    Jordan was a complete finisher the minute he walked into the the league. Looks completely natural and instinctive. A polished and explosive first step leading to an unbelievable package of finishing moves. Floaters, pull-ups, bank shots, reverse layups/ dunks, double pumps, switching hands in mid-air..... all equally good with left and right hand at the rim. Obviously his mid-range and fadeaway/ total post-game would be highly polished during his second Bulls-stint but you can see it clearly that he was on a different planet just from a finishing stand-point.... A natural master of acrobatics.... he could just feel the positions/angles needed to finish every single damn shot.

    The balance, grace, agility, fundamentals, and explosiveness of this man were incredible and really unprecedented - even in 1984. The way he can so smoothly adjust in the air -- whether it be a jump shot, layup, or anything else multiple defenders can throw at him. With a few exceptions, no NBA player today or in the past possesses equivalent skillset or raw talent, and absolutely none of them can match the competitiveness and ability to step up in the clutch at the highest level of the game. Not to take anything away from Kevin Durant and Giannis this year, they were both incredible in the playoffs. But there is a reason why the vast majority of NBA players and commentators still believe Michael Jordan is the GOAT, and even back in 1984 you can see the makings of how the greatest basketball player came to be.

    • @beenizz5102
      @beenizz5102 9 місяців тому +1

      Jordan is totally amazing for sure. But we often ignore that dr j had his fundamentals explosiveness balance agility and Grace. Him and Skywalker is where MJ got it from. And they got it from Connie whom got it from elgin.
      The main reasons the majority feels MJ is the goat since he’s retired is because of media marketing deciding MJ was going to be the golden child to push as a goat and make mass money off branding him as well as the decision to not show basketball film at large prior to 1992
      People today do not have a correct image of basketball history and have let narratives distort reality such as magic and bird saving the nba and then MJ saving it after them. They don’t realize a whole beautiful universe of basketball goathood was in fullest effect from the mid 60s-mid 70s where we even saw talent and incredible flashy and explosive players that surpassed the likes of dr j, MJ, gus Johnson, etc… with guys like crackerjack, Joe Hammond, Earl Manigault, ollie Taylor, etc… that didnt even choose the nba however the legends of the nba would prove themselves against these guys during the summer pro leagues in the offseason to keep their skill sharp rather than rest with 0 load management or so called advanced tech and medicine during a highest pace game of havin to keep up with high iq ball movement all with playing the game at its highest level of difficulty with the hardest rules to play it by.
      This time frame produced a few guys that for sure are overall greater players than Mike and everyone else today and the media has turned the worlds brain to mush when it comes to realizing that reality causing most people today to forget that an nba existed prior to jordan bird or magic, or to be as ignorant and uneducated enough to truly believe and spew out that this era was full of players and circumstances that are considered too weak and whack to compare to the ones after.
      It also further removes people from the reality that people choose MJ as the goat majority today especially due to constant media outlet tv and footage but the people who do choose him are also majority not from prior eras of MJ while majority of people from prior eras pick guys like Wilt just as the future will be picking Lebron. Only difference is from prior eras of guys picking wilt, that era didn’t have half the footage or media control that MJ or Lebrons era has or the next one after Lebrons will have where they will be picking curry or some other new kid etc…. And above all else, just cuz a majority opinion picks a player, never proves anything as only objective reality of the extents of what each players individual capabilities are as an overall player will be the only ways to ever prove who’s greater than who and who’s the goat.

      @@bigmike8564 It also proves that MJ was not the reason why IT was left off the team. MJ never hated Thomas enough to not play on a team with him, in the Summer of 1991(after the ECF walk off) they played in multiple summer charity games together and had excellent chemistry, also they played again together in the 1992 all star game (a year after the ECF 1991), again excellent chemistry and shared laughs. The real reason IT was left off the team was bc Magic & Bird did not want him there bc he was spreading rumors about Magic being gay bc of the HIV virus (Magic and IT were best friends up until 1992) and that Bird was only talked about as being one of the greats bc he was White. Mike didn’t like what he and the Pistons did in the ECF but he didn’t hate Thomas enough to not share a court or locker room with him. Magic & Bird might have been “old” in terms of NBA years but their names and opinions still held a lot of weight in the league, if they don’t want you on the team, you won’t be on the team. MJ was just the perfect scapegoat bc he was the headliner of the Olympics. Mike was too competitive to not want someone on the team. Barkley & Karl Malone also didn’t like him but it was I.T’s comments about Magic and Bird that kept him off the team, not MJ.

No wonder bob knight already conclude him as the GOAT even before playing in NBA league. And the achievement they got in 1984, is the same if that happened in today's era. 0:15 = Announcer: "Will he sell some tickets in Chicago?!" / 2:18 = "He will sell some tickets!"
    Truth: Sold them there, in other cities with an NBA team, and around the world.

    I think after this game against the NBA players, Chuck Daly called him the greatest player he had ever seen play basketball which to him meant he was the best player ever. Off of a fucking exhibition before even stepping 1 second on an NBA floor.
