5:38 One of the craziest layups I've ever seen. Very similar to the famous one against the Nets in the 90-91 season

Greatest player ever lived and of any era!! It's not even close honestly. MJ had God given ability w perfect fundamentals and unbelievable drive to succeed!! This dude played both ends of the court night in and night out. Don't forget he's 6-0 in finals and won 6 finals MVPs! And people wanna compare Lebron......lmao!!! Kobe is the closet ever to MJ

When I read outtakes I was assuming I was going to see amazing misses by Jordan...but this in my eyes is as good as an Artistry 3. Thanks hoops.

Man, this flick has made my day..... many thanks hoopsenc..... I've seen Jordan footage I didn't even know existed! There is seemingly no end to this guy's athletic talent..... thank God for the internet.... I don't think the legend of Jordan will ever be forgotten..... DWade, Kobe and LeBron are at a loss before they've even begun.

really sick videos hoops. Ive been a fan of Mj's since i was a kid growin up in chicago, but your videos really take apart the intricacies of jordans game. I feel bad for the youngins who missed out on jordans best years. Im sure i speak for many of your viewers, thanks for putting all this together.

  • @TheBluv12

hoopsencyclo, you're a good dude. I'm in awe of your compilations.
i love the young clips of MJ. I never got to see 80s jordan live- he's up there with the fastest to have played in my opinion. But 80s jordan and 90s jordan are like two controlled his power. The 80s version was pure, unadulterated fire. so sick.
    anyways thanks

That's exactly what I was thinking when I saw that. I had to rewatch that part like 5 times just so I could try and remember all that he did in that movie. There are so many moves where Jordan does some crazy footwork to get a better shot. Like 6:22, where he gets that assist after breaking 3 defenders.

  • @Jmill32
    @Jmill32 15 років тому

The dunk at 3:03 is vintage Young Jordan. He used to do that move all the time, the lightning first step, 1 dribble eating up about 15-20 feet of space, tip-toeing the sideline where there is seemingly no room, elevate sidewards and back towards the lane, ball in one hand and dunking so quickly that the help defense has no time to get over. Classic Mike, the explosion just unparalleled before or since.

Hoopsencyclopedia, dude your videos of Jordan are the best by far. This is the best video I've seen. Basketball= Jordan
The man was defended by: Barkley, drexler, starks, hardaway, payton, kemp, dumars, dominique wilkins, majerle, Magic, Rodman, oakley, glenn rice, mitch richmond, rolando blackman.. owned everyone of them.. GOAT

Had to watch this again, his hang time and balance to still get off good shots was simply amazing...for any other NBA player in history, some of these shots would be a bad decision, for him it was another day at the office.

I mean how bad is it that we don't have more material of Bruce Lee ???
MJ is a legend and the material is there. So come on , NBA ...provide it !!!

Hoops: I know you call this an outtakes or a b-side or whatever, but its just as good as parts 1 and 2. The music has a dreamy, ethereal, light/airy vibe to it, perfect for the player who still to this day seems too good, too stylish, too perfect to have been real. It also matches his playing style to a tee. Another work of art hoops. I only hope there are about 200 more parts coming.

Finally a vid that shows MJ in his early years, maybe this will stop the Kobe has a better this and that.....Jordan doing crossovers, hesitations which was harder to do back then, the only time you really got to show those things were either in transition or fastbreak opportunities, due to handchecking. Look at his speed and first step, unmatched today.

Regarding game-winners, there is no official list. When that ad came about missing winners, MJ was asked how many he had made. He said he didn't know and the number that's out (25-27) was put out by his copywriter for his ad without research so they went with it. Depending on the definition of a winner, Phil said it's probably around 50 in one interview. But, MJ said no one has gone through each game to check so there is no official record. The internet lists are all non-official.

He was incredibly fast, people are always marveling at how fast lebron is and no doubt he is fast but MJ at this age was a step ahead.. Thats the one thing that stands out. HE had amazing control in the air and could manipulate his body to get the fouls he needed. He as was a lock down defender. I wouldnt say MJs long range game was weak, just because he liked to go inside but I also wouldnt say he is the best. As far as inside goes, he was on another level. His advantage was his drive.

If these are the outtakes I would love to see what the highlights are! Jordans outtakes are any other players greatest plays of their career including Lebron and Kobe.
