a message on facebook and we can help you out.
